We moved to Florida a year ago. We tried different vet with my older dog and were not impressed. When we got a new puppy 6 months ago, I did a lot of homework and came here. While it is a 45 minute drive from where I live, it is well worth it. I had the exact opposite experience of the ONLY bad review against this business. When spaying my puppy, Dr Raposo thoughtfully checked her teeth and extracted two impacted teeth without charging an additional dime because he did not want my puppy to have to potentially go under anesthesia again. That is incredible customer service! I can't say enough great things about this place. The staff are all wonderful. Appointments are easy and they store your payment preference and email you a receipt so you don't even need to bring a purse or wallet in with you. Thrilled with my vet choice for Gemma Blu.

She's dead. they killed my dog. Do not go here. Ever. Ever. Ever. Update: Dr abott wrote a reply to this and then deleted it. I'm not sure why. But It made me want to elaborate a little bit more. I just want to add that by the time I got her to emergency care we did the surgery for 7,000 dollars. The dog did not recover and I had to manually express her bladder and she was shitting on herself. She was 5 years old. She would stare at me blankly in her pen. She was a shell and absolutely depressed. When I brought her in about a month after the surgery the vet tech and temporary vet who helped me euthanize my baby were making jokes and giggling that her tongue was hanging out from the euthanasia drugs. While I held her and cried. It was so surreally terrible. IT was unbelievable, so much so That i couldnt bring myself to even write a review because I was devastated. About a week or two i heard Dr. Abbott returned from her trip out of state and I spoke to her on the phone - I just explained what happened and cried. There was nothing anyone could do. This is the fault of her STAFF. and THE TEMPORARY VETS (Roo Relief?) Dr Abbott was not present during this. I do think it would have gone a lot differently if she was however, it is still her responsibility to train her staff for emergency situations and not completely rely on some dimwit temp vet from who knows where. I still think about this. Nearly every day. It was so fucking messed up.

Having trusted both veterinarians with the health of our pets, we can say with complete confidence that they are exceptional doctors. What truly sets this practice apart is that the compassion doesn't end when the appointment is over. Dr. Patterson has consistently called after visits--and even between appointments--to check on Rocky, answer questions, and see how he was progressing. The front office team has been just as remarkable, frequently calling to check on Rocky and making sure we had everything we needed. That level of personal care is incredibly rare. Every member of the staff has treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion. During one of the most stressful times of our lives as pet owners, they made us feel supported, informed, and never alone. If you're looking for a veterinary practice that combines outstanding medical care with people who truly care about both pets and their families, we recommend Mindful Veterinary Care without hesitation. I had one of the most heartbreaking and traumatic experiences yesterday at the Animal Healthcare…read moreCenter in Woodwalks Plaza. It was, without a doubt, one of the hardest days of my life. My 18 year old dog had to be put down, and the whole process was made infinitely worse by the cold and distant attitude of the veterinarian Dr. Dew. When we arrived, my dog was peacefully sleeping, but the doctor chose to wake him up, which felt unnecessarily harsh, almost as if to confirm we weren't lying about his condition. From that moment on, he was in agony, moaning and crying throughout the procedure. What made it worse was that no one offered him any kind of anxiety medication or calming treatment, even though it was obvious he was distressed. He went from crying to lifeless in my arms, and the whole thing felt horrifying. I thought I was mentally prepared for this experience. But the reality of it was far worse than I ever could have anticipated. I can't help but feel like I betrayed my dog and that he suffered because I didn't advocate harder for his comfort. If I had known how much he would struggle, I would have gladly paid extra for any sedative or calming aid to make it easier for him. I truly hope he can forgive me, but I can't shake the feeling that I failed him in his final moments. This experience was not what I imagined it would be, and I just want to warn others to make sure they advocate for their pets' comfort, even if it means pushing for additional care.

I've been going to this vet for several years with multiple animals and I've always felt that this…read moreplace was only interested in my money. Stacy always presented a negative picture to me of what could happen if I don't do the recommended procedures and made me feel guilty if I didn't do what she recommended. For example, "Many of our patients have their animals' dental cleanings done every year. Her jaw could shatter at any time." Because we had already taken our animals there, we were hesitant to switch because we couldn't get into the vets that were recommended because they were too busy. So, we chose the procedures that made sense for our animals and our budget. Six months ago, after having extensive tests done on my 15-year-old cat, because he had a seizure, she told me that he had congestive heart failure and could die at any time. I was shocked and devastated. We were already dealing with the extra costs and work for our ailing 17-year-old dog (we transitioned to another vet for her). Stacy prescribed 3 sets of medication for my cat that were very expensive. One of the pills was ($100) and larger than a human would take, and he just wouldn't eat anything with medication in it (even broken up). We tried everything. He began avoiding us and stopped eating because he felt that his food contained meds and we decided that we couldn't continue trying to give him the meds. We discussed it with the vet, asking if it would help if we (at least) could give the smaller ones. They wouldn't give us a straight answer and just said, "Good luck." Six months later, he is alive and doing ok but developed some congestion. Two weeks ago, we started trying to give him the pills and were most successful with the furosemide (the smallest one). He recovered. Today, I tried to get those renewed but the vet refused saying that it is recommended, after 6 months, that he get all the tests again (~$1000.00 and sedation). I told her that we only recently (two weeks) started trying to give him the pills again and that we were not putting him through that as we wanted him to live the last few weeks of his life without needles, sedation, etc., at the vet. The cost and torture to him didn't make sense to us after only being able to give some of the pills for 2 weeks. We did not need refills for the others because we are not as successful in giving them. We know he doesn't have much time left and are hoping we have several more weeks. They refused to renew the medication and kept saying, like a broken record, "It is recommended, after 6 months...". They didn't care. We are never going back.
