As a parent, this daycare will always hold a special place in our hearts. My daughter attended and graduated from their program, and overall our experience was truly amazing. When the incident happened in 2024, I was scared like any parent would be. The school immediately shut down, took things seriously, and spent time putting proper safety measures and precautions in place. During that time, I felt they were transparent and handled an extremely difficult situation the best they could. My daughter continued attending until graduation once they reopened, and I'm grateful she was able to finish her time there. I also spoke with Tara, the owner, and she was nothing but honest, caring, and truly heartbroken. You can tell she pours her entire heart into these kids and sees them as her own. What I don't want people to forget is what this school actually did for our children. My daughter learned her shapes, started spelling her name, and came out of her shell in the best way. She was excited for dance class, Spanish, performances, and student of the month it truly built her confidence. It's sad seeing so much judgment online based only on headlines. My son Austin went to this amazing school for 2 years . He graduated TK this year and we are missing the teachers already . My son went from being shy in public to participating on all of his schools activity's and performances. He would sing and dance . He learned how to count how to write his full name and how to identify his shapes . I also loved that they had dance teacher and most of all they have Spanish teacher my son learned his colors in Spanish he learned his animals in Spanish and so much more . We love Rainbow! Our 6 year old started Rainbow when it was under Ms. Toke. After a couple years, Ms. Tara took over and she has been great as well. Most importantly, the teachers are genuinely caring, compassionate, and comforting. They are always so patient with our children's needs and we can see how much they love their teachers. Ms. Marcelle is so loving and kind, Ms. Cristina so patient and Ms. Misty is the glue that holds it down. My 2.5 year old is now attending and we are pleased with the level of care provided. In comparison to surrounding facilities, we love the size of every room and how comfortable they keep the room temperatures for each season. A big plus for the heat in the valley. They are spacious and nicely decorated. The school does a number of events for every holiday and is so detailed. We always enjoy seeing the little ones dance and have fun. After searching for reliable daycare with infant care I was completely satisfied with rainbow early learning center. Tara has been so helpful from the enrollment process to questions and concerns. My baby has been here since he was 3 months and I have never felt such a safe environment as a second time mother. The facility has such an amazing team of women that are very passionate about caring for the children. Hello Parents, I would like to warn you all on this facility as they pride themselves on the kids safety and early learning and that is far from what is being given to our poor kids. I have a 2 year old who started a year ago who has endured multiple injures under this facilities care. My daughter has been bit, pushed, and yesterday attacked all over her face. The incident was documented and downplayed and when it was brought up the the director TARA dismissed it and cares more on her reputation than the safety of our children. The teachers have voiced multiple times they are under staffed and not being given the necessary tools to ensure the kids safety. She claims the ratio is 10 kids to one teacher which does not seem safe at all. iv witness chaos but thought she's doing the best she can with the tools being given till yesterday. Kids will be kids but we invest and trust in these facilities to provide the needed care, yet this facility just collects your money doesn't provide the tools needed for each teacher to succeed. On top of it all they asks weekly to participate in a bake sale to pay for supplies for the students since there director does not supply what they need. Rainbow's care and attention has been unmatched elsewhere. Each staff member has shown love and kindness through every interaction with my children. Some highlights of this daycare - they host a Holiday Program every year (cutest event I've ever seen), they have a different theme for the kiddos to be enriched with everyday, and they offer yummy snacks, breakfast, and lunch each day (less to think about as a parent). I am beyond grateful for the support that this center has provided our family. I have 1 child who goes to this school. She's been going here since she was 14 months she's now over 2 years old. Her teachers love her, I can tell they really care and they keep me updated about the good and bad. I was very disappointed in this daycare and I had to pull my son from it because he was not safe. He was bitten twice and one time he had multiple scratches all over his face and the explanation was he tried to take a toy from another child. The teachers here don't care and you can tell that they are just here for a paycheck. They don't enjoy the children and