It's not how we make mistakes, but how we correct them that defines us- Rachel Wolchin…read more Yesterday, I woke up at around 6:30 am to the sounds of footsteps on my roof. At first, I thought Lilly was slamming drawers. As I awoke more, I realized it was actually on my roof. By the time I got outside, a crew had removed about 1/3 of the shingles on my roof and I had not requested a new roof! After speaking with one of the guys, we determined that the house they meant to go to was on the other end of the street. A series of events had led to the confusion. But here is the best part...Pro Tech Roofing immediately responded with accepting responsibility and an apology. Both father and son owners were at my door by 9 am. Before lunch, there was a plan in place to get a new roof on THE NEXT DAY. The roof they gave me was WAY BETTER than my existing one. Architectural shingles with 50 year life, felt liner instead of the paper I had and a drip guard. My roof was brought up to code. They even paid the warranty fee. They saved me $10,000+. As a school teacher, that was everything to me. I'm sure I would have needed a new roof in around 5 years. They could have just done the minimum to fix my roof. They didn't. They gave me this roof and I did not pay a penny. They went the extra mile and were honest and trustworthy. The crew worked so hard and left everything pristine. I would recommend them over and over. Not only did they show character, Pro-tech roofing is clearly knowledgeable about all thing related to roofing. Thank you for being the kind of small business our community needs. My new roof is beautiful!!!!!

One of PRO TECH ROOFING's representatives, as can be seen on video, reads the sign that clearly mentions there is a noisy dog in the house and to please NOT ring the door bell unless you would like to babysit. This representative does not ring the doorbell but "knocks on our door" causing even more of a ruckus than ringing the doorbell would have caused. When I walked outside I pointed to the sign and he say's "What, I was going to baby sit!". Sorry that doesn't work and the snotty and sarcastic remark is completely uncalled for. Yes, we were at one point contemplating using this company as they have stopped by before, and it was a pleasant exchange. However, due to this unfortunate occurrence that has left our baby awake and crying due our NOISY dog barking and the utter negligence of said employee, how can I entrust you with the safety of a new roof if "simple" instructions can't be followed from the very beginning? NOPE, you will NOT be getting our business!

Turns out I only needs a couple of square feet of shingles and thousands of dollars in savings. Sorry but not into insurance fraud. When I found out about the fraud, the owner would not return any calls or messages. Buyers beware!! Look them up on Better Business Bureaus if you do not believe me.

I called my insurance office and they recommended Crestmark again. Things started off well and they had David come out to take some photos to show to Ryan. After some back and forth they got back to me saying that it would be worth filing a homeowners claim. After I filed the claim the adjuster came out and Ryan met him out here. Then came the struggle. Trying to get an estimate was difficult. Ryan would say "I'll have it to you by tomorrow" and it wouldn't happen. It took nearly 2 weeks to get an estimate from Ryan. Finally, I was able to get an estimate. Now, I was trying to schedule the work. I wasn't in a huge hurry or anything, but I needed to know a time frame of when the work might be done. I took another couple weeks to get it scheduled. The siding was replaced and the roof repaired and that went well. As part of the claim they were supposed to pressure wash my house to get the smoke off. Originally Ryan said it would be the next day after the siding was complete, but then said he needed to see when Dale could come. After contacting him about scheduling the pressure washing it took about a week to get a response. Dale came out and started washing, he only worked 15 mins and then he left and was gone for 20 minutes. This happened several times. He rang my door bell at one point and said he was out of gas and wanted to know what I wanted him to do. He also asked if I had any gas. This is really unprofessional. He never finished the job. After a couple days the sun came out and I looked closer at the house and there was bad streaking. I had already emailed Ryan to let him know about the experience with the pressure washer and he never answered. My fiancé texted Ryan about the streaking. He responded very quickly that he would see if they could come back out the next day. That was the last we heard from him and that was a week and a half ago. We ended up renting a pressure washer and doing the job ourselves. I wouldn't use this company again based on how I was treated. They don't care about customer satisfaction once they have been paid.
