I got my acrylic nails done this past weekend (which took them 3 hours for a simple full set) No they weren't backed up or busy at all, just slow, which I don't mind if it's a good job. I had 2 nails break in 2 DAYS at work, and I'm not rough with my hands at all. It practically fell off and I glued them back together. After the third acrylic nail broke, I called as soon as they opened to get them fixed and they wouldn't even schedule me to fix them today so that I could work tonight without a ghetto looking nail job. I don't know if they're gotten lazy with hiring, but this is ridiculous and unprofessional. It's definitely a walk in and take a chance kind of salon. Maybe they should stick to gel manicures. As you can see, I posted a picture of my pinky nails side by side.. the much skinnier, longer, even thinner nail broke the very next day I left the salon.
