I've driven by this Garden Center dozens of times over the past few years. I didn't think to stop…read morethere, because I always made my way to one of the bigger garden centers. Well I'm happy that I finally made it inside the garden center the store itself may be small, but the rest of the place "outdoors" is huge. They have everything that one would need for their home outside. Spruce it up has green houses full of annuals, and perennials. They also have a wide variety of potted and hanging plants. Outside, just south of the main building is wide assortment of clay and metal pots. Outdoor play sets, trees and shrubs They also have a resident cat (can't remenber the cat's name). It's always roaming around, and one day it caught and killed a gopher then brought it back into the main building and had itself some "lunch". Anyways, if you're ever heading south on highway 2 check them out you'll be pleasantly surprised. Oh yeah one more thing, they guarantee all trees and shrubs for one year. Keep your reciept.

Their website is happy to advertise a return policy only they don't say you have to pay for insurance on the plants for when they die. Be smarter than I was and don't spend your money with a garden center that has to do business this way. Any reputable center will always at the very least give you another plant. When I called to speak with someone about the dead shrub a woman with an accent was by far the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She was not interested in making any attempt in trying to do the right thing, she was just smug and ignorant in telling me I had to buy insurance. I will never spend money here again and will go out of my way to stop anyone else from making the same mistake as me.

We've been coming here for the past 3ish years to buy our annual Christmas tree. The trees are by…read moreno means boy scout cheap but there are several varieties to choose from, several price options to consider and the staff are very helpful/knowledgeable. They also sell wreathes, garlands, decorative art pieces and several other seasonal trinket type items. We love to get our tree the last couple days of November or first couple in December and keep it up until New Year's Day....it makes December magical in our house. Happily our trees from Plantation have not only lasted the duration (with a few needles lost) but also maintained their beauty right to the end. I've stopped in over the summer to oogle their perennials & annuals and last week got sucked in by their Mum's and nice display of Pumpkins. Again not particularly cheap...you are looking at about $20 for a decent sized pumpkin...but in comparing to other stores (pre-sales) the pricing wasn't to over the top. The kids were with me so I allowed them to pick smallish pumpkins for Halloween carving. I had to add an edit to this since I've just heard from a friend who was recently at Sunterra...they are selling pumpkins for $30-$100. So I'm thinking Plantation's pumpkins are well priced in comparison! Plantation is a great little place right in the heart of the City and well worth the trek.
