Let me just say it was the best decision. As we walk in we are greeted by the overall amazing zen that seems to fill the store, it's very calming and very uplifting. We were greeted by the lady in the sari who I didn't get her name sadly but she was a complete joy to speak with. She made my mom and I comfortable and answered all of our questions about anything we had. She also gave us a great lesson on the singing bowls and by the end of it we were able to play them (not as good as her lol) we ended up playing a wide array of singing bowls which was very fun and super relaxing, they sound and feel incredible. They also have an awesome selection of crystals, stones, bracelets, malas, incense and anything to align your chakras and help you meditate or cleanse your space/body. Also the scent of the store is so amazing and I wish I could bottle it and wear it as a perfume haha. I also love that they offer samples of any incense and cones for you to try and I love love love that! Especially for when I want to try new incenses without buying a whole box. They also offer very cute free handmade crystal bags made of Indian silks and fabrics when you purchase crystals/stones. If the gemstone was real it would not tolerate heat and thus would have to be removed for band to be sized and this would be quite a bit more expensive. They indicated they would have gemologist determine if stone was real and get back to me before working on it. I did not hear back from them the next day so dropped back in store to find out that the the band on ring had been broken (it was perfectly fine when dropped off and has been fine for many years). The store would take no responsibility and claimed that the gold on band was defective and the band would have probably broken in the near future in any event. As for fixing the band , I was told that this would be costly as the gem would have to be removed and they would not incur the expense of fixing. I was dumbfounded since they broke the band they should have fixed it.

I went to countless jewellery stores and was always told "the features are too complicated and it doesn't warrant the design." This all changed when I met Mathew. He was open and willing to take on the challenge of building the perfect ring. I described to him the meaning of the ring. I even went as far as trying to figure out how many twists the bands would have and the number of diamonds on the band, in order to be symbolic of our relationship. Mathew asked me why I had chosen a specific style and feature. So I described that the band was to be simple yet stunning, like my partner. The center stone was to represent her heart and I wanted it to be as big and clear as possible. Together we went through multiple design stages. For example, changing the diamond sizes on the twist in order to make it look nicer. When it came to choosing the center stone, Mathew knew exactly what I was after. He told me that it would take time, but he was willing to bring in diamonds to show me, until we found the perfect one. Never once did he pressure me into choosing a specific stone. He told me to be patient and that when the moment came, I would know I had found the perfect diamond. Well the day came. Mathew presented me with the final stone, and he was right, I knew it was the one for the ring. He agreed that it matched my description perfectly. The ring design was completed next and high quality photos were given to me for approval. I once again decided to make changes to the ring. This time adding each of our initials and birth stones to the side of the ring. Mathew agreed it was a very nice touch to the ring. When all was said and done, the final ring came out better then I had ever expected. Mathew said the reaction on my face was priceless. He felt the ring was exactly what I had envisioned for my partner. All this to say, Dixon Jewelers allowed me to come up with exactly what I felt my partner deserved in order to reflect who she is. Dixon Jewelers accepted the challenge and was fully supportive through this LONGER than normal process (only due to my changes :) ).
