The previous time many years ago when he was first starting, and even then his good character and business sense stood out to me. It's probably why I reached out to him again. Growing up as a "cop's daughter" sometimes my second-hand jadedness towards seemingly good character arouses my doubts. But if Jared is not genuine then I don't know who is. My grandfather was a general contractor, and I myself worked for a medium-sized commercial contractor for a short while so I am somewhat familiar with the challenges in organizing the work, including managing subcontractors. Jared's communication and management style is such a breath of fresh air. You just want to get behind his local business and see it continue to grow. Communicating to some of the general contractors in and outside the Corvallis-Albany-Salem area as the pandemic winds down, I now think the safer bet is to go big with Thayer Construction when the time comes. Just get all the jobs and remodeling done at once with him or not at all.

We requested a certain type of roofing which he was able to order during the pandemic and to our complete satisfaction gave us what we wanted. Not an easy task when you're looking at small samples so he brought us larger samples. We have had a fall and winter of rain, snow and wind and the roof performance has been great and the gutter leaks were fixed.
