This vet practice couldn't be any better for me. I breed and show Champion Brussels Griffons; Dr. Glicker and the staff know they are all my "kids" and they is wonderful to both the dogs, my husband, and myself. The staff is polite and friendly and everyone bends over backwards there to accommodate you. The office is very clean and neat; you can see the staff is totally dedicated to the animals. I have been going to this veterinary establishment for over 8 years after my Vet of 35 years retired. There is ONE receptionist who has been there since the prior owner who needs a total personality overall and has been unreasonable on many occasions. She is cold, not sociable and has made a havoc out if appointments for me and basic requests that have stressed me and put my animals health at risk multiple times. If you can't smile, can't remember the same clients (humans and animals) for the last eight years, don't interact with any of the clients in a compassionate or even helpful manner, and then are rigid on policies that don't reflect well on the practice, your in the wrong business. I'm only giving this place two stars now because I love Dr. KELLY, Dr Sholan did right by all my animals, and the back office staff was always nice. Its enough where I am looking elsewhere for a vet. Update- I met with the owner Dr. PANTE and she herself was upset by what happened. I can see she is a reasonable vet and owner. Yet, when clients are dealing with staff making unreasonable decisions (incident with a medication refill over a year ago with the same person when I had all the updated paperwork and she would not give me a refill without new testing and insisted I coming all the way into an office over an hr. away when testing for this med is done once a year- my dogs testing was 8 months prior and she had the records- i overlooked that and got the meds elsewhere btw), you are dealing with an individual who is making decisions above their paygrade, which is dangerous. There was NO consulting any vet technician or veterinarian, in this case. Again, I can overlook personality, but when you are putting the health of my animals at risk, thats unacceptable. Dr. Pante and her staff are wonderful. We travel a distance to see her and it's worth it every time. She is compassionate and honest, and has always given us the best guidance for our pets. Her approach is always reasonable. She makes it a point to truly know her clients, both owners and patients. The practice offers a very personal touch which we greatly appreciate. Brought my rescue dogs to them for years. Called for emergency during working hours early in morning and was denied an appointment wouldn't even ask my name after I pleaded w them to pls see him his eye was cloudy after getting hit w a hard ball. Barnside Vet in Howell room us immediately without being their patient in past. While the wait here was very long (I waited an hour), the ladies at the front desk were apologetic and friendly the entire time. I understand things happen, but it was a bit of an annoyance, especially with a cat that doesn't really leave the house. Stressed fur shedding everywhereeee. After we entered the examining room though, the doctor was very efficient and friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly. I like that she had many opportunities to push procedures but instead gave her honest opinion on what would be the best course of action. Will definitely come again, especially since it's so close to home, just hope there's less of a wait next time! read more

We've been bringing our dogs here for years and appreciate the excellent work of Dr. Schoelen and his crew. Last year we adopted a three year old mixed breed rescue dog recovering from heartworm. I like that Dr. Schoelen gives you practical advice on caring for your dog without having you purchase a bunch of stuff you don't really need while making sure your pet gets what he does need. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS hospital.. after a month of taking my childhood dog there and getting unanswered results we had to put him down as per instructions from another hospital. Raintree Veterinary Hospital left my family with undetermined and unanswered questions of what was wrong with our dog... MY parents contacted them numerous times after appointments and visits to advise nothing had changed with him and to ask what their next steps were. They NEVER CONTACTED THEM BACK once to follow up.. after my parents called them for 2 weeks straight.. They only since reached out once I wrote a review on their website of how negative our experience was.. SUSPICIOUS if you ask me.. It is fine if you do not know what the cure is but do not act like you did all you could to help a restless and in pain animal when clearly you could not pick up the phone to contact the owners back.. I found this vet when buying my friends of animals neuter voucher for my rescue dog since my normal vet doesn't accept the voucher. I was SO happy with this place that I am going to switch over to them. Dr. Schoelen was so amazing with my dog (who has aggression issues with strangers/other dogs) and he instantly warmed up to him. I get so nervous taking him to places where other dogs are and the staff was so kind and patient and strategically placed us in the waiting room where he didn't feel threatened and was able to calm down. Dr. Schoelen did his surgery and even though he was supposed to rest, he was back to his normal puppy self and running around within an hour or two of being home. The incision was very clean and healed perfectly. Thank you SO much to everyone at Raintree vet!!! read more

