Visited Dillards today to shop for a special occasion dress for my teenager for her graduation…read more Roxanne was very friendly and helpful. She personally assisted us with shopping for appropriate dresses for a 8th Grader. Unfortunately we did not find a perfect fit, however, the selection at Dillards for evening gowns and Special Occasions is tremendous. I appreciate the fact they dedicated a portion of the store to Juniors sizes. Many of the other department stores have gotten rid of Juniors/ Misses and have merged styles with Women's clothing. Dillards has an abundance of designers, I just wish the price tags were reasonable.

So far, I cannot complain much. But…read more.. It's got a wide array of suits, shirts and so on, but there are definite imperfections. For instance, I needed a formal black tie suit and a casual jacket outfit for a gala in July. The employee Javi was personable and knowledgeable, helping me put together colors, textures, et. al. And yet, a place of this obvious capability did not have a black shirt in my size. I only wear 17.5 by 34. A black shirt. This was a shirt I promptly and effortlessly purchased at Brooks Brothers later on. But Jos couldn't handle it? A simple black shirt? And then, they had to order a white shirt for me because they didn't have one of those either. A simple white shirt? Seriously? That's embarrassing. I am presently waiting a couple weeks for all alterations (some of which they were late with) and that one shirt to come in. Overall, it was a fine experience, leaving me with a great ensemble, but when they show their shortcomings, those shortcomings do shine. A.

Very unprofessional experience at Jos. A. Bank. The staff…read moreacted like they didn't want to be there they were openly complaining about work and ignored customers for long periods. I stood waiting for assistance and was completely overlooked while employees talked among themselves. For a store that's supposed to specialize in professional clothing, the service was anything but professional. Definitely disappointing and not worth returning. The African American gentleman working there is a dick who just openly ignores you and pawns his work off onto other employees. Won't be returning

After two disappointing visits to the South Congress Tecovas in Austin, I wasn't sure what to…read moreexpect when I walked into the Raleigh store on a Friday around 5 PM. But from the moment Colin greeted us, I could tell this was going to be different--and it absolutely was. Colin, who had visited the South Congress location before, told us right away that this experience would be on a whole other level. He also gave us a heads-up that weekends tend to get busy, so we were lucky to catch him on a quieter weekday afternoon. The store itself was exactly what you'd hope for: a bit of Texas hospitality right here in North Carolina. Clean, well-organized, and welcoming. The vibe had that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern polish, and everything felt curated and intentional. Now, I knew going in that I was going to have an uphill battle--being a size 14 tends to make boot shopping a challenge--but Colin handled it like a pro. The 14s were too big, the 13s too tight, and the 13 wides were close but not quite right. Colin patiently walked me through every option, explaining fit and sizing nuances along the way. At no point did I feel rushed, pressured, or like I was a burden. When I joked about being high maintenance, he just smiled and said, "With boots, you have to be," and made it clear he totally understood. We spent some time chatting about other Tecovas stores he's worked in, and he even offered me a beer while we talked--classic Texas hospitality in action. He took the time to explain how the online shopping and return process might actually be the best route for my situation, which I really appreciated. The whole experience felt like a conversation, not a sales pitch. I never felt like I was wasting his time or that he was pushing me to walk out with something just for the sake of a sale. Sure, I left empty-handed this time, but I left with something more valuable: a real appreciation for the Tecovas brand and their people. I'll definitely be back when I'm ready to make a purchase--and next time, I'll bring my boot-buying patience and maybe even accept that beer. Pro tip: If you want the full Tecovas experience without the crowd, aim for a weekday visit.
