He initially looked at the layout and took photos and gave suggestions on the design and layout. Throughout the project he made sure that everything was done properly and if it wasn't then he would correct it. He works with a very good plumber, carpenter and tile specialist. Ray is a good electrician, he installed a new electric panel and did all the wiring and lights. However, it was a challenge to meet the timeline of the project so keep that in mind if you have a strict timeline. The project took 3 times longer to complete than expected. Overall we are satisfied with the work.

Some because…read morehe was a friend of the family, but mostly because I was waiting and hoping he would finally fix what has broken or never been done. Since that hasn't happened in at least 6 months since the renovation was completed, and after countless attempts to get them here, I'm going to give my honest review. My renovation, which started 4 months late, was an absolute nightmare. From the demolition team that stole my appliances off my lawn and knocked down the wrong wall, to the plumbers who continually screwed up, didn't show up or failed inspections it was hell. I know renovations can be difficult, especially when you are living in the home while the work is being done, but the workers that my contractor used were horrible. The plumbers dumped raw sewage in my backyard, constantly made mistakes that cost us time, caused failed inspections, and eventually had to be redone. There's paint peeling off my walls in the bathrooms and the kitchen, door saddles that are still not glued down, sink hardware that was put in crooked and is now broken, and plumbing that still isn't done. Ray Zuchowski was constantly canceling or not showing up to do electrical work and kept reminding us we were a "budget job." On a positive note, his helpers Pete and Victor were great! They went above and beyond us, ALWAYS showed up, and got the job done. If it weren't for them, I would have totally lost my mind! Now, Ray is going to say that he made everything right by replacing the appliances that were stolen, to countlessly apologizing for the plumbers, it does not negate the depression and anxiety that the renovation caused us. I am truly sorry I had to write this review, but I don't want anyone else to go through what we went through. PICTURES: Nail-pops in ceiling, *Un-caulked edges of tub/shower. *Seams not sealed. *Peeling/cracked paint *Drywall dust and fragments, paint chips visible on top edge of shower stall. *Outside edges of tub and floor trim not caulked.

Ian of Klem's off as a nice guy but upon finishing day 1 of his drywall aka sheet rock work, it is…read moreclear he is not the contractor you want to depend on. He showed up without the most simplistic tool required, the razor knife aka utility knife which is needed to cut the sheets of new drywall. He texted me asking if he could borrow mine upon arrival... wow. I obviously was nice and agreed so we could hopefully start getting our new home back together from a recent water damage insurance claim that collapsed our living room ceiling and damaged the wall as well. That should have been our sign of concern. I left for 2 hours and came back and he was acting exhausted which triggered me to now help him hang my own new drywall for our celing panels. I literally held each of the three sheets for him and then watched him miss the screws to the joists about 30% of the time, adding additional holes he would have to spackle in the near future. His drywall sheet cuts and trimming gaps between the panels to our existing walls' drywall were massive, multiple points were 1-2 inches in width! We have photographs to prove this. Per my other different contractors who have reviewed the work for new quotes, advised they are too large for simply taping and mudding aka spackling them in. They said the work looked rushed and half-hazard. We had three other contractors recommend I stop his work and just tear his 5 sheets worth of work back down and start over since it was so early in the job. So he was only 5-6 hours on day 1 into this job. Ian Klementovic, the owner, initially agreed to go to his bank that weekend to get us our refund and has since delayed and added "attorney review" tactics before considering to refund if at all. This is now 2 weeks later and I have all of his communications documented on text messages to prove his crazy communications and constant changing of his mind and his thought processes. We initially offered that he keep $100 which more than covered the materials he started with and he could round up to $200 to be nice. However, the remainder of our job deposits should be returned so we can hire someone more skilled and would take more time to get us towards a better finished product. We are now filing in district court in the next 2 days since he had until today to get us our refund from the day of work 9/11/2021 and it's now 9/25/2021. AGAIN... These are pictures from our drywall aka sheet rock "repairs" that began after our water damage occurred in our new home. These pics are started work pictures taken of the owner of Klem's Construction LLC, Ian Klementovic's, actual work after his first 1/2 day shift. His argument and "professional" opinion and result of him hanging drywall are in these pics. He felt that these gaps and seams were okay and that we would be fine once he mudded aka filled them in with plaster?! We fired him after his first 4-6 hour shift after these results to ensure he did not continue any further half-hazard work like these gaps in the sheet rock. We've had 5 other home improvement professionals advise us that we made a smart decision.

We had a lot of hope of working with John, to take care of certain things in our apartment. He came…read moreover to check everything out right away, and then said that he would send a proposal with the Estimate. And that is when we waited, and waited the first time. My husband texted him a few times, to make sure he had the correct email address. When that didn't work, I texted him and then finally found an email for him and sent a sternly worded email to him. Finally I was able to get an answer back, and after a little bit longer had gotten the proposal. We had to send it to our landlords for approval, and once we had that we sent it back to John to get things moving. That was sometime around July I believe. I did understand that he was working on other projects, and tried to respect that. So I didn't overload him with messages or emails. But when sometime went by, and we hadn't heard anything. I sent I believe two more emails to him asking when we can finally get our stuff done as we did everything he had asked. And we have heard nothing from him, it is 11-20-25 today. I think I sent the last email in beginning of Oct. And nothing, nothing at all. He apparently I have figured decided not to help us, and just forgot to let us know. All I can figure is our project was too small, not as exciting I am sure as other projects he might get. If you need something done quick, and not too complicated don't bother with him. He doesn't communicate, and he doesn't bother to tell you when he has decided not to handle your project taking months out of your time in which you could have been reaching out to someone else to help you.
