I was shocked how old it appeared to be. Everything in that locker room was old and dirty. What I especially did not like was the lack of easy steps into the lap pool. I found the ladder difficult to use in order to get out. I have a disability that limits mobility. The pool area was rather beat up and needs attention. I did not see the work out areas. I did notice the coffee maker in the lobby was broken. If this is the only YMCA you know you would not realize the comparable differences. We greatly anticipated our family time together. Another gentleman came to measure and told us it wasn't an appropriate place to put the pool. Therefore, we had paid for a tree and stump removal (a cost not anticipated) and chose another spot which required re-doing our deck as well (a cost not anticipated). We've enjoyed the pool as well as our children but now our heat pump doesn't work... You sold us a heat pump that cannot be serviced except by one person from Constantia that does not travel to Rome frequently. That is wild to me- The warranty representative has been very kind but when I called your corporate office the person I spoke with was less than helpful and never introduced himself. He left more dead air than speaking. In a time when we work so hard for our money I'm just so disappointed with the service. We didn't buy a shirt at the store, we invested in a pool. We invested in your company that we trusted. We hoped that your company would help us enjoy this as a family for decades.

I would not recommend Rome Pool and Spa based on my experience…read more Initially, I was very disappointed with the poor communication that occurred leading up to the installation of my liner. They then installed a new liner in my pool, but during the installation my pool frame was damaged. After discovering the damage, I immediately contacted them to notify them of the damage. The management (Beth) was unreceptive to request to assess the damage and I made multiple requests to attempt to rectify the situation by repeatedly asking to have them come back and assess the issue. Rather than taking the time to inspect what happened, they were dismissive and unprofessional throughout the entire process. Instead of accepting any responsibility or even investigating the damage, they blamed the winter weather, suggesting that leek and fold in the frame following the liner installation, was a result of rust never brought to my attention and winter wear and tear. Those explanations made little sense given the circumstances, and they seemed more interested in avoiding responsibility than helping resolve the problem. especially since a new liner should never leak. Good customer service doesn't end when the job is finished--it includes standing behind your work if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this company refused to cooperate in any meaningful way or work toward a fair resolution. If you're looking for a company that stands behind its workmanship and treats customers professionally after the sale, this was not my experience.
