Reanimated Bikes

From the owner: Für Deutsch unten scrollen!…read more Our legendary citybike - the Neubau (also the name of the seventh district in Vienna) half recycled - half new. We rescue bikes from being scraped and turn them into new, brisk and speedy bikes. Lighter attachment parts such as aluminum rims, easy shifting gears and reliable brakes make our bikes a pleasure to ride. Modifications for comfortable upright riding position also give you a better overview in city road traffic. A perfect bicycle to discover and enjoy the city of Vienna!

I understand that such problems can be caused by many different reasons, e.g. production errors, assembling mistakes as well as wrong usage of the bike. Therefore, if this is the case, in order to avoid further complications of the issues, both, the vendor and the client have to be patient and respecting each other until the problems are fixed. Summary: The next day after my review on 11th of July I received a call from Paolo from Roadbiker. He was as always friendly and he insistent bringing the bike one more time and give them a chance to fix it. I was welcomed as a costumer needs to be welcomed. Furthermore he kindly explained to me what could be the problem of the brakes and the pedals. Yesterday I was contacted by Paolo, and told that I can come to Roadbiker and pick up my bike. The results were: 1) Complete change of the brake system. Here it is worth to mention that the brakes were upgraded from Mechanical to Hydraulic disk brakes. Currently the brakes work well and I assume they will work even better after some kilometers of usage. 2) I was told that the sound from the pedals was coming from the bottom bracket. The same was, I assume, dissembled, lubricated and tighten up. Currently there is no sound coming and the pedals are moving smoothly. 3) I wasn't told about this, but it looks that there was a full check up of the bike: tires, kickstand and etc.. Thank you for this. Thanks to Roadbiker's team and special thanks to Paolo! Regards, Ayhan Mehmed ------------------ 2016-07-11 I tried a bike which I wanted to buy and after testing it I told him that something is wrong with the pedals and the brakes. He made me believe that they are fine and if there is any problem they will fix it. Well one week after buying the bike I went back to the shop with problems regarding three pedals and brakes. They gave it back to me without fixing anything. After another week I could not brake properly and I went back to them. This time they said that the disks are defect and they changed them with better ones. And since then every time I break the whole neighborhood wakes up since they make an incredible noise. Additionally when they made the disk change they didn't tide the wheel properly and it was a matter of chance that an accident did not happen until we realize that something is wrong. To sum up: 1) The brand of bikes they sell is a good, however for some reasons they don't build them well and after which they lie to client's face to sell them. 2) The shop owner cares only about the money. He can be nice until he sells the bike, but ones he sells it, he doesn't care about the client anymore. I would not recommend this store to anyone.

Plus, they make a really great sandwich to boot. The review doesn't need to be long to say the following. Some of the best coffee I've ever had. A fantastic sandwich both times we were there. The bikes (mostly refurbished) and parts that they sell are worthy of a bike museum. Quite possibly, my favorite thing about the whole city of Vienna.
