We hired Reggie's for our wedding ceremony and reception and met with a very friendly service representative to go over what we wanted for the wedding about a month before the ceremony. They assured us that everything we asked for would be ready for the wedding.
We asked for a price quote at our initial meeting and never received one even after multiple phone calls from both us and finally our wedding planner, thinking she might be able to get through to them. They never had an answer for us on how much the flowers would cost even up to the day before our wedding (or returned a call or responded to emails, only rarely answered the phone). One would think they could at least give us a quote if they have to "fly in flowers from around the world." Did they not have to pay for this shipments beforehand?
Onto the flowers themselves, at our initial meeting we gave them paint swatches, sample flowers and detailed descriptions of what we wanted. We also emailed them numerous pictures of everything they asked for: sample arrangements, bouquets, the wedding dress, even the cake which Reggie's florist had actually done the flower decorations on. My wife had her bridal portraits on a Friday and our wedding was that Sunday. When she went to pick up her bridal portrait bouquet, it was completely the wrong color. While the representative insisted that the color was "a shade on the color scale of what we wanted" there is no way a pale, dusky lavender, what would be considered a "cool" color, would be on the same scale as the warm, bright and vibrant pinks we had asked for and had provided multiple forms of media to represent. They looked like leftover funeral flowers! Who wants that for a bridal bouquet?
Even after explaining that this clearly wasn't what we had asked for, the representative didn't offer any solution other than they would try to change the colors for the wedding, but the ugly funeral purple was what they had ordered. They didn't even offer to try to fix her bridal portrait bouquet because "it would have to be completely reworked". My wife left in tears but thankfully went back and begged that they make the bouquet right even if she had to go pick it up an hour before her portrait shots since these are pictures to last a lifetime. They finally agreed to and said they would go through their email and "take another look" at the pictures we had sent to try to salvage our wedding day flowers. I doubt they ever looked at them to begin with since they had commented that "the computer had trouble loading them this morning".
Thankfully they were able to pull something together and give us flowers that were close to what we had originally asked for. But at what cost? The worst communication, loads of unnecessary stress on the weekend of our wedding, and no idea how much it would end up costing until the day of the wedding. The only reason why I didn't give 1 star was because they did finally try to fix things after my wife breaking down in front of them. I guess they could have just said they weren't doing them at all and left of flowerless, but that's the best I can say. read more
