Well, where can I start? Kat gets it! I explained what I wanted and what I didn't want to do to get it. I wanted style without having to actually style. Kat got that. There was the usual chit-chat between hairstylist and customer, but what I appreciated most was that Kat basically gave me an education on my own curly-ish hair and anticipated my arguments for not wanting to try or put effort into something new. She kept the styling basic. Everything she did to make my hair look great was something I was willing to try. She even gave me the clips she used to give me some lift. And... you all.... she introduced me to the rolling hooded hairdryer. I searched for them online and also discovered bonnet dryers. I just don't think my life will ever be the same. My hair will never take half a day to dry again! Regular blowdrying my hair is a thing I'm not willing to put effort into. Kat also introduced me to what diffusers do. Impressive invention, it is. When the 'final product' was basically ready, she started envisioning and explaining how my hair could be styled for special events. I've never seen or heard that kind of vision from any other stylist. Side note: I saw what she did with the client before me and I secretly want that for my hair, but I'm going to live vicariously through that person because I imagine it takes a lot to have that style. Loved my hair experience here with Lily! I wanted to get rid of my leftover blonde balayage that was getting brassy and found Lily after doing my research. Lily is an incredible hair stylist -- she is knowledgeable, talented, understanding, funny, and easy to talk to. Michaela is the absolute best! I have been getting my hair done by her for years. She always listens to what I want and always goes above and beyond with results. I have gone bright blonde with her and she always kept the health of my hair in mind. She is super professional and always responds with any questions I may have. They recently reopened after the COVID shut down. They are taking all measures to ensure their clients are safe. They sanitize all tools and chairs before your visit. They had me sanitize and checked my temperature as I walked in. Stylist are 6ft apart. Both clients and stylists are wearing a mask at all times. There is a barrier on the washer bowls and were sanitized after each guest. Michaela even sanitized her phone so I could sign after paying. The salon is so cute and clean and doesn't seem to get overly crowded to where you can't hear your hairdresser talk and and its perfect.
