I even see much younger than my toddler at this class. A lot different activities that I believe to stimulate their ability to recognizing the melody or whatsoever. The teachers are also very nice and friendly, always greet us with songs. Lol. In the class room we follow some activities lead by the teachers. They explained to us what it will stimulate. She has so much patience…read moreand always has such a positive approach which keeps both my girls very engaged and eager to learn. They both have come so far in such a short time and continue to grow in skills after each class. The best part is that they enjoy it!! Thanks to Janice, my girls have the gift of music to carry on as they keep growing and learning. She is flexible with time and always is willing to adjust when I need to due to my crazy schedule as a full time working mom which is a plus and such a help to me. Her teaching method has a lot of positive reinforcement which keeps my 5 year old even more engaged even when she makes mistakes and because of that my little one is not afraid to make mistakes and works harder to get better to show Janice that she can do it and get better. Keeping a 5 year old engaged and consistently growing in skills takes a lot and because of that I know she's the perfect fit for my girls. My 9 yr old loves her teaching style as well and is enjoying piano more than she ever imagine she would. I can't wait to see how far along both girls become in their skills. Thank you Janice for all your hard work !!

I have studied with her for over 15 consecutive years, and I could not ask for a better teacher and mentor. With great detailed attention to teaching piano pieces, techniques, ear-training, and theory, Dr. Shen has worked with me to help cultivate my skills as much as possible, and she has even helped me place as a finalist in several piano competitions and festivals, from my early years even to more advanced levels. And as was the case with many other students, I was invited to play in the CM honor recitals every year, and I attribute this significantly to her knowledge, her confidence in me, and her passion as a piano teacher. If you are looking for an experienced, wise, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and attuned piano teacher, I *wholeheartedly* recommend Dr. Shen!!

My daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Mrs. Maria for a few months now and our experience…read morethus far has been great. From the very first trial lesson, Mrs. Maria set a positive and comfortable tone with my daughter. It was right then that we decided to purchase a full package of lessons and continue with her. Mrs. Maria is very generous with her time and makes sure that each lesson is productive (no excessive side chatter). Plus, parents are allowed to sit in the room and observe throughout the lesson, which I like. Outside of lessons, Mrs. Maria makes herself available to answer questions and even called my daughter and sang to her on her birthday, which made my daughter feel really special. She also sends follow-up emails after most lessons to review what was learned and what needs to be practiced. If you are considering letting your child try out guitar, I highly recommend Mrs. Maria. She has two young children herself, so she really knows how to work with kids as well as balance challenging them with having fun. Location: Mrs. Maria's studio is very quaint and private, located on the upstairs level of a retail mall, and there is always ample parking.

She was clearly bothered and insisted that I bring my daughter to in person classes; however that was not possible for me but she seemed to not understand. To this date she has not refunded me $185 for extra classes she asked me to purchase which would help her pay for college plus $45 for one missed class. If you are a working mom I recommend you find another piano teacher who does not add stress to your life and beware she takes it very bad when you announce you will unenroll. P.S. Honesty does not seem to be part of Layla's business practices.
