Dr. Singh was attentive and caring the one time I saw him. However, his office staff is unorganized, unhelpful and rude. Unfortunately, one is forced to interact with the office staff a lot more than with the doctor. I'm looking for someone else to provide my care. read more

Dr. Singh total Professional highly recommended in the medical community. Top surgeon compassionate with a Great bedside manner. He saved my life...! I wish I could say that about his office staff. Not very friendly and compassionate just the opposite of the physician. I arrived early they said there is a 20 minute delay. I waited over an hour. When I asked front staff how much longer they said, " another 20 minutes, or I could leave and reschedule. " WTF I was shocked that the staff was asking medical history questions to patients openly in the waiting area instead of calling them up to the window. What I originally said in my previous review about Dr. Singh is all still true. He truly is a great doctor and lovely human being. But I experienced something in my last nine months with his office that I really should add to give you a fuller picture of what you can expect at his office. It's a long story but basically I had been trying--for about NINE RIDICULOUS MONTHS--to get a Repatha prescription filled through his office. But, due to Singh's office being understaffed (according to someone who works there complaining to me about it and offering it as an excuse for the many delays), the pre-auth kept getting caught up in a cycle of the ins co requesting pre-auth info and then Singh's office not responding in time so the ins co closed out the request. Over and over and over. That and other problems mainly to do with Singh's office not responding to just about everyone: the ins co, the pharmacy, me. They've never been the best office at getting back to you but things have really gotten worse in the last several years. Many months of me calling the office every week or two to ask the status, only to be told they were taking care of it and would get back to me, which they rarely did. They RARELY call like they say they will, from my (and my mother's) experience. I always had to hound them for info. For NINE months on this particular issue. And it was never resolved, even after contacting Dr.Singh personally twice (he had given me his cell number years ago during a medical emergency with my mother, who had been his patient for decades). Not even getting the boss involved solved the problem. I'm happily with a new cardiologist now (in another state, I moved away). Guess how long it took him and his staff to get the Repatha filled? ONE WEEK. Again, love Dr. Singh as a doctor/person but his office seems like a disorganized, understaffed mess. And ultimately it is his responsibility to staff fully and make sure his office is run properly so I can't totally blame his staff. It shouldn't be the patient's job to listen to his staff complain about being short staffed and frazzled. I am sorry you're short-staffed but, no offense, I have bigger problems, like the fact that your many ridiculous delays in getting me back on this med doubled my cholesterol into the 400s and kept it that way for nine months. Already had one heart attack, not looking for help to have another one, especially from my cardiologist! You aren't gonna die from being under-staffed...but your patients might. read more

Dr Singh has seen both me and my husband and I believe he saved my husband's life. He diagnosed that my husband had a 98% blockage and put the stent in on a Sunday. For myself it was nothing as serious, but he treated me like his only patient. He referred me when necessary but stayed in touch and personally called me on the phone to give me my results. He has a very busy front office and believe improvements could be made in that area, but this review is about Dr Singh and he is fantastic in my experience. read more

My son was 38 yrs old, diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he had to have fluid drained from around his heart - all of this was a big emergency etc. We knew he was going to die. Dr. Singh was one of the kindest, most compassionate doctors, very honest with us, and we needed those things so desperately. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Singh. I saw him about a week after my son's death while I was in a local Starbucks. I wanted to thank him so I walked over to him and said "You were my son's doctor." He looked away from me (I think he was worried I might say something weird in the Starbucks and I almost started to cry (things were really tenuous at that time because my son had just died). I gathered my coffee order and I walked back over to him and said "I wanted to thank you." And I left the store. And the coffee turned out to be something I hadn't ordered. Horrible MD. Went with my dad to his apt, this 'doctori' didn't even know what my dad was taking (he's been on the same thing for 15 yrs!) and keep mixing him up with different patients. Singh has NEVER personally returned a phone call in all the time my dad has been a patient- so don't expect and answer to any Question, except- "make an apt". I don't know why he is always booked 3 months in advance?! Finally, convinced my dad to seek the care he deserves elsewhere :) read more

