I took my 9-year-old dog in for her annual physical, expecting the thorough exam we've received in the past. Instead, the vet simply handed her a treat and asked if I had any concerns--there was no physical exam whatsoever. No skin check, no ear inspection, no dental look, not even a stethoscope placed on her chest. She never laid a hand on my dog. The vet then took my dog to the back for bloodwork. When a vet tech brought her back, I asked, "That's it? No ear or heart check?" His response: "That's it." I was then charged $129 for what was labeled as an "exam and bloodwork." I've since heard from others in the community that this clinic has changed significantly, and unfortunately, I now feel I've fallen victim to what seems like a disappointing money grab. The standard of care has dropped, and it feels like integrity has taken a backseat to profit. I won't be returning--and I urge others to look elsewhere for a veterinary clinic that values both your pet's health and your trust.

Can't get into a vet as new patient right away it takes 2 to 3 weeks even in vt and Boston, I called over 59 vets. Luckly between Caves and Henniker vet Hospital our Bunny finally showing improvement now, but for three days his life was in the balance. He still have slight head tilt but able to eat and drink and get around now on his own. He is off most of his meds but will be taking one med for another 2 weeks. I've been doing much of the intensive care at home including demand syringe feeding and lots of meds. I don't want this to happen to any other small animals make sure your vet will take them in an emergency. Because your fur babies depend on you.

Meg, the facility owner and host, gives boarding pets the equivalent of recess time -- she lets them out of their playpens one at a time so that they can wander around the common area and look out the windows at the free range chickens who roam the yard.
