Located on historic US-12, this place is like stepping back in time, when most small town bowling alleys in the 1950s only had a handful of lanes. You really develop a sense of what retro bowling is all about when you enter this building. Over the past few years, the owners of the White Pigeon Bowl have been gradually modernizing their facility. While the above lane ball returns were manufactured by Brunswick in the early-to-mid 1950s, the rest of the equipment has been completely brought up to 21st Century standards. They have AMF synthetic lanes, and 82-70 automatic pinspotters that were recently upgraded to 82-90 standards. So if you're looking for a great place to bowl with that nostalgic feeling, but don't like the crowded big house atmosphere that other nearby bowling centers give you, then this is the place for you. Likewise, this is a cool place to take your kids to have a party, or just spend some quality time enjoying some open bowling together. However, the TVs must have been from the 2010s because most of them had display issues which made the scoring hard to see. Thankfully, each lane had also a touch screen display that showed the scores of each player so you did not have to rely on the overhead TV. My sister and family showed up only to be cussed at by the owner when my sister asked what happened to the lanes they reserved. Her mother who had gotten there early was treated poorly and cussed out by the owner just for asking where the party was. And for the record...my sister and her mom are not rude people or behaved in any way at all to be treated like that. Fortunately, with these last second changes Peat's Cider social in Stevensville welcomed us and accommodated the party at the last minute. Definitely wouldn't recommend Coloma Lanes.
