I paid for the most expensive car wash with exterior cleaning.. they spent about seven minutes cleaning the inside of my car. the sides of my door where still gross and my floor mats weren't touched... but I usually have a good experience there so that's the three stars for ya. read more

I visited Village Car Wash Saturday 12/15/18 @ 10:25 AM. Half way through the car wash I began hearing a loud grinding/scraping noise coming from my drivers door. As I exited the car wash I got out and verified it was scratched significantly. I called to inform the owner Peter, of the business the damage that was done to my vehicle. He asked that I email him photos, which I did and received a call back stating that his car wash could not have done that damage and that no one has ever complained about his car washes. So I did some research on his reviews, and reports of vehicle damage similar to mine are all over the place. I only wish I had read the reviews before I decided to have my car washed. I was quoted over $1,000 to have the door taken off sanded and refinished. Peter denied any responsibility and when I stated I would be posting a google review about my experience he told me "No business owner cares about google reviews". Excellent full service car wash and great customer service. Our SUV and car always come out looking (and smelling) like new. They even vacuum our three car seats exceptionally well! Great indoor waiting area with free hoops game for the kids and coffee for adults. Today they had donuts from Dunkin for us...needless to say, our girls were ecstatic! We lived closer to Fast Eddies before and I used to go there but after moving started to come here and I honestly would have come here before had I known. It is unfortunate that there are people who call themselves businessmen in this city and talk to customers the way "Pete" did today. I took my 3rd vehicle in two weeks for a full service $25 dollar wash, an older used pick up truck. During the wash I heard a fairly loud cracking sound. After the exterior wash, I noticed that the side view mirror cover was hanging off so I called over one of the attendants. This attendant, among other things, pretty much told me that it was my issue and that "it must have been damaged already". When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that I was wasting my time. Another employee took my name and said "He'll call you". At this point I was already late for an appointment and could see how this was going so I asked for refund on my car wash, figuring the cover for the mirror was around $30 (found it for under $19 on ebay). She refused to refund my money and only offered me a gift card. Why would I (or anyone for that matter) want to run my car through the same car wash that damaged my car to begin with? I insisted on a refund and when she repeatedly said "no" I took the gift card as it was clear that it was going to be my only resolution. Several hours later "Pete" called and heard my complaint. Silence. Then came the lecture about "all customers" and "there are two sides to every story" yada yada yada. Everything that you learn not to do to a customer in business 101. After his long lecture about how I was responsible for the many wrongs in this world, he told me that I would have to bring the truck to the car wash so he could look at it and inspect the damage. When I offered photos and suggested he look at his "surveillance" video that he had mentioned in a few of the demeaning responses he gave to other "complainers" on yelp, he repeated he had to see it. I explained that it was not my intention to come there so that he could demean me in person and not resolve the issue and that my time was limited. I told him that I would send my husband to deal with this issue (as my patience was at an all time low with this man) and he refused stating that if I didn't come he wouldn't talk to him. I went with my husband after he took a business call that came in unexpectedly (after all it is the middle of a business day right?). As we pulled up he walked out with a very irritated strained and angry look on his face (so much so that my husband who is usually calm looked at me and said "here we go"). The first thing that Pete said was "so you decided to finally show up" as if my world and schedule revolved around a tentative time. When someone shows up later than they say it is usually about them Pete, not you. He then walked over to the mirror, looked at it, and started lecturing us again about our vehicle, stating the "wear and tear" and "scratches all over the mirror" (which my husband calmly pointed out were plastered bugs that his car wash failed to clean as he scratched one off). At one point he completely stopped talking and looked at my husband, raised his voice at him, and started rattling off about how he reads other peoples body language and he wasn't going to continue with him if he was going to have attitude. My husband, perplexed (that was the look btw as he gives it to me on occasion so I know) said "what are you talking about man?". Peter starts to go on and on about the car again and at one point my husband says "you never intended to resolve this issue in any way did you?" Pete looks at him and says "No I didn't but I wanted to see it anyway" My husband repeated his question in different words to see if he actually heard this man just say that he took us away from our business day so that he could tell us to our faces that he wasn't going to do anything. Pete promptly admitted that he was correct. We are talking about a less than $20 item on ebay and a $25 car of which I only asked for a refund... So excuse me Peter when I so unladylike blurted out a profane reference to you and your business as my mother would have likely washed out my mouth with soap. I however don't have apology's for you, your behavior, your lack of respect for your fellow human (or maybe its a woman thing judging by your change in demeanor when speaking to a man), or the way you poorly run your business. You don't get to waste my time for your personal agenda. So I expect you will get on here and have a demeaning response that will focus on the fact that I must be some bad person, paint a picture that we were somehow out of control , or some other conclusion that you see from your victim standpoint. I just wanted you to replace a broken side view mirror cap on an old pick up truck. You said you were in business for 20 years when you were yelling at me across the car. I'm not sure what's been going on here but over the last few months this business has gone down hill. Management is a joke and VERY rude. There's a woman who works there that is unbelievably rude. I'm appalled by the way she's treated my husband and myself. I tried to play it off as maybe she had a bad day but it's obviously her natural state of mind. I feel horrible for the staff as I've seen her also treat them poorly. My husband and I forgot our ticket in the machine ( yes we're human) and the gentleman working there scolded us) we suggested us looking at our mobile bank app to show we paid for 26 dollar service but he proceeded to say that's not the point? The point is we're human we made an error. We've gone here for years but we've had it. We'll travel down the road for better service all around for our Jeeps! I will add since the owner excused her behavior due to not "feeling well", we are adults when we don't feel good you do not go to work or buck it up. I can respect and understand feeling under the weather but I can not respect taking that out on on customers. Also it has been MULTIPLE times this woman has been cranky . DO NOT USE THIS CAR WASH. I paid for a full service wash. Went thru the automated system wash. Then when I pulled up the the area for vacuuming (where their employees we're vacuuming other cars) i was told that since it was after 3pm (it was 3:05) I could no longer get my car vacuumed. Why stay open until 5 pm if you no longer provide service. If I wanted to drive thru an automated wash I would have gone to a gas station car wash for half the price. TOTAL RIP OFF read more

