Spanning three storefronts and established in 1977, Raja Brothers Supermarket is, as the kids say knowadays, epic. In front of the shop is a massive selection of fresh fruit and vegetables - potatoes, peppers, mushrooms, various kinds of chilli, ginger........and inside you've got most other food stuffs and a big hardware selection. As this supermarket caters for the local Asian population the product range fascinates me. It's possible to find all the products usually available in an average supermarket, but in this one I never quite tire of staring at things thinking "I wonder what that tastes like" or in some cases "I wonder what that is".
The product range is very competitively priced, and if you're prepared to by in bulk (say, enough rice to feed your household for a month) there's some impressive bargains on offer. And if you're a fan of homemade curries, you're going to have a much better choice of ingredients here than in most chain superstores. In conclusion, a shop I like to visit because of it's interesting range of products and it's low prices. read more
