This cosy and not too big studio is a real gem for ashtanga practitioners. I love going there for the never-boring vinyasa classes with friendly and very competent teachers. What's better than doing some work with your body and mind after a long day at work? There are lots of additional workshops available, and in the summer, the Sunday practice in the park gives an extra boost to the weekend. All this at absolutely affordable prices (90 EUR for ten classes, special prices for workshops). read more

As a total yoga rookie, I was a tad nervous for my first experience. However, nerves were immediately calmed when I walked into The Yoga Loft's relaxing, serene studio. They were very detailed in explaining each pose and hands-on when necessary-- which was essential for a newbie like me! They did a wonderful job in challenging me without making me feel out of my league. The Yoga Loft is awesome! read more

Unfortunately, despite the pictures online this yoga 'studio' is actually an apartment. When I went it was so crowded i had 'practice' in the hall. It was extremely stuffy there, seeing as its not a real studio. My teacher was also rude because I was a few minutes late. The yoga exercises were not very challenging and I wouldn't recommend it. They also don't take anything but cash and will charge you a euro if you have to borrow a mat (lame). read more

This is a small and very nicely kept studio for Ashtanga practice in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. Teachers are very patient, there is always time and space for any question you might have. Classes take place every day, and I really appreciate that there is no need to register, one can always arrive unannounced. Besides, keep it a secret ;-) because more and more people share the nice spirit and classes are nearly always full. Payment on-site is easy with a straightforward card system (drop-in, cards for 5 or for 10 classes). read more

History

Established in 2006.

We created the Yoga Loft originally from the Loft of our home. The purpose was then and continues to be a place to bring yogis together and create a community where those who love the Ashtanga practice can gather in a warm, friendly, serene, and relaxed yogic environment. We feel proud that after two years, we moved out of the home to create a new home for our Loft and the Ashtanga yoga community. We feel even more proud in what this provides, which is keeping alive the vision of community and spirit, felt immediately with every smiling face that enters the studio. Here is a place to de-stress, unwind, relax, rejuvenate, meet friends and like minded fun-loving yogis.

The Yoga Loft primarily offers classes in the Ashtanga Vinyasa style of yoga. All our yoga classes are suitable for beginner and advanced yogis of all ages and levels of health, fitness, and athleticism. Please see our class descriptions in the right hand navigation to find the perfect class for you. Our yoga classes are typically 60 or 90 minutes long.

Everything is put together to make you feel at ease, the colours of the wall, the tea prepared by the teachers, the big smile they have when they welcome you. No doubt there are some very good vibes floating around. I personally find their registration process very easy and their communications fluid and beautiful. They teach different type of yogas, including pre- and post-natal and they welcome all levels (that means they remain friendly to me despite my appalling level). Classes are taught in English. Over the years I have spent many weeks and weekend in Brussels for work and I always end up finding great class with great teachers at the Yoga Loft. Their new studio is amazing, spacious with very high ceilings and at the same time the atmosphere is cosy and warm. My absolute favorite thing about going to their lasses are the very hands on teachers tat really know their stuff. They have helped me countless time to just slightly tweak a pose which made a huge impact on my practice every time. I guess this is what one would call the personal touch. The teachers know their students by name and there is usually a fresh pot of free tea and a few yogis ready for a chat in the chill room. I absolutely love going to the Yoga Loft on my short stays in Brussels and highly recommend this gem of a yoga studio. read more

I was really new to yoga and was still recovering from a dislocated shoulder when I went to the studio. They were really helpful in giving me moves and positions to help stretch out my shoulder.
