It is my sixth year as a member at Aspria and today I regret the fact that there has been no…read moresignificant investment since new management came in 2011 or 2012. The pool needs a complete refurbishment: tiles are missing, there are very bad smells, steam room and showers are in ruins. Aspria is planning to refurbish them but I think a deeper renovation needs to take place. As far as the fitness room is concerned there are too few bikes and elliptic machines for the number of members. In addition, screens on some of them are broken. The carpets are dirty and not very hygienic. Recent renovations are mainly small fixes (new paint on some parts of the walls and sofas in fabric which make little sense since many sit on them with their wet bathing suits). I would not recommend signing up as prices are too high. Wait and see what management does... Team (especially reception team and the lady cleaning up the ladies' changing rooms) are very nice.

She has a real understanding of body mechanics and can be as strong or as gentle as you need, which she intuitively knows as she treats each area of your body. Very highly recommended!!

I really and truly wanted to go to classes as Rock is making you work hard, encourages you to push your limits but always in a nice atmosphere and always paying attention so you workout well and do not hurt yourself. Each class is a different combination of technique and exercises that you learn and then practice in workouts. Classes are only done in small groups which is so much better in my opinion. People coming quickly become regulars which shows how good the place is. After only a few weeks you will find yourself with a lot more strength, endurance, and even a better general posture in daily life (I thought so!). I was sad to leave the gym when I left Brussels!

Michael is a great teacher and his classes are authentic; he has found the perfect balance between relaxation and challenging postures. He creates a safe environment where one experiment and discover his limits, both physical and mental. I have attended both his Hatha and Vinyasa classes; an inhale of positive energy and a long exhale of physical and mental stress after a long day. He also organises retreats both in Belgium and abroad, as well as workshops. If there was a six star, Pop Up Yoga would definitely get it.