We recently went to see Dr. Schoelen to get our foster dog spayed. The office is clean, the staff was friendly and very understanding as my dog was a little nervous. Dr. Schoelen has very good bedside manner, I trust his clinical decisions and answered all our questions. We felt very comfortable with him taking care of our pup & it was easy to communicate with the office staff when we had concerns after the surgery. read more

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible service. Checked in for 3pm appointment staff took my name when I walked in at 2:55 and I sit down. 4:00 I finally ask why I would not be told that the doctor was running behind. Staff says your appointment was 3:45. I said it was 3:00 and showed her the email confirmation. No apology just said it's a new system. Maybe confirm the appointment when she checked me in, ie. we have your u in for 3:45??? Come on people hire responsible educated staff. Collected records and will find another vet. read more

A very caring and practice. Always able to get a prompt appointment as needed Dr Scholen has always properly diagnosed any issues with both my dogs. My dog trixie has separation anxiety and he was able to pull her tooth with her only being away from home for two hours! amaZing! read more

We scheduled Brody for a dental cleaning over a month ago. When I brought him in this morning at 8:15, I opted to get the pre-op bloodwork done. The tech tells me it will take about 10-15 minutes to do the bloodwork and that they would call me. Nearly 3 hours go by, and I decide to call to see when I could expect the bloodwork results to come in. The nasty woman who answered the phone said she didn't even know if it was done and didn't know when the doctor would be in. I asked her if the doctor isn't in yet, who is performing the dental? And again, with an attitude, she said well the doctor is but she didn't know when he would get there. I get off the phone and decide to call back 10 minutes later to tell them I would be picking Brody up because I had no reason to leave him there for hours, crated for no reason. I go and get him and all of a sudden the story changed. The doctor magically appeared and apparently the bloodwork had been done (or so they say). So they take 5 minutes to bring my dog to me (I was literally the only one there) and ask if I would like to pay for the bloodwork. I told them absolutely not. They seemed to think it was ok to not communicate anything about the procedure to me until I arrived, visibly shaking. This is when they inform me that he needed to be there early so that they could prevent me from giving him food and to give him IV fluids. Isn't that something that should be explained at drop off? Maybe I'm ignorant, as I've never gotten this done for him. At that point, my trust to leave my dog there is gone, especially with the nasty woman still giving me an attitude without me coming at them any sort of way. Keep in mind, this bloodwork and procedure is not cheap. All in, which I agreed to from the beginning, would be almost $800. For Brody, we would do anything. However, when people who are supposed to be caring for him lack the courtesy of communicating anything, I cannot fathom leaving him there for ten hours. It is absolutely ridiculous that they thought this was acceptable, regardless of how minor this surgery is. For all I know, they put a bandage on him while I was waiting for them to bring him from the back and didn't even do the bloodwork. read more

Will never use this Vet again I brought my 2 year old Pit bull for a checkup about a year ago, she had an appointment with a Male, but I can't remember his name. (Guy in picture) To cut to the chase he had his own dog there which also happened to be a pit bull mixed with another breed maybe , but I didn't know this until he left the room and came back with him without asking me first to then say as he is in the room with the dog he wants to see how he will be with a female to see if he can have him breed; took a few seconds to realize this dog shouldn't be anywhere near my dog while his dog is viciously growling and trying to bite my dog in a room 2x4. Thankfully he didn't, but my dog was shook. My dog and I were literally forced to go in the corner to try to stay away. He had to yell for his employees up front to come back and help him get his dog out. Very unprofessional. I'll never forget this. My dog just wanted to run out of there once we got out of the room. read more

