Nice space. Good…read morewalking/running paths. Lots of cookouts in the open areas. Nice play area with sprinklers for the kids to enjoy. Safe during peak times with a police presence there, particularly in the main field area. Lonelier areas throughout the park but never felt unsafe. Parking along both sides of Sheridan Blvd. wasn't to bad with people coming and going often. Kudos to those (groups/companies) responsible for building this section up. Years ago there wasn't much desireable here...but they've really built it up into a place where not only locals can enjoy, but others can come to visit...doesn't happen to much is the less desireable neighborhoods, or boroughs for that matter. Great job!

The waterside view isn't the best, as the water is stagnant and pretty dirty as the dredge is about 1000 feet ahead in the next park over: Concrete Plant Park. Needless to say, it's got a lot of greenery, and is overall peaceful. As this is a new park to the area, it's is a great area park for the neighborhood. It appears they will be expanding it to connect to other area parks in the future, like Concrete Plant park and another park to the North. I'm looking forward to seeing the Bronx River House, which will be a NYC Parks facility that will serve as a community education center and boat house for the park.

Yes, I have been to Ferry Point Park. It is a nice park to walk, to jog, ride a bike, a scooter or…read morejust sit and relax.. It has some wide new paths where you are comfortable with bikes on the same path. They have wide fields where children can actually run wild, and have fun without getting into trouble. They have BBQ grills for family picnics. And, for the first time, I saw picnic tables that seemed to be designed for the disabled and people in wheel chairs. There is lots of waterfront for people to fish, admire the waterfront or glance at the beauty of the Whitestone bridge and surrounding area. An extra addition to the park is the New York Ferry where you can take a lovely scenic ride to Manhattan. It travels down the east river. It is like a mini cruise, as you are able to observe the majestic view of New York City. All of this is either lost or not seen, when you take a subway, bus , cab or any other transportation down and through the city. So, Ferry Point Point Park is quite a place to visit with so many activities at your disposal. All of this would be lost if it was not easy to get there from the Bronx, Westchester, Connecticut or any of the surrounding areas. To add zest to this already fantastic area, There is plenty of free parking in the park and you can, also, walk there from many of the nearby neighborhoods. If I noticed correctly, and I am quit sure I did, there is transportation from the parking lot to the New York Ferry and back. Wow, car to the park, free parking, transportation to the Ferry, lovely leisurely cruise downtown. And, unlimited fantastic views. Sounds like a beautiful day trip to me. Give it a try and heave a great day.

They don't have a bonafide baseball park, however. And I've noticed that with soccer becoming very popular, this park has become awfully polluted with trash, not to mention flooded ground after it rains. I would really like to see the parks department start enforcing a "carry in- carry out" rule. Because of this reason, I have to take a star off.

This is definitely my favorite pool to come to. I've been coming since I was a child and now I get…read moreto bring my own child here. The pool is always clean. They have lifeguards which make it very safe. Plenty of parking which you pay $10 cash for. Entrance to the pool is $5 a person cash or card. Things to note-you can bring blankets, towels, clothes, beach chairs and medications inside the pool area. My son uses an EpiPen and asthma meds and they were allowed in. You cannot bring any food or drinks besides water bottles. You can bring a cooler but no ice. Any other food can be left in the car. I also saw you cannot bring certain goggles for the pool. I will say, they have really improved their menu this year! The chicken tenders and fries were better this year. They added funnel cake and dipping dots, and even have the icy dipping dots which is great for my son who is allergic To dairy. They sell chips and soda bottles, no fountain drinks anymore. You can ask for cups with ice for $1 more. The garlic parm sauce i got for my chicken tenders was sooo good! We spent about $100 on a bunch of food here for 4 but it was well Worth it. Def love how they extended the menu! Plan to return here soon
