This was the absolute worst massage in every possible way that I have ever had. I will preface in…read morethat I was a massage therapist for around 10 years before a career change. In addition, I've been getting massages for about 17 years and have had nearly every modality both locally and abroad. For starters, the massage started with a request for payment before we began which is odd. I said I would pay afterwards as I intended to tip based on performance. There was no formal introduction or telling me of her name. I was told to get undressed and get on the table. I undressed to my underwear because I generally prefer not to be completely nude for the massage. She began massaging me through the sheet and assumed it was a precursor before pulling back the sheet. About 10 minutes into the sheet rubbing, I raised my head and this is where things started going left. I inquired about her using oil on my skin or something and she said "you no undress." I tried to relay that I did not want to get fully undressed and had already explained I wanted to focus on my neck, back and shoulders anyway. None of this was presumably understood. At this point she walks out to retrieve her phone and begins to communicate with me through Google Translate. This lasted about 10 minutes or so. So we're 20 minutes in at this point and I still have received virtually no massage. Honestly, I should have gotten up then, but I really just wanted a massage. After what I wanted was finally communicated, the 'massage' continued. Next, she doused me in oil. I'm talking I was soaking in oil. Then she rubs and spreads the oil over my back in a very untrained motion. I'm addition, she massages over my ribs at some point. She does tapotement that is ungodly to say the least. She did minimal neck work and at this point I want this travesty to end. Luckily, someone comes into the building so she says "excuse me" and exits the room. Yes, she leaves out the room yet again in the middle of this session. She's gone for about a minute or so. As I was about to get up she tried to come in and continue. And I say nope that's it, I've had enough and now I have a headache. She's trying to tell me to sit up. I'm telling her no, I'll wait until you leave out. We have to use the Google translate again because of the back and forth. So finally she leaves out. At this point, it has been 45 minutes according to her clock. I got about 25-30 minutes of actual rubbing. I hurriedly get dressed to leave. I have decided that I will pay for the hour and nothing more even though I barely received a 30 minute massage. She requests that I pay in cash, but all I have is a credit card. She asks me how much for tip. The question is laughable at this point. I said absolutely no tip. FYI I generally tip 20-25% for services. She proceeds to be able to somehow communicate more effectively when the discussion is about money. She starts to go back and forth with me and try and haggle saying the owner takes most money. I tell her to charge me for the massage and that I have to leave. She now has an attitude and says "$5 fee for card." I say ok and nothing more. I decided to come here because of the reviews but I'm hoping the massage others got was from someone other then this unnamed individual. I am still in disbelief of the entire ordeal and I hope she doesn't do this to anyone else. You have been warned!

I recommend this place highly. Remember there are haters in everything someone does. But for me it was a great massage. I have low back pain and when she was done I was able to walk without pain , I'm very happy and you will be too. RM.

O.M.G...where to even start!…read more This place was so amazing from walking in to having the massage. Mandy done my massage and I must say it was the best massage EVER. My friend had Beryl and he said it was the best massage he has had to. I 100% recommend going to either. You will not regret.

I know pain medication for many is a critical part of their doctor prescribed treatment plan and I don't fault anyone for making the decision to use it. For me though even after my surgery I've always chosen and had success with other mechanisms to manage my pain including stretching, acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage which has always been my go to solution. I've literally had hundreds of massages over the years of almost every variety...except for Ashiatsu. I found Acadian Massage while on a recent visit to Baton Rouge from Austin, Texas and after describing to Mandy the combination of physical conditions I was dealing with she explained and then recommended Ashiatsu (a barefoot massage technique). It was without question the most amazing massage I've ever had!!! Beyond being one of the nicest people you'll ever meet Mandy is an extremely talented therapist that I would highly recommend. I always look forward to visiting Baton Rouge for LSU football and great food, but every single visit I make from now on will also include an appointment with Mandy at Acadian Massage.

Dr. Hebert is very personable and friendly and never makes you feel like she's in a rush to get you out of there. She spends the time to hear your concerns, and answers all questions in terms the average person can understand. She is awesome. I can't speak for Dr. Harrington, but my husband is happy with her as well. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The offices are very nice, and the patient rooms are warm and inviting compared to most. I especially was happy when I was given a hospital gown for my visit today that they have CLOTH gowns and not paper so I didn't freeze to death. The wait time has always been extremely reasonable, and they take the time to listen and to determine what the issue may be. I'm very pleased with the medical care and attention I have received here. They offer many other services that I have not yet utilized, but their prices seem very reasonable and they offer a ton of beauty type services as well as medical services. If you're looking for either dermatology services or beauty spa services, I highly recommend them!
