Blegh.
This gas station is serviced by some of the dumbest, most incompetent employees I've ever witnessed. Whether there are long lines of cars waiting to be serviced or you are the only customer, there is no urgency and they waddle around like they have all the time in the world.
I always say the same thing, "Super, fill it up, please," (yes, yes, my car takes expensive gas) and the dialogue always goes the same way:
"How much gas?"
"Fill it up please."
"Regular?"
"No, super,"
"How much?"
"Fill it up."
Is it really that difficult to remember two criteria? Not to mention, that's pretty much half of what your job entails? The second half would be to perform what you remember correctly and they have failed at that as well. I once left the pump feeling rather happy because it didn't take much to fill up my tank and upon glancing at my receipt, I realized they'd filled my car with regular. Idiots.
Another thing to note is that there are two areas of pumps, 4 pumps that are closer to Rt. 202 and 4 pumps that are closer to Rt. 10. For some reason, the attendants don't like to walk to the pumps by Rt. 202. This scenario has happened to me a few times: if there are 4 cars stationed at the pumps closer to Rt. 10, I'll decide that it makes sense to wait at one of the other pumps but instead of walking over and serving me, they'll dilly dally around until one of the other cars leaves and then wave at me to come over to the other pumps. I really don't understand it.
Lastly, the employees (an all-male staff from what I've observed) are kind of creepy. I've seen them interacting with other patrons and if ever there is a girl in the car, instead of just grabbing the money/credit card out of the girl's hand, they'll stoop down and stick their head in the window and linger. Maybe it's just me, but it makes me really uncomfortable when they do that.
The only redeeming factor is that the location is so convenient - since it's right by my house - and the prices are always v. competitive. read more
