We were desperate to find a small animal vet for our ailing Guinea pig, dr Armstrong was patient, fair and kind. The office was accommodating and wonderful. I found my new vet, this is an amazing office and I've tried many of them around south Florida. Where do I begin? Dr.Armstrong used to be a good doctor many years ago,but now a day's not so good! The staff is also awful,my 13 year old cat died a few months ago due to Dr.Armstrongs negligence,and I will never forgive myself for believing in them! My name is Eddie, I brought my dog to Mr Armstrong and he diagnosed the dog with heart condition and lung respiratory problem. He did X-ray and gave me some medication. For almost a month I use the medication as prescribed but the dog doesn't feel better. Unfortunately, He got worst so me my family decided to put our dog to sleep and took two weeks of sadness for this conclusion to come together. I set an appointment to euthanize our dog brought him there and he said that he don't feel comfortable to do it. I told him the dog is suffering and he ask me how do I know , maybe by looking how hard is for him to breathe and how fast his heart is beating and his behavior. What I think is, he want making money off the dog that is suffering . I brought our dog home and he is on the side of my bed laying down since this morning no eating , no moving and it is very sad. I hope Mr Armstrong retire he don't like animals he just want $$$$$. read more

I brought all my dogs to Best Vet and I'm glad to say they have always been the most healthiest. Maybe this makes Dr Armstrong's an easy job. But anyway, I have a lot of faith with Dr Armstrong. He's always given top-notch veterinary input. read more

New to Dr. Armstrong's office. The office staff was very friendly yet professional. My first visit with a new kitten and a sick older dog was nothing but, positive. I was happy to find a right to the point Dr. that was very knowledgeable and treated what he saw and ran a few tests. Not thousands of dollars of testing before treating. I have brought my cats to Dr Armstrong for 11 years. He cared for my Emma who was a rescue . He and his staff were amazing with her. She was a white cat and had issues. We worked through all of them. Sadly she passed after 9 years of loving care. I would not have had that time with her if it wasn't for Dr. Armstrong. read more

I did not enjoy my visit one bit. Overall, I felt like they did not care about my dog or providing a good customer experience. It was my first time there. I was looking for a primary vet for my dog and was highly disappointed. Lazy coronavirus protocols. Some staff had terrible attitudes. You can tell they overbooked and were very unorganized. Here are some more details... My dog recently got into a tussle with a raccoon and had to be taken to an emergency vet in the middle of the night. The emergency vet was amazing and set me up to have high expectations. They recommended a rabies booster, which leads me to my visit with Dr. Armstrong. We made an appointment by phone. The first person I talked to was very pushy and didn't bother asking why were were coming in; I asked if I can explain what happened to my dog and wanted to make sure he would get what he needs and how much it would cost. At which point, they put me on the phone with a very nice and helpful woman. When I arrived, I called to check in. They asked me to sign in at the door and go back to wait in my car. I waited for a call for 25 minutes after my appointment, which I was being slightly patient about. I was on an app on my phone that didn't notify me that they had called, but immediately called back, and they said to come to the door. At the door, an older woman in pink asked me who I was and when I told her, she gave me attitude about how she had been calling me. She took down a few pieces of information and asked me why I was there. My hands were full with my dog, and I was standing in the heat and couldn't reach the documents to tell her. She proceeded to help someone else and walk inside without telling me what was going on. I waited by the front door for 10 minutes before another young woman with dark hair came and asked me to wait in my car. I told her I was told to come in. She asked me again to wait in my car. I told her again that I was called to come in. She finally said okay let me get a room ready. When we got to the room, her tone had changed and was nicer. As she took everything down in this small "private" room, there were other workers that were using the room as a hallway, which I found very weird. At one point, the woman in pink came in to check if I was someone I wasn't even though I gave her my name earlier. The woman with black hair shut the doors and left me to wait for the vet. The vet came in about 10 minutes later with 2 other younger people (possibly trainees?). (By the way, that's 4 adults and a dog in a 48 sq ft. room. Just for reference, my job has a 1 person per 250 sq ft. rule in place. Everyone was wearing some form of face covering, but there was no social distancing going on.) My dog immediately went on the offensive. Keep in mind he did not make a sound when only one other person he did not know was in the room. The vet did not consider that maybe they had overwhelmed him and did not consider any solutions to make him comfortable. Instead they treated him like a wild animal. I got very upset and told the vet I wanted to leave immediately, but decided to go ahead with just one shot of many that he needed because I was afraid I couldn't get another appointment soon enough. He tried asking me what was wrong and I said I wasn't happy with the entire process. I wasn't very good at vocalizing my concerns at the time. I left the room with no direction on what to do next. I figured I had to pay so I waited around at the desk until someone came to help me. The woman in pink came and said she basically didn't know how to help me because she didn't have my paperwork. She never came back, and instead a new tall woman with black hair came to the counter to ask me what was wrong with my visit. I generally told her it was a very bad experience and that every step along the way was difficult. She had a terrible attitude and told me that things are hard because of the virus. I had no issue with extra protocol due to the virus. She didn't seem to really care about my concerns. I paid and left. read more

I rescued my cat from Dr. Andrews 7 years ago. I recently went for her yearly shots and asked him why is is always dry heaving. he didn't seem concerned and switched her food.he gave her an injection for acid reflex. he also gave me stool softener I went back to him the following week because she was still heaving and her breathing appeared labored. this time he took an x-ray of her abdomen and showed me that she appeared constipated and gas bubbles were in the intestines. he did mention that part of her lung appeared to have a problem but didn't seem to concern. he said she has bronchial asthma. he then gave her a allergy shot. I called his office to have him call me many times but he never did. Her breathing was so bad I rushed her to the ER vets in boynton beach. She was in CHF and died a painful death as they were unable to relieve her discomfort. If he would have x-rayed her heart he would have seen that her heart was so enlarged leaning on the left rib cage. My Nina died in my arms in such pain and discomfort. read more

There are so many amazing things I can say about Dr. Armstrong and his staff. He went above and beyond taking care of my last dog who past away. Now I adopted a rescue dog from Puerto Rico who came to me very sick and with several diseases. Dr. Armstrong and his staff have taken their time and energy to help make my little guy better and are there every time I have brought him in panicking because something new has happened. We are slowly working our way through all the issues and crossing our fingers because one of the diseases he has knocked his immune system down. I would never think about bringing my animals to any one else, I can not thank Dr. Armstrong or his staff for all that they have done and will be doing for my dog(s). read more

I have been going to dr Armstrong for close to 25 years and I cannot truly Express his love for animals. He goes above and beyond to fix whatever health issue he's dealing with. He saved my golden retriever Grace more than once. We almost lost her when she ate poison mushrooms at a year old but he brought her back to life. When she broke her tail falling off my bed he was so upset and called several of his colleagues all over the country to get their advice as to whether he should amputate her tail to avoid losing her. They all said yes except for one and he decided against it. We took her in to see him every four days to rewrap her tail and do ex rays. With lots of prayers and dr Armstrong's attention to her on a regular basis her tail healed and is wagging as it always did. I am so grateful to have found him years ago and know he's still there to care for my 13 yr old Goldens Winnie and Grace. read more