I was referred to Dr. Singh by one of my old coworkers. He is extremely honest with you. He figures out what meds you shld be taking and which meds you shouldnt be taking. As long as you follow his directions you should be in better shape then when you first got there. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a heart specialist. Dr. Singh has been my cardiologist for over five years. He is extremely competent, compassionate and has a great sense of humor. His personality is accessible. My condition required a further referral to Stanford and he chose a great Doctor there to work with us both to address my needs. I have never talked to anyone in the local medical community (pharmacists, nurses, hospital personnel, etc.) who do not rave about Dr. Singh and it is well deserved!! The detracting factors are the wait (he is popular and there is a long wait at times). Staffing is a problem, although having Robert, the medical assistant back on board has helped with efficiency. The other detraction is his office partner, I had a very bad experience with Dr. Johnson and would not want to have him as my doctor in any circumstance. read more

Dr. Raj Singh is THE FINEST physician with whom I have ever been associated as a patient. I give him my VERY HIGHEST recommendation. * If you or a loved-one needs the ABSOLUTE BEST in cardiological care, then I urge you ask your family physician for a referral to Dr. Singh. Dr. Singh combines in his practice these outstanding characteristics: 1) He has the almost unique ability to put patients at-ease under the most difficult of circumstances. His BedSide manner is unmatched. 2) He is technically excellent in BOTH the application of medical (pharmaceutical) and physical (primarily catheter-based surgery) treatments against heart disease. His post hospitalization care is also of the highest quality. He listens carefully to me as patient, thoroughly explains treatment options, and we arrive at a mutual plan of action to address any problem. He always recommends preventative measures, and he referred to a Cardiac ReHab program that was very helpful. He even PERSONALLY returns patient phone calls. If first met Dr. Singh in the hospital emergency room when, as he put, I was in the "middle of heart". His overall competence and friendly demeanor immediately made me less anxious. Within about 15 minutes of my arrival at the hospital Dr. Singh had opened a 99% blocked coronary artery using balloon angioplasty and a stent. Due to Dr. Singh's quick and effective treatment I suffered NO detectable heart muscle damage. Unfortunately I developed blockages in other arteries which required two more angioplasty & stent procedures. But I was fortunate to have Dr. Singh perform all the procedures. During the most recent case, I felt very poorly on a Monday, his wonderful and helpful staff worked in an appointment with Dr. Singh that very Wednesday. At the end of the exam Dr. Singh had me admitted to the hospital, and scheduled an angiogram for the NEXT DAY. During the angiogram Dr. Singh found a major a major blockage in the most important of all the coronary arteries. He treated the blockage with a stent and I started to feel markedly better while STILL LYING on the Catheter operating Table. Dr. Singh released me from the hospital that FRIDAY; repair of a 90% blocked heart artery with only TWO NITES in the hospital. My recovery was flawless, and I feel MUCH better. I would not recommend Dr. Singh at all. I saw him for a year and he was unable to make any improvement in my condition. He is not very personable or nice to patients. You would be smart to find a good cardiologist over the hill at Stanford or Palo Alto. read more

Dr. Singh, in our opinion, is a ROCK STAR! He is a great physician with a remarkable sense of humor and a beautiful personality that makes it very enjoyable to have him as my husbands's doctor following a Heart Attack, a stent, and then two more stents! Robert, the Doctors assistant is a caring individual, attentive and very kind in all of his conversations with us. Dr. Singh does not procrastinate, if he feels there is a need for a procedure, ie, angiogram, etc, he goes right in. Insurance is called for approval within minutes, and Dominican Hospital is alerted. We would highly recommend Dr. Singh for any patient who is experiencing weird health issues that do not make logical sense. Dr. Singh gets to the root of the issue immediately, making you feel that YOU are his only patient. If you are 55-65 years old, experiencing light headedness, dizziness, ice cold feet or hands, you may have a clogged artery! See Dr. Singh before you end up in a life threatening situation. A simple angiogram takes 15 minutes in a Hospital environment and any clogged arteries are detected THEN, not later when you are having a heart attack commonly known as the "Widowmaker". My husband had his heart attack in an airplane at 35,000 feet above Mississippi on 9/5/2013, but this would not have happened if we had gone to see a cardiologist with his symptoms. It took over 3 hours from the time his heart attack started to the time he was on the operating table at Atlanta Medical Center, which is not good. You have a 45 minute window, after that the heart muscle begins to be damaged. DO NOT depend on the STRESS TEST. My husband passed each and every stress test he was given just before his heart attack. Go see Dr. Singh!! read more

