She then informed me that the dress is damaged. I told her it wasn't and simple cloth can remove that. She then explain to me that either I purchase the dress that isn't the correct size or she will call the cops. Not to create a bigger scene I paid for the dress that doesn't fit. How do u force some one to purchase something because of deodorant on a black dress is beyond me. But I will no longer do business with a company that employees that behave in such a manner.

The answer I was given was a whole bunch of gibberish, only to find out that what this sister told me was that the website is down. So I said "oh okay so there's a website when will it be back up? The answer that I got was filled with so much attitude..."it seems like you're trying really hard to find out something" when I repeated the question again, "yes I was asking if you had a website and" before I could finish the question this sister cut me off and rudely said "I just told you that the website is down". I just told the sister "you know what NEVERMIND and hung up". Oh well, opportunities were missed here!

I'm sure the curvy girls feel me out there. Anyways back to Torrid. I entered the store and it was not what I expected at all. Clothes seemed dated and not good quality. And when I'd pick up a blouse that I could possibly wear, the price tag was easily $49.99. What?!?!? This isn't Banana Republic. I can get something there for that price of a much better quality, just as an example. What happened to all the cute merch online that was being advertised? None of those dresses. And the sad clearance section of one or two racks was still overpriced. A clearance cotton shirt $28.99. I know this is I suppose a "specialty store" because of the extended sizes but I think the company is taking advantage of their customers. They shouldn't have to pay those high prices to find a pair of jeans in their size. They mentioned they have coupons and such that get mailed. Not only was the clothes expensive, it was a small selection and not very cute at that. Just a few pieces. I don't think I will be returning.

I explained to her I live in Miami, no where near by and it's easier for me to shop online and than coming to the store. It seemed like if she was trying to kinda catch me in a lie asking why don't I just make the drive? She lives in miami and makes the drive... I don't want to drive 60+minutes during the week to come here. Anyways, she takes out my things to start the return and instead of doing one big return, she tells me that everything needs to be returned separately and then whatever I'm purchasing will be in different transactions. This is news to me.. I shop torrid often, and doing my three returns this time around took an HOUR... ONE HOUR.. because she had difficulties listening to what I was telling her about when I purchased things, showing her the receipt, her jumping to answers without listening to my concerns . All she wanted was to tell me no, and say it's not policy and she can bring out the handbook, it's in the back room. Listen, I've worked retail and I know how policies work but if a customer who shops there often is used to a certain way of things being done instead of just saying "I'm just following policy" "I'm not gonna get fired over you because I'm not gonna break the rules" over and over and over and over and over and over (I say this many times because that's all this lady said!) then maybe you should see as a manager that the ones who are at fault are the employees for doing things the wrong way, the company, and not the damn customer. Keep me happy. Say I'll do this for you this time but moving forward this is how things will be done. I'm not a damn torrid employee who memorizes policies, I'm a customer who shops there frequently. I hate when new management comes in and ruins the flow of a store. Won't be shopping at this location again.

I've heard of the store for many years and believe they have a few locations, but I've never actually gone in one. I had some time to pass while hubby was in another store and decided to stop in. Staff were friendly and welcoming and helpful with items when asked. I'm not sure how they work there pricing but for essentially used (however light) items, some seemed very reasonable and others seemed not far off of new depending on the brand. They do seem to have better brands and in better condition (mostly) than a goodwill. There is an organizing to the items but some are a little unclear. Overall if you have the time and don't mind secondhand, you can definitely find some hidden gems or at least items off the mainstream.

They pick up household goods, clothes, shoes, sports equipment, books, etc. They have a truck that rolls up to my house and I put my donations in a bag and leave it on the patio. I was going to Miramar anyway so I figured I might be able to pick up a few bucks off my nice, clean and name brand items. I walked in and she had an attitude, but ok. She explained the process. All items must be clean, in good condition and within the past two years. Well, my clothes and Uggs were clean and in good condition. Most of the items were in the two year scope but two probably were not. I had eight items in total. I walked around browsing and saw a pair of white jeans with a stain on them, ready to be sold. Nothing here for me, so I went to Publix a few doors down. She calls me and says my items are ready to be picked up. She put my Uggs in the bag with the clothes. I brought them in separate bags and don't put used shoes in the same bag as clothes! Anyway, she said my items were either not clean or over two years old. Actually, one dress is dirty now, because she put the Uggs on them!! I do not recommended this place at all. You would probably be better off selling your clothes online or donating to a worthwhile charity. I have never seen someone who seems to hate their job as much as this female.