everyday when I pick my son up he can't wait to get the hell out of there (which is not a good sign). As far as education, I don't feel like they really did anything with them there. Art projects that were in the folder to take home were just of crayon scribbles from printed out coloring sheets. I wouldn't even call those art projects. All other schools I've seen have sent home actual art projects where the kids use construction paper and glue. I must've visited a dozen daycares to take my then 3 year old before I found this great place. Ms. Toke is the owner and director and is as sweet and professional as can be. The rooms were very clean and bright, which was important to me. I didn't want my son to feel like he was in a den all day. I am a very overprotective parent and I felt very safe leaving my son here. I would often get off work early and pick my son up early and always see Ms. Toke walking the grounds and checking in on the classrooms. They also have a great learning curriculum. My son learned his numbers, letters, and how to write his name before going to kinder. They also have nature walks, planting, summer and winter activities. They are easy to reach over the phone and very responsive to any concerns I had. My son was a late bloomer with potty training but they worked with him and us to get him going. This review is only for the infant room I had to return to work when my daughter turned 3 months. It was hard to even imagine, but Rainbow continue to makes me feel better about having to leave my baby with them. First thing I loved is that the director, Toke, told me I can drop in whenever to tour it. I hated going on other daycare tours and having to schedule it, I want to be able to pop in whenever. Second, the space of the infant room was great to see! It was very clean and had great lighting. Third, of course, are the caregivers. You can tell that they really do love the babies and the feeling is mutual. One of them can just sit down and start singing and it's so cute to see the babies crawl up to them and pay attention! Each baby has their own crib, which I like a lot. They don't let the babies cry long at all, I've walked in a couple of times where a few kids were crying, but someone was attending to them. My daughter is currently the youngest and not mobile, but she's very content in their arms, the swing, or even the floor with some toys. It's so heartwarming to see her so happy to be there, it makes it easier to leave. I can go in whenever I want, too. This place was one of the pricier ones, but it's definitely worth it knowing my baby is in good hands! I called a lot in the beginning to check on her and was never met with annoyance. They're pretty good at doing what you tell them in regards to how to care for them, particularly feeding. My daughter started Rainbow Early Learning last year and she LOVES IT. She is so excited to go to daycare every day and she has learned so much in less than a year. I'm a proud Mother of a Preschool Graduate. My Daughter has been coming to Rainbow since she was in the baby room. Next week she graduates and moves on to Kindergarten. Wow that statement just got me a little teary eyed. My baby is now a little girl :( that being said I would like to share our experience as we have worked our way from the baby room all the way up. First of all I must give props to the actual facility, it's great. It's always clean and safe. You can really tell that Mrs. Toke cares as she is always decorating for Holidays, keeping the place clean and doing things such as ordering new wood chips for the playground. She's always available to speak to when you have a question and she's always interacting with the children. OVER THE YEARS: It's been a great experience. starting with the Baby room. I absolutely love the Woman who were in there when my Daughter was a baby. They were so kind and caring. My Daughter still to this day takes care of Her own babies (dolls of course) like she observed in the baby room. EDUCATION: As far as education my four year old Daughter comes home with home work and has absolutely learned many things from this School. She knows how to write many words and comes home telling me about all kinds of things she's learned. The Preschool is great at Rainbow. My Daughter is well equipped to start Kindergarten in August. TEACHERS: My Daughter loves Her teachers, she gives them hugs and speaks highly of them. I personally have had great experiences with them and feel that they really care about Her. They are always respectful of my wishes and always available to speak to. I've been given lots of feed back on my Daughter that I've found very useful. I can't say enough good things about Miss Misty, Miss Maureen and Miss Joy. They seem to go above and beyond for the kids. I was told that my Daughter had low iron so I told Miss Maureen Her Teacher at the time and she said she would watch Her at Lunch and make sure that She was eating properly. I thought that was very nice of Her. So my experience over all with the Teachers has been great and I know my Daughters experience with them was also great. FUN STUFF/ BONUS: Can you say bouncy houses, Holiday Parties, Planting, Karate, Dance, fun dress up