I got several quotes for the job with a very wide range, which shows me some paint companies will price gouge. One person was nice but used foul language as if I were a drinking buddy and not a potential customer. One seemed incensed that I was getting multiple quotes (his was over $20K, by far the highest). And then there was Mike from 360. Mike was the most personable. Mike is not a paint scientist by any means, but he brings a paint specialist to the table to discuss options so I have no problem with that. By contrast, one of the competitive company owners does the painting himself, but he had a potty mouth and disparaged other companies. I chose to go with 360 because Mike was professional and kind and because he offered a competitive rate. I ultimately chose a semi-solid stain for my house, which proved to be not the best decision because the nature of this type of paint is that it can look different on different shingles, even if they both look the same initially. We had some ups and downs with the project (for example, we had to replace shingles due to woodpecker damage and now those shingles stand out because of the semi-transparent nature of the stain but that's not the fault of 360 Painting). They were clear upfront that the stain does show what's underneath somewhat (that's part of the charm of the semi-solid stain actually). We're happy with the result (and the new shingles should fade over time). Ultimately, Mike delivered on his company's promise to go above and beyond to deliver satisfaction. The house looks much better than before we started the job. The best endorsement I can give is next time I need painting, I will give Mike a call.

As for Conrad's painting, He did my entire first floor and it was soot damaged and in very bad shape. There were a few details that I was not happy with. Conrad was more than happy to come back with pleasure and take care of more than a few minor details until I was completely satisfied. He came back twice. Once on a Sunday. I felt like I was being a stickler about details but all he wanted was for me to be happy. He remained a professional gentleman. Here is the final results. They initially quoted me 4-5 days to paint the exterior of my home, but it ended up taking over a month. Throughout the process, I had to constantly reach out for updates and was even told by my "project manager" to stop reaching out to the office and if I had concerns to reach out to him. After voicing my complaints of the project manager, I was informed that the employee was let go because of the issues I raised. While I appreciate accountability, it shouldn't have taken my frustrations for the company to address their internal problems. Overall, this was an unprofessional and stressful experience. It's disappointing when a company fails to communicate effectively. I was left as a paying customer feeling undervalued and frustrated. I truly do not think this company is best for working families with the lack of urgency displayed by New Haven Painters. This gives me the chance to do a side-by-side comparison of the work. Getting the quote: a fair, clear, transparent quote was quickly provided to me after sending a request in Yelp. Scheduling my job: Joan is an all-star. She handles the invoices and scheduling. She got all of my questions answered, was flexible with me on timing, helped me understand what to order, and sought answers for me about some challenges with the previously completed by another company wall. Her communication was quick, detailed, and kind. I can't stress how important basic kindness is and was the reason I went with PRP. Another company quoted me lower after I'd already started talking to Joan and I didn't pursue it because I was so impressed with her level of care. Fitting me in: I travel for work and was seeking a job to be done quickly. They had the job scheduled to be done within a week despite having pre-scheduled jobs. They managed to fit my project in and were flexible even when I couldn't be. Professionalism and skill: I was immediately at ease meeting the two people who were working on the wall.
