Pleasant little antique centre, mainly concentrating on furniture, a bit of the expensive side but worth a look.

Special kids menu was limited to soup/sandwich but that was all they needed. Adult Soup & Sandwich deal was great to, came beautifully presented with a small salad, crisps and plenty of crusty bread. Goats cheese puff pastry tart with beetroot salad looked lovely too. Great coffees. The huge attached Antiques Centre is like an indoor market (in the nicest sense!) with various antique shops/collectors having rented their own area/display, on the plus side it's great to browse, on the minus a bit of a dust was in order for some 'shops' my sinuses & my mum's asthma definately started to bother us after a while! There's also a small food hall selling local specialities as well as a 'new' area selling kitchenware, clothes, jewellery, garden equipment etc Admittedly the 'new' shops will probably have stuff you can get elsewhere, but the Antiques area will be heaven for collectors/hoarders ;)

Where I managed to locate cream soda cordial (delicious) I like playing picks here. e.g if money was no obligation, what would I have? Today was diamond earrings and a colonial style dinning table and 12 chairs that I would of course need a new dinning room to hold! Ah I am such a day dreamer, but lots of fun. It is 1 mile off the main road between Perth & Dundee and it is well worth a look. There is a second shop at Doune (near Callendar)

It's such a shame for a small village to have hardly any facilities available to passing trade our group was glad to see this place, that has one side that is used as an antique shop and the other for a tea room. The cafe has not got a hot food licence so can only offer sandwiches and a bowl of soup if you are lucky, we where at least able to get a good cup of tea and something to eat to recharge our batteries. My friend had a sandwich with the only choice available being cheese and tomato, but there is a good selection of home baking on display. The lady that served us was nice and chatty, that made our visit a pleasant experience.

Not only did the owners stay open a little later for us they also allowed us to bring in our wee dog and we were then treated to an assortment of homemade soup, freshly baked cakes and teas and coffees all at a very reasonable price. The two ladies running the shop are just lovely - really friendly and chatty added to the whole experience and you are surrounded by beautiful, ornate vintage homeware and oddities. It's like a step back in time this little gem of a place where your tea is served in beautiful china tea cups and saucers in a homely enviroment. Definitely worth stopping in if you are passing through / in the area.

A huge part of me loves the mystery of something pre-loved. - And the SAAC definitely got this part of me giddy. Seriously. This is legitimately a vintage clothing, music, jewellery, glass, furniture, EVERYTHING shop. The place is HUGE. And they have a cafe and gift shop. You could really lose track of time, and even then, you'd feel like there was more to see. I didn't want to miss anything, and I've already planned my next visit, alongside a list of folks who I know will love it as much as I do. Price-wise, yes, antiques can be expensive business but if you're planning to buy a gift for someone special, then you could most definitely stay within budget. The jewellery section was absolutely stunning with an amazing amount of choice and a variety of prices too. Equally so, if you're looking for something really really special and prepared to spend that bit more, you won't be stuck for choice here. - There are just so many beautiful things I felt free to wander and, whilst staff walked around the centre and CCTV was in operation, it wasn't intrusive and it didn't make me feel uncomfortable. You could visit just for the sake of visiting and make a real day of it, and even go to the cafe afterwards. - Something I've a feeling I'll want to do again and again and again.

Ooooooh - a treasure trove !…read more Whether you're looking for something in particular or just fancy a dig around in some antiques, SAAC is a great place. They do furniture, books, paintings, jewellery, clothes, old toys, coins, postcards - heck, just about anything! And when you're done there's a wee coffee shop there too. Brilliant for a rainy day or for hunting down that prize chesterfield furniture.
