Honestly, I'm not entirely sure where to start. My husband and I got married here on Sept.17th and…read moreit was PERFECT! Our guests were all talking about how beautiful the venue was. The space is truly beautiful! I grew up in the Pittsburgh area and pricing was INSANE, I was doing a quick search on the knot to find venues relatively local in our price range. I was totally convinced we were going to choose somewhere else that I found on the knot but scheduled this tour just in case. I was BLOWN AWAY at what all was offered for the price. The venue is pretty inclusive. All I needed to worry about was choosing a recommended vendors off of their list, which I might add were all affordable. The venue comes with a coordinator (Stefanie); she was AMAZING! The bar came already staffed and supplied. Our bar tender (Penny) was the cutest and most kind little human I've ever met. Our guests were talking for days after the wedding about just how wonderful she was. I truly couldn't have asked for a better wedding day or wedding venue. (They are also dog friendly! We had our dog Sadie as a bridesmaid, and it was amazing.)

It has a nice little well stocked Pro shop and Bar/Dining room area with a banquet area upstairs. It's really good for weddings because they have a nice deck with a great view of the course. They also do a good job of keeping the clubhouse and course in Great shape.

Where to begin. This is the most expensive of the 7 IHG hotels in a 30 mile radius. Holiday Inn may…read morenot be their flagship brand, but it's in the top 3. The price is a full standard deviation higher than the other sister brands. It ain't worth the money. It's KITTANNING for crying out loud! A $115 a night hotel should be palatial. Say what you want about masks, if it is company policy to wear them, compliance becomes part of the brand. Signs all over the place requiring masks. Front desk staff are not wearing masks. Hey management, grow a pair and either enforce your policy or tear down the signs. They still charge full price during the pandemic, yet NO HOUSEKEEPING and no hot breakfast. Not even sure if they had more than 3 total employees on duty. Obviously IHG or the franchisee has figured out how to print money during the pandemic. Although there are promises of cleanliness throughout the hotel, the facts prove otherwise. The cutest little sleeve was on the TV remote, yet it felt so greasy I had to wipe it off with a towel. In the refrigerator was the half consumed remains of food fof some previous guest. Insects in the shower seemed to be having a good time. When such a great disparity between the corporate brand promise and guest experience occurs, it damages the the brand. In this market, IHG could dominate, but not like this. The staff was friendly and while there is always room for improvement, I had no complaints with the way they handled my stay. Business is a reflection of Management. My review says it all.

This hotel is under a different name now - the Kittanning Plaza Hotel. But you can definitely tell…read moreit was a big chain hotel at one point. It's in a fairly quiet location right near a Walmart and some fast food. The hotel itself seemed clean and the girl at the front desk was nice. The rooms are standard for hotels. It was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. Biggest issue with this location is the price. Kittanning is nowhere near anything remotely fun to do and is a good 40 minutes to Pittsburgh. I'm not sure why this place is priced so high. The only reason I can see anyone staying here is if they are visiting family in the town or if they are traveling through and are just exhausted. Okay, but not great, especially for the price.

They researched, emailed, called, collected proposals, and vetted every vendor before presenting us options. They handled all communication and coordination with vendors all the way up to the wedding day. These two have such a feel for design. They used colors, textures, lighting, and accents to create the overall "modern boho, earthy vibe", we envisioned. They captured the very essence of our personalities, it was literally "so us!" Our favorite part of the planning process was our dinner & drinks where we hung out for hours catching up and discussing wedding plans. We became genuine friends throughout our time working together. They were always a text or call away. Sarah even saved the day when 2 vendors backed out, due to covid, a week before the wedding. A situation that would have made any couple breakdown, Sarah was quick to suggest solutions and had everything back on track by the end of the day!! Everything they did was absolutely above and beyond. Everything they touched turned to gold. IRIE was worth every cent we spent.
