I'm a…read morelittle worried that the proximity is not doing Bali Rasa any favors, as they always seem to have fewer patrons than they deserve. Thai Lotus is good, and so is Bali Rasa. In any case, Bali Rasa serves up tasty and authentic Indonesian food. The Nasi Goreng in particular is excellent, and I've yet to have an unenjoyable meal here. Their sambal chili packs a decent punch in terms of heat, and there's a milder sambal matah available if you're looking for a bit less spice. Either makes a good accompaniment. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are filling.

Okay, so let's get the ugly bit out of the way. The very first time I ate here, I discovered a…read moredead fly about halfway through my Pad Thai. After that happened, I was not pleased. Immediately prior to that, however, I had been enjoying some of the best tasting Pad Thai I'd had in awhile. Anyhow, after some time passed I decided to give this place another try, and received nothing but delicious food. This happened several more times. So I consider that first incident to be forgiven. It was a fluke accident, and not indicative of the quality of the food you'll get at Praow Thai. The food here tastes (and smells) excellent, the flavors are authentic, and their menu is both more diverse and more affordable than other nearby Thai restaurants. And you can order pretty much anything on it as a 'lunch special' for $8, which is a ridiculously good deal compared to most other places. With the unfortunate exception of that initial visit, I've not had a bad meal at Praow Thai. As such, I'm revising my rating to 4 stars (original rating: 3 stars). It's a solid option for delicious Thai food. Updated: 28/11/2013

The Menu is modern Australian featuring the very freshest of local vegetables and ingredients and the fish is particular is wonderful. There were three of us there for lunch on a beautiful day...The skies were blue, not too hot. The Noosa River was sparkling and we were spoiled for choice from a big menu offering. The Staff were very friendly and obliging re my food allergies and we had a perfect lunch. For those of you who are are Gluten Free, the Chef will accomodate you! Many thanks and hats off to Philip and his team!! I was delighted by the fact that all the Mains were served with enough vegetables or salads so you did not have to order side dishes. You could, but it was not necessary. And Yes, I am criticising here many Noosa restaurants who seem to think it is ok to charge big prices for a piece of protein sitting lonely on a plate with just a garnish of a 'green' herb, necessitating you having to order at least one to two 'sides' of green vegetable/potato or chips at an additional $8 to 10 a bowl!
