I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Leanna at RAD Barbershop. From the moment I sat down, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. Her demeanor and customer service were exceptional. Throughout the entire haircut, Leanna consistently checked in, asked questions, and made sure everything was looking the way I wanted. She made it very clear that my haircut wasn't just another appointment, and that I was a customer whose satisfaction genuinely mattered to her. That kind of attention and care really stands out. I asked for an undercut with a vintage rockabilly-inspired style along with a beard trim, and the results went well beyond my expectations. Leanna is extremely talented, and she absolutely nailed the look I was going for. Great haircut, great beard trim, and outstanding customer service. I would absolutely recommend Leanna to anyone looking for a barber who is both highly skilled and genuinely cares about her customers. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Love being able to make an appointment. Service is stellar, worked on my beard and hair for an hour, can't believe how much improved it looks. Staff is top notch, will be back read more

What a great find! Very cool atmosphere and wonderful haircut. I will come back again.

Cool spot with very nice people, but I asked for a beard trim and let the barber know I was wanting to grow it out and wanted them to err on the side of removing less hair. Unfortunately, they undid close to 4 months of growth. Put my cheek line much lower than I wanted it. I'll shave it down and start again but a bit annoying read more

I love this place. Reasonable prices, bomb haircuts. I went in today, and saw a different barber than usual, but it's the best haircut I've had in my whole life. Katie is an awesome barber And this place is cool. But not like, cool in a way that makes you feel like you aren't cool enough to be there, like some barber shops I've been to. It's cool in a laid back kind of way. You want to talk, and the barbers are all dope ass people. You don't want to talk, then you don't have to worry about some cheesy ass small talk, because everyone is just awesome. If you're looking for a good barber in a chill environment, this is the place. It's why I drive like 45 minutes just to get a haircut. read more

Have been going to RAD for YEARS! Take all my kids here. They are fantastic with kids, beard trims, straight razor shave and get a beer while there. read more

Patrick cut my hair. One of the best hair cuts I've ever had. It was fire. My first time and I'll be coming back for my next cut. I didn't make an appointment but he got me in and cut my hair before his next cut. Nice vibe that's modern but old Barber shop feel. over all an excellent place read more

I've been to Rad a few times over the years and it had been a few weeks since I had a haircut. My hair has been getting weirdly long in areas and I've been wearing a hat to hide a lot of it. Today I had my hair cut by someone new; Patrick. He asked me several questions to really identify what I thought I wanted, which really can be a challenge because I don't normally know, I really just wanted to grow it all out. After it was cut and looking in the mirror, it was a real relief. It looked great! Really great! It's actually the way I've always wanted it cut but never knew how to explain it! I'm very happy! Thank you Patrick! Hopefully I can get my hair cut by you from now on! read more

We love this funky little Barber shop. The Barbers are chatty & friendly and they do a great job. A couple things I love: their online reservation system -- super user friendly! Jon is crazy fast & soooo good! We have been getting my son's haircut for years & it always took 30+ minutes. Jon takes 10-15mins tops! So glad I found this place! It came highly recommended in several moms groups. read more

Excellent. I've been going to Sport Clips usually. They were OK. But I wanted to try a more local place business. So I walked in to RAD. They were booked for the day, but offered to set an appointment for tomorrow. That's when Katie stepped in. Said she could fit in a hair cut. Great hair cut. RAD and Katie are now my go-to choice. Great work, good price. read more

I actually started going to Carmyn before there was a Carmyn's... Yes it's true, she was at another barber shop before breaking out on her own in 2010, and now I would follow her anywhere she may go. I never really would have said i was particular with my hair, i'm a guy, i really didn't care. I've always hated haircuts and will never understand why women love to spend hours getting their hair done. What i can say is I'm so thankful for Carmyn's ability and her personality, really, she's fantastic in both categories. So here is my story on why i won't let anyone else cut my hair (or at least no one from another barber shop, pending emergencies): I found Carmyn because I REALLY needed a hair cut and i had a date that i needed to get ready for, a larger chain said on its door it was going to open at noon so i left did somethings for myself and returned to find the door still locked, I was pissed that my 15 min hair cut had turned into an hour and half ordeal and the lights of the shop hadn't even turned on yet and i haven't seen one pair of scissors. For the two years prior to this i had driven by a barber shop even closer than the chain.. I even passed it three times that day, waiting for the chain to open. Pretty much because i had a coupon (or some other 'good' reason i can't think of). Since i work mostly with small business I said to myself, "Self, why on earth would you not help a local small business?" Not being able to find a decent excuse, off i was to my local barber.. Carmyn, all alone and waiting for a customer could tell i was having a bad day, so she offered me a beer! :-) I accepted and told her to do whatever she'd like to my hair (i've never told her how to cut my hair actually) and she went to work. Not only was it easily the best my hair has ever looked, but chatting with Carmyn and sharing stories while she took her time to make sure i looked my best was amazing. I decided at that point, i've found my barber! Since that day Carmyn left the shop around the corner, and i still happily drive a little farther to give her my business. She's a wonderful person and she is very skilled at what she does. Frankly, i like her barber shop FAR better than the one where i met her! It's clean, it's comfortable, and i know the owner ;-) Thank you Carmyn, i hope you read this some day. read more

