Purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian Blowout as a Mother's Day gift for my mom. I tried contacting…read morethe salon Sunday and left a voicemail, then called again Tuesday after not hearing back. When I finally received a call back, the conversation immediately felt defensive and unwelcoming. Before even looking my mom up in the system, I was told the service might cost an additional $300-$400 depending on hair type and then was told Groupon services were only for first-time clients. I explained this was a gift and that I genuinely did not know whether my mom had been there before, and politely asked if she could simply check her system first before denying the service. Instead of helping clarify the situation, the conversation turned argumentative and eventually the owner hung up on me. The lack of professionalism and customer service was disappointing, especially considering this was intended to be a Mother's Day gift.

Yes, I am that cheap. I used the app--as per usual--to get in line and did receive a text 15 minutes before my haircut. Unfortunately the text doesn't tell you that you can't wait inside at all, even though there's a table set up near the front door and there wasn't anyone else waiting. The sign at the front lists a limit of 5 customers, and I would have been #2... My usual salon doesn't have this same restriction. So I walked around outside for a bit until it was my turn. My stylist was friendly and efficient, which are two important things for a haircut. Better instructions for the COVID times would have been helpful and the front windows are a hot mess of various notices; there are fewer regulations for getting on an airplane than having your haircut here.
