All of the teachers and staff members of LMS had been always so pleasant and upbeat. They created a really positive, enriched learning environment for the kids. They took such wonderful care of our son and truly had a passion for what they do. The curriculum was very carefully considered and varied week-to-week. I also have to give a shout-out to Ms. Amanda and Ms. Sophie in the Hummingbird room. They helped me through some of his more difficult times with toilet training and drop-off anxiety, as well as the 'terrible two' stages. Our son had been learning by leaps and bounds thanks to his awesome teachers! Furthermore, the managerial staff of LMS, Ms. Purviz and Ms. Sonja, helped ease my mind and were always there to give advice when I needed it. I always felt very comfortable talking to them about anything that comes to mind, and they are attentive to our feedback as well. I highly recommend LMS!

The owners and teachers are very loving and consistent with the children. On several occasions, if one of the girls was sad or upset about leaving mom (me) to be at school, a teacher would offer to snuggle or sit with them until they felt better. My kids have become deeply attached to their daytime and afternoon teachers over the past year, and it's been a relief that turnover has been very low in my experience. I also appreciate the kindness and understanding I've received as a parent from all of the staff members--which has not always been my experience at other schools. Academically, I'm very impressed. My older daughter is in the elementary classroom, which is a range of children from K-3rd grade. She would be in kindergarten in public school, but she's consistently bringing home 1-2nd grade worksheets that she has finished with flying colors! She was just beginning to sound out words when she started, and now she is working on reading basic chapter books. She's also learned to add and subtract fractions, understands the scientific process, and has a solid grasp on the geography of the United States and the continents of the world. My younger daughter is officially in their preschool program, but she has also learned to read and is working on kindergarten-level math skills. The elementary program offers a long list of field trips and special events in the classroom, such as their holiday parties, Christmas program, "coffee house poetry cafe" event, and more. These schools may look pretty ordinary from the outside, but the amount of love and care that goes into the curriculum and the students is amazing.

My kids were always in good hands here and the curriculum was above par. My kids were taught to think, not memorize and their concepts of the Montessori math have given them such an advantage in their current public school. They learned about maps, diversity, science and they loved every minute of it. When one of my kids felt a lack of confidence Mrs Debbie stepped in personally to help him find his learning style. She discovered with him that he really enjoyed putting together books and his confidence sky rocketed. We miss this place, very fond memories.

We've had a truly wonderful experience at Clay-Platte Montessori School over the past two years…read more From our very first tour with Lishchkaya (who became Head of School shortly after we started), we felt welcomed and seen. We were drawn to Montessori principles, but what really impressed us was seeing how beautifully those ideas are lived out in the classrooms. Our son was in a Primary classroom with Mark as the lead guide, and we watched him grow so much in his independence, confidence, and curiosity. The teachers and staff are top-notch: patient, caring, and incredibly intentional in how they observe and support each child's development. The access to nature has also been a huge highlight. Whether it's exploring the creek or building outside, our child came home full of stories and wonder from his outdoor experiences. And beyond just academics, he learned real, practical life skills (things like how to care for his space, solve problems, and take initiative), which we know will serve him well long after he's left the classroom. One of the things we appreciated most was how well they got to know our child and us. It's a place where relationships matter, where each child is respected as an individual, and where learning is joyful and meaningful. We couldn't have asked for a better foundation for our son's early education, and we're so grateful to have been part of the CPMS community.

I spent five hours observing here, four of those being in the Orange Room with Julia. One day I was observing for quality of childcare. The room was cozy and inviting, with everything accessible to the learners. What I enjoyed most was that students were very confident while interacting with the classroom. Julia is wonderful while interacting with the students. She is firm, but kind with her redirections. The way she speaks to the children is very gentle, and helps the students solve conflict together. She is bilingual, and speaks Russian in her classroom frequently. This is a unique opportunity for the students, and my own son (4 years old), who is in her room, has come home saying Russian words. I also look for how the children's work relates to child development, and am impressed at the level the children achieve at such a young age! We are so thankful to have Julia as his teacher. She has built a very strong classroom community that my son feels like he is apart of. He is learning so much and loves going to school everyday. Tiffany is the assistant in the room, and she is also wonderful. My son thinks she is so funny! We also love the Sunrise Room and Green Room! Jen and Damiana are also excellent guides. My 2 year old is with Damiana, and she talks about her constantly and is always ready to go to school to go see her. My 6 year old in Green Room is learning so quickly and works so hard. His teacher says the most kind things about him. I was looking for an alternative to public school for my 6 year old, but wanted to keep all 3 kids together, and I am so fortunate to have found that in Clay-Platte. All 3 of my children that attend are happy, thriving, and learning more than I ever could have imagined.

From the very first week, I have been consistently impressed by the nurturing and stimulating environment that the daycare offers. The staff at the Montessori daycare are nothing short of exceptional. Their dedication to each child's growth and development is evident in every interaction. They create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes every child feel special and valued. It's clear that the educators are passionate about their work and genuinely care for the children. It's truly heartwarming to see the bond they build with each child, fostering a sense of trust and security. One of the standout features of this Montessori daycare is its commitment to fostering independence and curiosity in children. ICM provides a lot of hands-on activities. It was wonderful to see my child so engaged and enthusiastic about learning every day and seeing the updates through brightwhell. The summer program has themed days which was so fun for my little one to look at the calendar and get excited (water days, field trips, ice cream trucks, etc). The communication from the daycare is excellent. I appreciate the regular updates and the open lines of communication between the staff and parents. It's reassuring to know that I can always reach out with any questions or concerns and receive prompt and thoughtful responses. They pay close attention to the children's behavior and actually noticed and brought to my attention that my child may need behavioral therapy, which she is in and has thrived. Overall, I couldn't be happier with our experience at the Montessori daycare. It has provided a strong foundation for my child's education and development, and I am incredibly grateful for the positive and enriching environment they gave my daughter. I wholeheartedly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a nurturing, stimulating, and caring place for their child. Thank you for all that you do!

Hi parents! We just…read moremoved to Parkville and prior to purchasing our home, we were on the hunt for a new provider for our 4 year old. Our kiddo is the youngest of two, so we have been through many daycares and providers in our time. To put a fine point on it, Wildflower is far and away the best provider we have found in our roughly 9 years of using multiple providers (and touring many more!) we were looking for something that takes the best of Montessori, but isn't so stuck in the Montessori world that kids aren't being taught to excel later in a more traditional education environment. Our son had attended a strict Montessori school prior and he tells us almost every day how much he *loves* school. They provide so many fun experiences to mix things up, aerial yoga, the KC zoo, the KC chiefs, and field trips to the bank and grocery stores--and all of that in just the last couple of months. Our son *adores* his teacher, and the environment does feel very much like a family. One that we're happy to be a part of. (I will note that I was not prompted to do a review, nor was I compensated in any way).

Even with the increased/full enrollment, the director and teachers are still focused on the children's well-being and able to provide a safe, fun and engaging place to learn and play. As a parent, I feel like there is open communication between my family, the director and my child's teachers. I understand that their wait list is extensive but I encourage any new families to still consider touring for future enrollment...it's worth the wait!