Everyone working is always very nice from the moment you get there until the moment you leave. They're full of information and more importantly, experience! You're offered something to drink as soon as you get checked in and sometimes they'll have donuts for you as well. They take there time on giving you a proper haircut and they will even give you a proper shave. It's a fun yet relaxing environment. They can be very conversational but if that's not your thing then they can be quiet, whatever peels your banana. I highly recommend this barber shop. read more

You can't beat a place that has peanuts, soda, beer, Maxim magazine while you get a haircut! Carmyn is the most genuine person on earth who works hard with her own business to making people happy with simple haircuts. When I get back to Mizzou, Carmyn's is the spot for all fun. Oh yeah, free mustache and goatee trims! Like them on Facebook for a $2 discount. Come on guys! Playboy, Maxim, Penthouse while drinking soda and eating peanuts to get a simple haircut....PRICELESS! read more

Amazing barber shop! These guys always get it right no matter the cut. Fair prices. Definitely recommended

Carmyn was a lifesaver. I arrived in St. Charles for my daughters MBA graduation and I looked really shaggy. I read the reviews and tried Carmyns as a walk in. It was early in the day and I was able to slide in in short order. I was delighted with the cut, conversation and the price. I had been paying Thirty plus bucks back home in Memphis - this was half the price. Highly recommend. read more

Carmyn's is awesome. I'm picky about haircuts and Carmyn delivers consistently good haircuts, so it's the only place I go. I have happily recommended Carmyn's to friends and they keep coming back happily too. Also - free beer and candy :) read more

I had been looking for a place to get my beard taken care of and after reading reviews I decided to give them a try. Even with 5 star reviews and high expectations I was completely impressed. Not only are they a talented and customer focused shop but they create a relaxed and fun environment. I highly recommend you give them a try. Reya and Jon made a loyal customer out of me. read more

Traveled from California to St. Louis and was looking for a good barber shop. Carmyn's was the place. I was not familiar with the area and relied up reviews by other customers. I lucked out. Carmyn and Heather were super polite, outgoing and friendly. Heather did a great job! The shop offers customers free coffee and doughnuts - then in the afternoon (or morning too ;) ) free beer!!!! Definitely recommend! read more

John does my hair and he makes me look good. He takes his time and does it the old fashioned way. He even uses a straight razor and shaving cream to clean up the little hairs. Highly recommend! read more

I was visiting the area from Southern California and was in need of a haircut. I went to RAD Barber Shop and was glad I did. I showed Retna, (I think that was her name ... sorry I forgot your name) a picture of the type of haircut I wanted and she matched it up perfectly. The place has a cool vibe too. I do travel here a lot on business and I will for sure come back for another haircut. Ask for the girl whose name starts with an "R" ... which may or not be Retna. If her name is not Retna, she should change it because she has an eye for hair. read more

Stopped in with no notice and lucked out!! Carmyn is very talented and friendly. She did a wonderful job cutting my son's hair. She took him from extra shaggy to trim and proper in no time. We will definitely stop in whenever we are in town. read more

Amazing job with my cut. The ladies up there really know what they're doing. Coming from a family of hairstyling and barbers, they are polite, professional and take pride in their work. The small shop Is welcoming and comfortable. I'm absolutely making this my permanent shop, props to Christina for the amazing cut. read more

Carmyn's is the place to be. They aren't a bar. They aren't a smoke-show shop. If you're looking to get a great haircut, this is your place! Great friendly environment with barbers that will remember you and your cut. If you're looking for a classic quality men's cut for a great price, call, walk in, ask for John!!! This should be one of the community's better salons due to the personable staff and speed of service. Clean establishment and refreshments are available. Recommend to all! read more

John rocks! He took his time on my husband's hair, listened to what he wanted done and executed it perfectly.

Lived in St. Charles a few years following my wife around to salons. Waste of time and money. Finally got fed up and read yelp reviews. Carmyn's was highly rated and rightly so. By far, the best haircut I've had in years. Quite the craftsman. Had to move again for work. Now I've got to find a new barber in a new town. Carmyn set the bar pretty high. Doubt I'll find one in her league. read more
