I live in Calgary, and have a selection of about 4 movie theatres within 15-20 minutes of my house. So driving to the opposite end of the city to see a newly-released movie is unheard of for me. Growing up in south end of Regina, I had the choice of the Rainbow or Southland theatres. Both are still there, but the Cineplex does not always show all of the newest flicks as it did when I was a teen and it was THEE place to go for Cheap Tuesdays in the summer. Which is ridiculous considering the population growth around Harbour Landing and in the East (I feel sorry for you Eastenders having to drive all the way to the NW!). Regardless, my mom and I wanted to see a chick-flick, so we bought tickets online, with several warnings from my mother that we had to be EARLY! We could not just show up when the movie is starting or we would be stuck in the front row. Mom didn't lie. After navigating their nightmare parking lot, we walked into the Galaxy and into utter chaos. Line-ups everywhere - thankfully the lines at the concessions moved quickly. And we were so early that we got decent seats. The theatre is a good theatre - so I'm not giving them a poor rating as it's not their fault that Regina lacks entertainment facilities. But you think any business person with half a brain would open another theatre in the city to take some of the load off this location???

We have never seen a police and history museum like this one - it's breathtaking and fascinating, with something for everyone. Static displays of equipment entertain folks who are into vehicles. Historical artifacts populate comprehensive and very well done exhibits that chronicle the history of the RCMP and its key figures. We were especially interested in the history of the RCMP units in various wars, where RCMP Mounties converted to soldiers, and back again to police after their service commitments were met. Interactive exhibits cover modern policing methods and science, such as forensics and anti-terrorism missions. And the tram tour that is included with admission gives insight into the training and commitment required of a flexible, modern, multi-threat policing agency. We spent about 3 hours here - much longer than we had anticipated. That's the level of quality and presentation here. This is one of the best museum and historic attractions in Regina, and we highly recommend it to anyone. 5 Amazing Mounties stars

For food, my boyfriend ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger ($21) with French onion soup ($7.5). I ordered the Bacon Mushroom Swiss Burger ($22) with Truffle Fries ($3), a white sangria ($10.5) and crème brûlée ($8) with strawberry compote for dessert. Prices are before tax and tip. The BBQ Pulled Pork Burger and french onion soup were alright. The sangria was absolutely delicious! I highly suggest it. I absolutely loved the mix of peach, pear and orange juice. The crème brûlée was extremely delicious. Best in Regina. Seriously ! And the Keg charges the same price for a THIRD of what Lancaster is offering. I also think their recipe at Lancaster is better. The truffle fries were decent. They were cold unfortunately but I was with a rather large group so I'm not going to fault them for it entirely. I actually think they would have been awesome if they were cooked a little warmer, a little crispier and didn't come with the sauce. I prefer a garlic, truffle and Parmesan flavour for the type of fries. The burger itself was actually pretty good. If it had been warmer, I think the patty itself would have been moister. That being say, it tasted fresh. Honestly I was wondering if it was mixed with bison because of the flavour. I throughly enjoy a gamey flavour and this burger had hints of it. Honestly, this burger is very close to being the best burger in Regina that I've ever had. I want to return and get a genuine sit down dinner experience with no more than 4 people. This place has the potential to produce the best burger in the city!
