Offered $125 refund but wanted to keep $63 for I don't know reason. I should have read Negative Yelp Reviews before ordering from them! Part 2. I spent almost $100 on this order. Maybe your business didn't fulfill the order correctly. You may have change the flower but when it's not even close to what is pictured and the flowers are not in good shape this is unacceptable. I've had good service from this flower shop for several years until recently. I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentine's day on Feb 3rd. They debited my account on Feb 6th. The delivery was supposed to take place on the 14th at her place of employment during that business day or at our home if they were running behind. They failed to deliver on the 14th. When I called them on the 15th, I was advised that they were finishing their Valentines deliveries on that day. I told them that delivery on the 15th was not good enough. My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer this winter, and this may be our last Valentines day together. THEY BLEW IT. The "lady" seemed totally unconcerned. I told her to stop the delivery and reimburse my account. They obviously are in business only for profit and accepted more orders than they could deliver as promised. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! read more

I would not recommend Rae's Flower Shop to anyone. I received flowers from good friends in PA on my birthday on June 14, 2017. The flowers were delivered at around 6:30 p.m. There was a message left on my cell phone around that time. We were out of town for dinner so when we got home at around 8:30 p.m. I went to the front porch to get the flowers. There had been a box of chocolates with the order. The box of chocolates was lying on the front porch. I brought it all inside and opened the chocolate only to find ants crawling all over the chocolate. I called Rae's Flower Shop the next day and got no satisfaction whatsoever from talking with the owner Sheena. I told her that the delivery person should have taken the delivery to a neighbor's home since it was a hot day. But, that at the very least they should have made sure the box of chocolates were in the basket with the flowers. Sheena was pleasant enough, but offered no apology, just said that she would notify the wire service and have them take care of it. This was unacceptable so I sent a lengthy email to the flower shop, I did not know at the time that Sheena was the owner and was hoping that someone who cared would see the email. I stated again how the delivery person was responsible because they left chocolate out in the heat and also did not make sure it was sitting in the basket away from ants. There was ample room in the basket for the small box of chocolates. I called again today, June 16 at 4:30 p.m. to follow up on my email. Sheena again answered the phone. This time I asked if she was the owner and she said that she was. I again said that I thought they should take care of the situation because it clearly was their fault. She said well that is not how it works in the industry, that they contact the wire service and they handle it. So I asked if the wire service had sent the flowers and the chocolate to them and had them deliver them or if her shop had purchased the chocolate. She said that they had purchased the candy, but if they did not give it back to the wire service to handle that they would lose money on the chocolate. I again said that it was her flower shops fault that the chocolate was not secured in the basket, and that it was left out in the hear. She said that my place was 40 miles away, and I said to her that if that was a problem why did they not pass the delivery on to someone else for delivery. I said to her, "you are not going to do anything about this are you?" and she said no. I told her that I would not be recommending her flower shop to others. Now, I must add that the flowers are lovely and it is a small box of chocolates, however, she never admitted responsibility for the loss of the chocolates and she never offered an apology. We had the same experience with Rae's Flowers. Two years ago they didn't deliver the Valentine's Day flowers to my work place until 5:00 p.m. I was walking out the door when they came. This year my husband called them 2 weeks in advance (just to make sure they had plenty of lead time) for Valentine's day delivery and they didn't show up!!!! He was pretty upset. We were told that they could bring them the next day, they were just too busy........what's up with that? He ordered them 2 full weeks in advance. Get more staff for special occasions. My sister order flowers for me a couple of weeks ago, paid for them and received an email from Rae's confirming delivery! We didn't get the flowers! We called the shop only to be told that they didn't get the order. So if they didn't get the order why did my sister in Canada get an email confirming delivery? So we called the shop again and the woman on the other end of the phone was pretty rude. My sister (in Canada) called her too and again, no explanation or help, she told my sister that she already dealt with it with my husband........Nada. She was no help at all. My sister called a 800 Flowers number on the Rae's confirmation email and got an agent that was most helpful, turns out that Rae's doesn't deliver out where we are so they farmed out the order, but didn't tell my husband or my sister. Apparently the order was sitting in limbo, no one had picked it up off the system. The 800 number lady tracked down the order and immediately rectified the situation. This is not the type of service you want when you're ordering from a foreign country (or here) and paid $100.00 to get a rude person on the other end of the phone. Hence the one star. Rae's hire more people on special days for delivery and I think you won't get bad reviews. Don't take the money and not deliver.
