I would have never know this hidden treasure existed. It's tucked away in a small studio, next to Suede Restaurant and Lounge. Penny the owner was kind enough to honor my gift certificate, something she normally wouldn't do,because it was dated for 2004. I made sure to call in to see if it was still valid. Don't let this small space fool you, Wonderful things come in small packages.Her studio is decorated with Luxurious colors and textures (see pics) Just as Fancy as any upscale commercial salon or spa you might visit, perhaps even more so. I had a signature custom facial and it was Fabulous. She used some of the most wonderfully fragrant aromatherapy products, complete with hand, arm, neck, scalp and shoulder massage too. My my hands and forearms were wrapped in plastic and placed in warming mitts after the massage for the remainder of the facial, I was in heaven! In addition to facials Penny also specializes in permanent make-up procedures,scar camouflaging, corrective permanent make-up procedures, and waxing. I couldn't have left there any happier than I did, I was actually Glowing! I whole heartedly recommend Penny and her services and I've decided to make my indulgences more of a priority and schedule monthly facials with her.

I am incredibly picky and this is my first "tattoo" ever, and I think Sally is the best. She is nice and funny and very honest, which is what you want. You don't want to be mislead, you want honesty and that is what Sally gives you. She is incredibly skilled, has decades of experience and her pricing is extremely fair based on the going rates for permanent make up. There is little to no pain, due to a lip block that the nurse administers. Your lips are really swollen (mine were, thank you masks) for a few days and then they looked normal at day 4. The color definitely fades, but I wanted that- they are very stained after the application and i really wanted a natural pinkish lip color at the end. I will update the review after my lips completely heal in a couple of weeks, but for now I am very happy! Thanks Sally!

You do get a touch-up with your first treatment and I asked her at that time to go higher on my lip line on my left upper lip. She refused saying that she can't go outside the lip line. Well, she went just outside on the right side , so I don't know why she couldn't just even then out. She spoke to me in a very demeaning way - as though I was lucky to have the privilege of her doing my lips. Fast-forward 3 years I needed a touch-up and yes I did go back to her because I wanted the same color. I don't need to be best friends with whoever is tattooing my lips, so I thought I'd give her another try. The photo I'm attaching is the result. It's worse than the first time as far as being uneven. This time, she went over the lip line on one side on the bottom but REFUSED to even it out on the other side when I went back. Same with the top. My lips are now lop-sided and the way she spoke to me was so horrible. She made it clear she had done nothing wrong and said she can't keep fixing my lips because she has to buy needles, etc. My impression of Sally is that of a woman who no longer enjoys her job and sees herself as above her clients. It is time for her to retire.

I stumbled upon Beauty Blink and was able to easily book an appointment online. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted by the sweetest gal, Marsa, and she had me start filling in some paperwork. Typical intake questions like recent surgeries and ailments and some questions about my hair and scalp and then we headed back to the room. Once I got situated Marsa started with the high frequency wand and some other tools with my hair dry before turning on the nice, warm water and wetting my hair. From there, she used several products and tools, alternating between scalp massage and gentle combing. She also added a steam cap and let my hair steam for a while and there was some wonderful aromatherapy going as well. We ended the service by wrapping my hair in a towel before letting me brush it out in a separate little room. I had the option to blow dry my hair if I wanted but I chose to leave with wet hair so it could air dry. Overall, this was a very very relaxing way to spend the evening, the process was amazing, and Marsa was so sweet and asked for feedback at the end of the service as well. You can tell this place cares about their customers and the quality of the service they provide and I will absolutely be back!

Most programs I found were only 2-3 days long and mainly included a tattoo gun. For the price and the short duration, I was worried I wouldn't learn enough--especially since many schools only taught a couple of techniques or just one service like brows or lip liner. Then I came across Brow Me Pretty Academy with Eveline, and I immediately felt like I found exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a program long enough to truly understand not only the techniques, but also the theory and business knowledge needed to start a career. I ended up getting even more than I expected. While I was comparing different courses, I also paid close attention to the kits they came with. Eveline offered two types of starter kits, and both included everything you need to begin practicing confidently. She even provides information on where to purchase additional supplies. Many other courses only offered a very small kit--or just a tattoo machine--which didn't feel worth the investment. For the amount of money you're spending, a good starter kit is essential. This was another sign to me that Eveline is incredibly detailed and genuinely cares about her students' success. The course is two weeks long, which I loved. The first week is online and comes with two detailed manuals--one for blading and one for shading. This is a manual microblading and shading course (not a machine class). The books are packed with essential information for beginners: when you should avoid working on someone, skin types and how they affect healed results, choosing the right brow style, mapping (including correcting difficult brows), color theory, color correction, and even guidance on starting your business. The second week is completely hands-on. You work side by side with Eveline as she walks you through the techniques and shows how the theory ties into real daily work. This week really helped everything click for me--I became confident with the tools and the process. We also shadow her and work on two models for our final, which was a big reason I chose this academy. Unlike other schools where students only get to do a couple of strokes on a shared model, here you get actual meaningful practice. If you're going to invest in your education, I highly recommend choosing Eveline's full program. Her academy is one of only two schools in Phoenix accredited by the education board, meaning you leave with a legitimate certification. That's so important--I'm truly grateful I found her, because I would have been devastated to spend my hard-earned money on a certificate that holds no real value.
