I want to take out the time and thank Dan and Juan and the other nice Spanish young lady...I cannot remember her name. However they looked out for me being a Disabled Senior Citizen. Hopefully they're not gone out of business because I need help with getting into an apartment I'm about to get. Seems they can't be reached now. Oh wow

Really bad place. They look down on you like you are beneath them. They want total respect yet they…read moreraise their voice lie and treat you like garbage. The receptionist here was writing little sarcastic notes on my mail and when I told her that's illegal and please don't do that she lied and said it was the post office lol then all the workers came out and attacked me verbally yelling at me etc. I had to file a report with the cops and civil rights dept of homeless shelters. The receptionist is a nut case lol. They also have no way to forward your mail so if you get your mail there you have to change the address qith every company you get maul from lol its a pain in the butt. There's a blonde dwarf girl there and she's totally rude lol acts like she's on her rag and raises her voice to mentally ill people. Don't go here. There's better places than this. It seems nice because it's a clean nice building but the people in it make this place the most crappy place ever. The picture attached is of very sarcastic notes by the receptionist telling me to not get packages there when I already explained to her it was an accident. She put agreement contract and a smiley face lol post passive aggressive crap ever. She also told me in person very rudely. She was writing on my mail before not even using post it notes. Errr never again. I work 6 days a week I'm not a drug user or mentally ill yet they all treated me like I am while I was there today yelling at me telling me I'm lying. The picture is the proof. Please don't come here.mail also comes open too and they steal things and lose things and tell you they didn't.

Not familiar with rehabs and so on, Lolly and me, new to San Pedro, kept hearing "Beacon House…read moreBoys" they do this and that. There actually seems to be some community pride about Beacon House. So as rehabs go, what is different with this one? Basically, what is different is that it's an "as long as it takes" place. Maybe someone needs more than six weeks or six months or even a couple years. They will not be considered "all done" until they are. We think some people who have spent years of their lives in a blur of substances may need the restrictions that some of the reviewers complain about. We want to honor that they have their experience, their truth, and it may have taken some courage to complain too. How does Beacon House afford to do this? There are fund-raisers and donations and the profits of the thrift store on Pacific, but if you're on government benefits as your "income" you're going to have to think of these government benefits as how you pay your way. As we understand it, except for the expensive, private rehabs, the ones that celebrities or other high income people go to, they all are dependent on government funds in some way, Our understanding is that some people need a very controlled, restrictive environment for a while in order to break the lifestyle that they've had addicted. The reason that they are monitored is so they don't go out and do their stuff, which might have included buying and selling. It's hard going but it's not forever even if it feels like it at first. It may also seem incredibly boring compared to being high. So just in living life we have met some of the men who are or where in the program there. We met a man in midlife who had been thrown out of his family's home because of all the drama he was bringing in there because of his addiction. He spent some time at Beacon House. We actually don't know when or how long he stayed there. Maybe a year and a half ago he was off his substances but he was also depressed and feeling that there was nothing left for him but to go on SSI. "This is it for me," he told us. Well, we caught up with him recently, maybe a year since he thought SSI was it for him and he is back with his family, he is off his substances, he is active in a church of his choosing, and most importantly, he has become an apprentice and is employed, bought a car and is driving, and is so much happier and healthier and fulfilled.

I feel like they honor our pets beautifully because they know how special they are to us. They even provide you with grief support resources. I will continue to support CAMP because I know they will support me and my babies. I was amazed at the quality of care we received, the urn and the keepsakes for the price that we paid... you'll always have to pay something but they are super affordable without skimping on quality or care.
