The gas price was good but this review is for the convenience store when I went into the convenience store I bought a chicken biscuit the biscuit wasn't really cooked and I got a fountain drink that most places sell for $1.50 or less they charge $3 the drink itself had no syrup in it and it tasted like bleach. read more

So this gas station is on the yucky (under-developed) side of the exit ramp off the highway. we susually stop on exit 18 bc it has a starbucks for good coffee and the starbucks side of exit 18 has a lot of fast food options. Even though this side of exit 18 where Raceway is has nothing in the way of food it does have something the other gas stations dont have - a decent size grassy spot to walk your dogs not along the main road. The other gas stations on exit 18 dont have a safe space to walk your dog. the bathrooms are a bit run down but there are at least 3 stalls in the ladies restroom. the other average thing about this gas station is that while they do have "fresh" sandwiches to go they dont have a lot of fresh fruit and as many healthier to go food options. you do get free water for your water bottles from the soda fountain so that in combination with the area to walk our dogs makes it a 3 star stop to get gas and take a break from our drive. read more

When I drive, I look for RaceWay for the main reason that I know they will have clean bathrooms. This one was as clean as I expected it to be and sits off the highways just as you enter Valdosta, GA, so if dropping kids off at the college or about to cross the state line into Florida, you cant go wrong stopping off here. Grab a few snacks and a couple of soft drinks or juice. Also had lottery, so here's hoping by the time I get around to checking my lottery tickets, I can find out I'm a winner. read more

Gas was good and so were the prices, store was fine as we just glanced and walked through. Bathrooms werent clean the lady worker was using the bathroom as we waited and she was in there for a bit, there was another stall that wasnt clean there was feces all in and around the toilet. I watched her walk out of one stall go into the real dirty one flush it once and then walk out without washing her hands. A minute or two later I walked out of the restroom and she was stocking food. read more

The only thing good about this gas station is the size of the parking lot with plenty of grass space to let our dogs pee. They only were accepting cash and they had no signs on the pumps to let you know. This isn't the first time this has happened at this location either. We had stopped a year prior at this location and had the same experience. We hoped a year would give enough time to fix their issues, but we were obviously wrong. I decided to still go in and use the restroom this time, but I quickly regretted it. It was filthy with the top of the soap dispensers missing and hair all over the sinks. I understand smaller hole in the wall gas stations being poorly maintained, but well known names like raceway should never allow this type of uncleanliness. read more

The cashier at about 430 pm today in Valdosta Ga yelled at me with an attitude when I asked her did they do cash app.I was trying to make it clear with her that it was my first time using cash app but instead she yelled with an awful attitude at me when I questioned about how to do cash app on a register.Again this is my first time using it wich I told her and she just went Karen on me.I don't think she is in the right at all.My life isn't the greatest either right now but I be damn if I get talked to like she did me when I'm only trying to do business. Pat Reed owns this store. Her employees are Tammy and Lamar. My husband and I were traveling from FL to TN and stopped in for gas and a potty break. The restrooms were very clean. I left my phone in the stall not realizing I'd left it until we were back in FL. I called the store, got Tammy and she had the owner, Pat, return my call. Long story, short, Pat shipped my phone to FL that same day! The honest and impeccable Customer Service was undeniable! Thank you very much to a fabulous group of honest, hard working individuals!! My review is based on a situation that occurred a few weeks ago. Its long but it involves a GA Lottery Ticket. Beware. On a recent trip to St. Augustine we stopped at the Raceway to cash in two lottery tickets we had purchased about 30 miles up the road. Full disclosure, I went to use the marginally clean bathroom and asked my 11 year old granddaughter to cash them in and purchase some more, which is not allowed (she is too young). Once I came out of the bathroom she told me and I attempted to cash them in. The free ticket one worked with no problem. The one with a free ticket and $10.00 prize seemed to be causing an issue. The cashier scanned it three of four times in front of me and told me it wasn't accepting it. She stated that perhaps it had never been activated at the location I purchased it at. Another person behind the register stated the same thing. They both said, "it happens all the time". I explained that they were both from the same machine and purchased at the same time, so it didn't make sense. I asked for the ticket back and the receipt back and we left, we had been in line for about ten minutes and people where stacking up behind us. I just stuck them in my pocket and we continued our journey. Sometime later I pulled them out and realized that the receipt stated that the ticket had already been paid out, by that location! I asked my granddaughter if she remembered if the lady scanned it when she handed it to her and she said yes, but than asked her how old she was, at which time she said 11 and she was told she could not conduct the transaction (perfectly legit). We were very busy and it slipped my mind, I thought I would just stop on our way back up and explain. I went to the location but there was not a manager on duty and the cashier was very indifferent. When I got home I called, it was little over a week later. The assistant manager was very nice and after I explained the entire situation she took my info and a picture of both the ticket and receipt and stated she would call me back the next day after investigating. I never heard back so I sent a few more texts. She did live a voicemail and state that there was nothing they could do since so much time had passed. She stated a lottery official had just been there as this has happened a few more times since I went in! This is incredible - I have played the lottery since the inception and never had this happen. Word to the wise, never trust what the cashier says when your ticket doesn't work, call for a manager immediately and request they call the lottery office - otherwise you get cheated out of your winnings and someone else - the store owner, cashier or the lottery gets your prize - don't know who, buy it wasn't the person who purchased the ticket.. The assistant manager was really nice and I appreciate her desire to resolve this, but this is unacceptable on all levels and I will not visit this Raceway, or any other if possible again. read more

Men's bathroom toilet was broken leaked all over my clothes. There was no soap in men's restroom.

The women's restroom was filthy! Only one air dryer and one soap dispenser worked out of two of each. Top of the t.p. dispenser was dirty and covered with dust. Toilet looked as if hadn't been cleaned in a while. OK to get gas, but stay away from the store! read more

Easy in and out. Tourists love to stop here so there are lines at cashiers if you go inside. I mainly pay at pump and leave. Been coming here 11 yrs in last yr or so its better managed was a Russian type guy running it few years ago I havent seen him in long while so must have new owners or management. There was a registered sex offender living in the woods right where tourists walk their dogs so I told the Russian guy because the guys clearly not someone a woman wants to meet in the woods. The guy said who cares he has to live somewhere..I quit going inside the store after that. I dont see the sex offender panhandling at the off ramp anymore but there are plenty of others there doing that...cheapest gas can be found further down st Augustine at *second flash foods its .06 cent cheaper a gallon 17 mar 2019. There are two flash foods second one just past Hobby Lobby steak and shake etc is cheaper. Just outside tourist stops.. read more