I am new to the Raintree Vet family. I have to say my first visit was extremely emotional being that my 150lb "big baby" Rottweiler Caesar was under a lot of distress and in a lot of pain. Even with his calm and friendly demeanor, as his mommy, it broke my heart to learn he had a broken leg. My sons and I had already been to 3 vets in two days and I was recommended from all three to see an orthopedic veterinarian. Luckily my good friend Carly works for Dr. Schoelen at Raintree who happens to be an otrtho Dr. Unfortunately with a dog Caesars size and strength there was only one reason why he would have a broken leg from regular active play, it was BONE CANCER. Dr Schoelen explained in detail with great sympathy what all entailed for any avenue of options we had. We decided the only humane thing to do was put this big beautiful kind loving animal down and out of misery for the worst was only to come. This was truly one of the hardest things i as a mother had to do but I am forever grateful I had the whole Raintree staff there with me and my sons to guide us through and be there with us and for Caesar to put him out of such pain. DR. SCHOELEN, CARLY, ASHLEY and the whole staff were so kind, caring and professional during this whole traumatic event. Since then I have only used Raintree from my other animals and recommend them to everyone and anyone in need of a good vet for their loved furry family members. read more

The people at the front desk is friendly, but the doctor wasn't listening to our opinion. We asked for 1 X-ray, but he took 2. We even let the staff know we wanted 1 X-ray. They charged us for 2 X-rays. He said that we could not tell if they were 2 puppies from a side angle, so he said he took the back angle cause he said you can see the pups better that way. He must've known that the back X-ray would've been better. Very un-pleased. Not coming back here again. They didn't even print the pictures out for us. read more

Our Guinea pig saw both Dr. Schoellen and Dr. Glicker for a wound in his eye, and both took the time to see how they could help him. They were very kind and patient, even for such a small animal! They have us as clients, now! read more

If there was an option to give Raintree zero stars I would have done so. We went there today with our rescue dog who was given a free spay certificate for us rescuing her. (or we would have been at our usual vet who we love) All but one staff member was absolutely miserable! They took us 40 minutes late and no one was even in the office. When Dr Glicker made me leave the room because our dog was so upset, it made me second guess our visit. She couldn't control a 34 lb puppy and was quite upset and said she "needs socialization and her being afraid isn't normal". Our puppy is very socialized and is so well behaved. When I heard my puppy yelping for me, I promptly entered the room again and she was calm in 2 seconds flat. I should add the technician was being very sweet to her. No vet should ever ask the owners to leave the room or get annoyed with a puppy for being nervous in a new place. Shame on you! I will never step foot back in this facility. read more

Where do I start?! If I could give 0 stars, I would. When we went to Raintree Vet a few weeks ago as (per the rescue that we adopted our puppy from- the spay cost was included in the adoption fee) Raintree vet told us xyz vaccinations that our puppy Layla needed to have before the spay. So, our regular vet in TR did all of them - distemper, rabies.. and I brought her in today for the spay. The office tech this morning asked me if our rescue covers everything with the spay - never said the word "rabies". She only asked if I want to pay extra for the cold laser therapy - I said yes. My fiancé and I go to pick her up after and the girl says $69 - we ask what for and she said the "rabies shot". My fiancé immediately said that she already has her rabies shot she EVEN HAS A TAG ON that says so! And they sit there and bicker back and forth, blame the morning office girls.. blame ME and call the morning girl who said she had a conversation specifically about the rabies. I'm like um no she didn't! Still not believing me they said there's nothing that they can do - and the shot itself was only $20- her meds and laser was the additional. OK. We don't care about the cost but now she was given TWO rabies shots in a matter of a few weeks because of their multiple mistakes and miscommunication. This other woman then gets involved - she was so unprofessional, rude and short with us. I said "Who are YOU" and she said the vet, I was speechless.. Dr. Glicker should not be running her own business with that attitude. All we wanted to do at that point was make sure Layla would be ok - she was then screaming down the hallway and even said she was getting ready to leave for the day. We said let's just go, not worth it and we don't ever have to come back here! .. now we're home and the rabies was actually $30 not $20, more b.s. from them. Lastly, they didn't once apologize - they only cared that we paid them the $69. read more