I had a horrible experience with Dr Singh about 15 years ago. He reprogrammed my pacemaker without understanding my condition or what my pacemaker was programmed to do FOR ME. He did not understand my condition, nor did he make an effort to. The cardiologist I transferred to after seeing Dr Singh just retired and turned his patients over to this office. There is NO WAY I will stay there. To acknowledge the people who have a good relationship with Dr. Singh, I'd say he could be just fine at dealing with simple cardiology situations. I have seen him twice since being hospitalized with very high blood pressure. Both times I waited over an hour past my appointment time, with no apology or explanation for the wait. He did not remember seeing me in the hospital, and had none of my hospital records ready for my appointment. After not writing down my new prescription amounts in my records or notifying the pharmacy of the changes, I called his office to try and resolve the problem. Twice his staff failed to contact the pharmacy regarding the changes, leaving me without my prescription. When I finally got hold of him, he told me to find another doctor and "make his day". After this he once again prescribed me the incorrect dosage of Losartan. This guy is a joke and should not be allowed to practice. read more

Instead of spending July 4th with the 15 people coming to my home for a BBQ, I spent it with Dr. Raj Singh. It wasn't what I'd had planned, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life, mostly because it saved my life without my ever feeling sick or frightened. That was part of the problem: I never really felt unwell, so I had no idea of the danger I was in. The very mild indigestion I thought I'd been managing rather well for 10 days turned out to be a tiny little heart attack euphemistically referred to as Acute Coronary Syndrome...the result of a 99% blockage of my right coronary artery. I was having the perfect example of a woman's silent heart attack. Once blood tests showed that I was having a heart and not a gastric issue, I followed my primary doc's orders to get myself into the hospital, where I found myself in the care of this smart, skilled man with great hands and a fine sense of humor. He immediately put me at ease, talked to me like an intelligent adult, and made me part of the decision-making process. He took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions, and he made me feel that I was safe without making me feel that I was helpless. He projects a mix competence, confidence, and compassion without any of the ego or aloofness often associated with medical specialists. The angiogram/angioplasy procedure was a piece of cake; Dr. Singh and his team are terrific. The degree of conscious sedation was perfect for me and I was able to ask questions and see the film of my heart and blood vessels as they looked pre- and post-stent ..very cool! I've since learned that the speed with which this team can get a patient experiencing a severe hear attack from the front door of the hospital through to the end of a life-saving angioplasty is one of the shortest times of any team or hospital on record. Every person I've spoken to who knows Dr. Singh, both in the hospital and out in the regular world, has had nothing but the highest praise for him as both a doctor and a person, and I can now add my voice to the chorus. It takes more than technical skill to make a great doctor. My follow-up care has been exemplary and he takes the time to ask not only how I'm feeling, but what I've been doing; he's genuinely interested in his patients. Dr Singh has been our family cardiologist for over 20 years. I believe he greatly improved my mother's quality of life, and that she had a longer life because of him. I have complete confidence in him, and trust him without question. For such an outstanding doctor, it baffles me that he's always had below average office staff (NOT the PA), but the desk people. Dr. Singh is amazing! He takes the time to really research each individuals situation. He is so smart, very thorough. I am a nurse and he has been my Doctor for over 30 years. My coworkers think he's the best too. He's who most of the nurses I know want to go to. He has a very wonderful way of being soft spoken and empathetic. He does not SCARE you! He doesn't judge you based on weight or how you have chosen to take care of yourself or not. But he will point you in the right direction as tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.
