It wasn't my first one, as I had my first one at their Venice location in 2014. Both locations are clean. neatly decorated, and fully staffed. You never have to wait for your appointment long, which is nice. The front desk staff is not overly friendly but they aren't rude either. I was in and out as quick as possible and had my results in two days. I would recommend RAVE as they have 3D mammograms at the Venice location and better technology could mean early detection.

The 2 stars are for decent parking and the on-site experience…read more-- bare bones, but the techs were nice when I went there for both mammogram and ultrasound, and got me through quickly. If you care about communicating with them on any level, I'd pick somewhere else. Making an appointment is a huge pain, because you have to call and go through some central customer service center, no matter what number you call, and there is always a lengthy hold time (although they will call you back). You'd think a massive company like this would have a similar setup to Quest allowing online booking, if you can't reach the specific location directly. Also takes a while to get in. Good luck if you have any questions later or need to either get them old records to refer to or get a copy of your scans from them. Calling gets you the long hold time and then the scheduling people, who of course have no info outside of that. After a long conversation, the rep said she'd have someone at the location call me back, which they never did. I got locked out of my patient portal account and sent multiple messages to their tech help desk, never heard back or was able to get back in. I tried *three times* to get them old records, once authorizing them to contact my previous facility, the others involving me speaking with the facility. They were either never received or not uploaded -- hard to tell which, as you can't talk to anyone, but when I got a copy for myself I received them in 3 days, so the issue is at the Akumin end somewhere. I needed to get copies of my scans & reports from them, spoke with someone at the central number yet again, said I'd pick up from this location in 3 days. Ended up delayed on that, so they even had additional time to deal with it, yet when I showed up there was nothing waiting for me. Fortunately, it wasn't busy at the time and I had 15 minutes to hang out while they burned a CD and printed things out. Aaaaand just received a results letter from them regarding a scan in MARCH -- it is now JUNE. The content of the letter is also only partially correct. Won't be going back unless my insurance gives me no other option.

No one ever likes getting poked or prodded but yearly screenings are essential for good health. I…read morehad skipped a year and a half because of Covid so I had to get some diagnostic testing done. I came here for a mammogram and a bone density test. I checked in and in no time I was called to go in. The technician was very knowledgeable, kind, and gentle. I finished with the first test they had me go for the second! I highly recommend Manatee Diagnostic Center and will happily go back for yearly screenings. The place is so clean and bright and the staff is outstanding. Going to a new place is a bit uncomfortable but they put me at ease and earned my trust with their expertise. 5 stars! 11/30/21

She waited more than an hour with no luck. The staff were friendly, apologized and even called at home to apologize after she rescheduled. Second appointment went smooth with receptionists and techs friendly and helpful. As she was leaving, the tech gave Mrs. Nibbler a gift card to make up for the computer problem during the first visit. Never heard of that happening at any medical office and the gesture was appreciated. This team really cares.

This business appears to still be following the old practice of denying the report to the patient until after they get around to sending it to the Doc. Imaging outfits need to accommodate what the Doc wants, not the other way around. The patient has no control. So, no business to UDI.
