Rainforest Clinic
Lynne S.

Another successful visit to see De Clubb and her skilled staff. My visits always include toy selection and purchase as well as a relaxing patio stop. I travel about 1 hour each way for these visits but many folks travel 4 and 4 hours to have Dr Clubb's expertise. Today's other client was the long distance winner - she drove in from Atlanta with her 2 cockatiels!! This is the view of the clinic from my parked car. It is always a treat to see this little paradise.

Clubb also saved our beloved pet duck who came down with a fairly rare and deadly fungus, aspergillosis.

I guarantee you they will kill your pet. The reviews here are true…read more ACCESS failed my pet and they will fail yours too. My cat had CKD and was treated very well at VEG. Then I took her to Access for additional care as a primary and they were difficult. Her values worsted at ACCESS. They inserted a feeding tube in her and when I slowly became aware of their unhygienic practices (caged pets, urine in blankets unchanged for 2-3 days, food in water bowl, difficult front desk staff) I immediately wrote a negative review for people out there. They immediately shut off all care for my cat including all prescription medications as a way to punish my cat to send a strong response to my negative review. They delayed releasing medical records so no other emergency vet could immediately treat her and no primary could prescribe her medications in time. She was in critical condition when they abruptly cut of service. They left me without feeding syringe to take home and give food through the tube. I had to go to an emergency to get tubes and meds. I contacted many hospitals across Florida and they were not shocked about Access as they are aware of them being difficult. Her condition got worse and so I took her back to VEG and they ran blood work. Turns out my cat had astronomically high values for white blood cells and very low platelets. Access did not run the full blood work to catch any of this. She got internal bleeding and sever infection from being at Access cages and overall poor / unsanitary conditions. Her blood work was never done to catch any of this. They only ran 2-3 values while ignoring full comprehensive care. Her blood work looked great on the 26th of April when she left VEG and just within a month of care at Access she was as good as gone. Plateles so low that additional testing at other clinics would put her at risk for more clots and bleeding. I assure you that no care is better care than Access. they should take down the notices regarding their core value of minimizing the pet and owner…read moreanxiety they have in each exam room. we were referred to this hospital from our normal veterinarian as our cat has been experiencing poor balance and a constant head tilt. he has had on again off again ear infections, common for longhaired cats. the hospital advised he likely has a neurological infection that spread originally from his ear infection. the hospital performed an MRI to confirm it wasnt a tumor, and then a spinal tap/ear tap procedure to extract some of the bacteria to create a culture to make a specific antibiotic for him. ended up being $6,000.00. the day we picked our cat up from the hospital, we were generally rushed and not really warned at all on what symptoms to expect during his recovery period, or what to look out for. our cat did not eat, drink, sleep, or use the litter box for almost 4 days, then started developing flu-like symptoms. during the first week we called several times leaving notes requesting the vet to call back to confirm if the symptoms our cat was experiencing were to be expected, or if it was something we needed to bring him in on. we just dropped a very large amount of money on our cat and didn't want to bring him in to be charged if the symptoms were actually normal. which is why a heads up would of helped on what symptoms to expect/look out for when we originally picked him up would of been nice. after about a week and a half the veterinarian finally called back to advise the culture they were trying to use to make an antibiotic failed. which i understand happens, but is especially frustrating when we paid the high end price for these procedures and made our cat suffer just to be on generic antibiotics. we told the vet over the phone that he would need a refil on his generic antibiotics soon (since that is the only option for our cat now anyway)--only to find out the vet did not put in the refill order at the pharmacy. now our cat does not have his medication and we are again playing the waiting game on a call back.

Dr. Salvo is hands-down the best veterinarian we've ever had…read more We drive a long distance--past plenty of other vets--because we only trust her with our 8-year-old boxer, Maya. Finding Dr. Salvo was a turning point for us--and we actually have our daughter to thank. She discovered Dr. Salvo first and now brings her own dog, Luna (a beautiful brindle mix), for care as well. This is a family-level endorsement. Unlike other clinics where you feel rushed or pressured, Dr. Salvo schedules ample time for each visit and only sees one dog at a time. It makes a huge difference. She gives you her full attention, answers every question, and never makes you feel like just another appointment on the calendar. When other vets tried to shame us for not doing knee surgery on our girl, Dr. Salvo did the opposite. She walked us through all the options with empathy and clarity. We had already tried a brace--before we ever saw Dr. Salvo for the first time--and while it helped a lot, Maya still couldn't sit properly. Eventually, we invested in the Hero brace (the one Dr. Salvo originally recommended), and it made all the difference. We 100% recommend it. Along with the new brace, the targeted exercises and medication she prescribed really worked. Maya is finally sitting and moving with much more comfort and confidence. Dr. Salvo also trusts us to do our own injections at home, which saves time and stress--especially since I already do injections myself. That level of respect and partnership is rare. Her clinic is clean, calm, and has a cozy waiting room, though we usually just relax outside before the visit. Whether it's your first dog or your lifelong companion, you'll feel the difference immediately. Dr. Salvo, thank you for your compassion, your wisdom, and the heart you bring to your work. You've made such a difference in our lives--and in Maya's. We're so grateful for you and lucky to have you as part of this community.

Everything could improve! These are the most incompetant people. They lie, they kill animals…read more Refer to Joey's Legacy on Facebook. They killed our beautiful Italian Greyhound Romeo. Dr Yanguas and her staff are not qualified to treat animals. Read the horror stories!!! Our dog went in spent, playful and happy. He went to have a benign fatty tumor removed. He died on the table due to her incompetence and they all lied and covered it up. It was confirmed to me by someone that used to work there. They are disgusting and you would do your loving furry family member a real disservice to take them there. My family and I will never get over it. We had the most special boy in the world. He didn't deserve to die that way. They sicken me!! I wish for them what they did to him!

We had one dog with knee issues and he has had surgery on both knees (prior to moving to Loxahatchee). The doctor was amazing from the moment we met her. She was so caring and her energy was amazing. The staff has learned who we are because since we moved here, we rescued another dog and now bring both of them here. When I call, I am almost always connected with Vanessa who recognizes me right away. We are always able to get an appt shortly thereafter. The dog with knee issues unfortunately began to limp again on the first knee he had surgery on. We let the doctor know and she evaluated him. She advised that he see a specialist that goes to their office. We waited for that specialist to evaluate our dog and his X-ray and he said the dog needed another surgery. The orthopedic surgeon was amazing! By far the best orthopedic surgeon (out of the three total that have worked on my dogs knees). After the surgery, the vet and her staff took care of him and he was in such good hands! We got to bring him home one day later and we took him back for a follow up several days later. He has recovered so well! I believe this was the hardest surgery (since it was a botched job that was previously done) and it was the one he recovered the best from! We come here for our dogs annual vaccines, heart worm injections, and any issue or concern we have in general. We are so grateful we stumbled across this vet. Thank you for everything you guys do!