days, fire trucks, pony pictures, old fashion photos, Dentist visits, vision checks, Child ID cards, friendship fruit salad day, brownie baking day and so on. Not to mention Breakfast, Lunch and Snack. Over all I would say this place is a great place to bring your child. I highly recommend it. Is it perfect, no of course not, nothing is. Yes I've seen kids take toys, fight and cry but that's to be expected. Have I been in love with ever Teacher and every helper,no. Have I ever disliked any, no. Did my Daughter learn at this School, absolutely! Was she very well cared for at Rainbow? Very much so! Does Mrs. Toke care about the School and the Children. To me its very clear that she does. I honestly believe this school is garbage. Hear me out my little brother attended this preschool since he was 3years and the lack of education this school provided is poor. They gave up on my little brother. He was being bullied by other children and "supposedly" educated staff. They refuse to help him and now he is struggling in school because of the lack of real education provided. I've taken child development and the way they sugar coat everything is disgusting. He never recieved homework from his teachers and when we ask they said we don't give him work. They couldn't help him with basic work shapes, colors and alphabet. I know there's soo much to teach but to give up on a child just for a pay check is unethical. My brother's education is on thin ice and might have to repeat a grade due to the fraud this school is. My kids started at Rainbow when they were just 5 months old and continued until they went to kindergarten. They loved every single class they were in throughout the years. They had their favorite teachers of course, but all of the staff members were kind and supportive throughout the years. Our family never experienced any incidents aside from the standard scrapes and bruises that occur while on playground or from another kid bopping them on the head with a toy, etc. One thing I really like about the center is its very school-like setup. My kids started learning their colors, shapes, numbers, and letters from a very early age. They learned early on how to share, sit and listen to stories, take turns with other kids, etc. They are very well positioned for success in kindergarten and are already advanced in many skills. During the year, the kids always have something to look forward to. There are lots of weekly and seasonal activities, like holiday performances in the winter, egg hunts around Easter, and room-to-room trick-or-treating at Halloween. The days are well structured and include meals, naptime, art, schoolwork, and outdoor play. There always seems to be a birthday party or other celebration going on each week. My kids had so much fun at Rainbow that they would often cry when I picked them up because they didn't want to go home! When the center reopened during COVID, I didn't hesitate to send my kids back for a couple of months before kindergarten started. They implemented rigorous cleaning and screening protocols in accordance with the guidelines, and I felt my kids were very safe there. They were so happy to be able to see their teachers and friends again and just to get some structure back to their day. Overall, we had a great five years at Rainbow. Amazing facility. Very nurturing folks that take care of all my three kids at different ages at different stages. My children have been in other day cares but this one has been the absolute best. The director is always on top of everything making sure she makes the best accommodations for our children. Always clean always ready for learning and my kids run inside in anticipation. This review is from 2013 BEWARE! I just had to pull my 2 year old daughter out of this horrible place about 2 hours ago after only 3 weeks in Ms Shiva and Ms Christinas class. Let me first say that this was our final week here at Rainbow because I felt that we weren't getting our moneys worth; she wasnt being educated nor being cared for. And for the record, let me tell you that my actions and attitude toward both the teachers and Ms Toke up until today was nothing but nice BUT my instincts told me to check on her today because she might be mistreated because she was leaving. And boy was I right (and this was not a good thing)! On our very first week, Kaitlyn came home with a horrible diaper rash (and she has NEVER had one before) that extended from the front to her anus, which only meant that it took them awhile to change her after she had pooped. Every day, before I pick her up around 3:30pm, I peek through the window to see how she is doing. One afternoon, few days after the rash incident, I watched her play with another child and thought, "good, shes playing" and I walk in to find that shes being changed. So I walk over there out of curiosity and my daughter tells me, "mama, poo poo," which only tells me that shes been playing, who knows how long with feces in her pants (and I know Kaitlyn is good about letting you know) and that explained her rash. Over the course of next few weeks, I start to notice other things such as: her milk bottle is filled with water when I pick her up when I send her to school with 2 bottles, 