I like this place. Specifically, I like this branch. There's something about the placement of this particular branch, the way it's situated in the corner that really contributes to people watching. Having seat near the window, staring out into the crowd while making your way through a bowl of ramen... call me odd but that's probably one of my favorite ways to relax. This particular branch doesn't fill up quickly either so it's never too crowded.
One thing I've noticed about Rai Rai Ken is that they're one of those adventurous places... or at least they are when it comes to their ramen. Not only do you have your expected chasyu (my personal favorite), miso and shio but you also have batchoy ramen, kanton men and mabo ramen. Good on them for trying to cater to the Filipino taste. Their serving sizes are also pretty good. Given what you pay, it's a decent meal. (They've also set up shop in the food court of Gateway for takeout but I digress). Unfortunately, there isn't much else I can comment on concerning the rest of their menu. I really just go for the ramen. read more
