When I finally received a call back, the conversation immediately felt defensive and unwelcoming. Before even looking my mom up in the system, I was told the service might cost an additional $300-$400 depending on hair type and then was told Groupon services were only for first-time clients. I explained this was a gift and that I genuinely did not know whether my mom had been there before, and politely asked if she could simply check her system first before denying the service. Instead of helping clarify the situation, the conversation turned argumentative and eventually the owner hung up on me. The lack of professionalism and customer service was disappointing, especially considering this was intended to be a Mother's Day gift.