1 for milk and 1 for water and the milk bottle is always filled with milk in the morning. Watched a child smack another child in the classroom where both of the teachers do nothing. High percentage of the children walking around with snot running down their face down to their upper lip. In the yard, watched children get hurt because of the lack of attention. They have a substitute teacher every other day because Ms Christina is absent. And both of the teachers looking like they are unhappy, nor nurturing or warm. So fast forward to today, I listened to my instinct (again, worried because we gave notice) and drive over to the school during my lunch break. I peeked through the window as I usually do and saw Ms Shiva smack my daughters hand away because my daughter was reaching for some food!! I noticed everyone sitting down in front of their plate of food but Kaitlyn was standing next to Ms Shiva without food and no milk bottle. When I walked inside and asked why she is crying, Ms Christina lies to me that she had been crying here and there all morning. BS! My daughter is a happy child, she doesn't cry unless she is tired, sick or hungry. In this case, it seemed like she was crying because she was hungry! I complained to their director, Ms Toke who seemed to care less. She didn't offer to talk to Ms Shiva or to escalate the situation in any way. She looked at me with a smirk and offered to give back weeks worth of tuition. I've previously seen a negative comment posted on another site where they mention that she really doesn't care and i should have listened. Why else would she employ these horrible so called teachers (I don't know why we call them that since they don't do any teaching)?!? For any mothers out there who is considering this place, don't over look these red flags if you care about your child! I would give it no NO STARS if I could. We left a bad situation at our other childcare place (will never ever use or recommend home daycares again, even if they are licensed). My 5 month old baby was hurt at his first daycare, so I had some trust issues and difficulty with the idea of sending him anywhere else after what happened. Rainbow has been such a blessing. My baby loves it there. He smiles every time he sees the ladies working there. I'm able to see him interact and play, it's open door so I can come whenever I want (wasn't the case at the home daycare!), & everyone is extremely polite and caring. I am very happy to have my little one attend Rainbow Early Learning Center! The owner/director Mrs. Toke Smith is very hands on and involved. I am amazed how she keeps up with all the kids and parents and greets them daily. Her staff in both rooms my little one has attended, infant and toddler room, have been fantastic, caring, sweet and nurturing. I have become friends with several of them. My little one has always been treated with respect, kept clean and stimulated with various activities, books and toys. Any small challenges that my little one has had, I have been able to jointly address and work through with Mrs. Toke and the other teachers. There are various age-appropriate playgrounds for the children. The center is always cheerfully decorated with the current holiday or season theme. I am very thorough and researched multiple centers before and after my little one enrolled and have concluded that Rainbow Early Learning Center and the team running the center are the best choice for our family and also the best value. I have another center within walking distance from my home and I still chose to drive over to Mrs. Toke's center. It is beautiful, well laid out and custom built to be a center unlike other centers that have been converted home structures. I have never felt compelled to write a review, but I feel that Rainbow should get the recognition that it deserves. I am a teacher and mother of two little girls. My oldest has been under the care of the Rainbow family, more specifically, Ms. Samia, Ms. Bitsiet, and Ms. Annie since she was a little over a year old. They were always so nurturing and loving with her. I was so impressed by the extra care they take with the children that there was no question, when I became pregnant with my second, where we would place her when I was ready to go back to work. My second has been under the care of the Rainbow family since she was an infant and I was so nervous because I didn't know the ladies in the infant room, but they were wonderful as well. Ms. Teresa, Ms. Lorena, and Grandma Ruby were always cheerful when I came to visit. They were very vigilant and concerned with my baby's needs. Now, my second is under the care of Ms. Samia, Ms. Bitsiet, Ms. Annie, and Ms. Zuri and I couldn't be happier. I feel a bond with all the ladies of the Rainbow family. Ms. Toke is like another grandmother to my girls. She has been so loving, supportive and accommodating. My girls LOVE everyone at Rainbow! Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Humira, and Ms. "Fancy" have done such a fabulous job with my oldest. She learned all her letters, sounds, numbers up to 20, colors, how to write her name, and so much more while she was at Rainbow and she's only 3! Thank you to all of the Rainbow family.