Whoever says this owner is nice must never get out of their car or be part of his family. I have never written a review online but will today. Went to run my truck through the wash and it go stuck on the rails. Keep in mind my car is in neutral and I am not touching it. Owner comes out and tells me to back up as he is swearing constantly. As I back out, I nicely ask if there is any damage to the running boards and his reply is "all I care about is my equipment" so I said all I care is about my truck. He tells me to pull around to the front. I wait, he does not come out. I ask one of the workers what is going on and he said he needs to wait for the owner.. Finally after waiting for a while the very nice worker tells me to come in and he will take my info. The owner sees me in there, walks in and all his says is, "why dont your running boards go up" in a very sarcastic tone. I respond I have no idea and he says "you should its your truck". So I said I didnt know I was supposed to go over my vehicle history before going through the wash. Keep in mind the guy running the wash saw the running boards and said nothing. I had the worker refund my money, told him I am sorry he has to work for that kind of individual, and ended up leaving because he was not coming back out. So I took pictures of the damage to my truck in front of the building and we will see what my insurance company has to say about it. A cheap wash is enticing, the employees who work there are great, but it is not worth giving your money to an owner that has no regards for his customers. read more

Just had the worst experience at village carwash car needed a good wash and vacuum so I paid $25 for their premium wash. When the y waved me over a employee said I was all done when I got inside nothing had been done no vacuum,windows etc. I finally found someone who I thought was in charge he told me to get back in line that's when the employee who should have cleaned my car said he was to busy cleaning his car even though mine car was ahead of his then he waved his hands at me and walked away !!!! Best car wash in the area and is very reasonable.

The birds had dive-bombed both our cars. We took the first car in yesterday and the intake man was nice about spraying the hood a little extra before going through the wash. With our second car today there was a different intake fellow. We asked if he could spray a little extra like the guy did yesterday. He got totally bent out of shape and accused us of wanting something for nothing. He was rude and inappropriate. We will take our cars elsewhere from now on. read more

I came here last week and paid $25 for the full wash, under carriage, etc. I thought the outside of the car looked wonderful until I noticed that there was a waxy coding running down both outside mirrors. Then I noticed the inside was not wiped down as I expected. It's a lot of money to pay for a darn car wash. My husband suggested calling them and talking to the owner. I talked to Oscar who was there because the owner was out. He was very kind and understanding, but mind you I am a nice person and I didn't start off yelling or demanding. I just said I wanted him to know that for that amount of money I didn't think it was a very good job. I am in the cleaning profession and so I know what clean is! I have a Siberian Husky that is in my car and of course there were muddy footprints that were just ignored. Oscar offered me a free car wash the next time I come out there. So today I am out here and the owner is here, Peter who also called me back to see if I was satisfied since he had heard that I had called and talked to Oscar previously. I was cordial and he gave me an entire full Works car wash for free. It is hard to work in the service industry and make everyone happy , so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I think it all depends on how you approach giving a complaint to a business. I would go back again and just mention to please wipe down the doors on the inside from the dog. I will go back again but I won't ever pay $25 for a car wash because that's just too much money. read more

Very poor customer service. I was going to try the monthly membership and was given a price, that is listed on the brochure and online. When the guy went to get my payment, the price changed. Looks like they changes prices in their system but not on their brochures or online. Since I was given the lower price at the counter I asked to speak with the manager, however he said there's nothing he can do even though the advertised price was lower. I came to have a car wash in the soft cloth automatic wash plus a quick vacuum and exterior wipe down on Dec. 1st,it is a local business in my community,and I figured give them the business instead of going elsewhere.(It was my first time there),BAD CHOICE. I recently purchased a car ,and I usually wash the car myself every couple weeks,so it was not filthy,just needed a quick wash.Right after wash I went across the street to Jewel to pick up a few groceries.When I walked up to my car,I noticed a chip in the exterior paint on my rear passenger door! It was NOT there before wash,it was huge,about a palm size.Then I took a walk around my vehicle and looked closely,on my hood there was 7-9 chips of paint.Looks like someone took a bb gun and it my hood.Of course I was furious,I drove back across street to car wash and asked for the manager. The employee said he was not in yet,but would give him my name and phone number and he would call me back.I then went home and looked up business on Yelp......I should have BEFORE I went there.Bad reviews and many others complaining of the same problems.!! Paint chips and scratches on other cars from the car wash.The manager then called me (Peter),asked me what happened and if I can bring car by to see.No problem,right away I went.When he walked up to me,I could see his arrogance right away.I showed him the paint chips and scratches and I told him that something in his car wash DID THIS..... there was none of this before car wash.! He then told me this is not from his wash,and it was from every day wear and tear from driving.I then told him something in the car wash sounded like a bb gun and it scared me by the sound,but he laughed and said he paid top dollar for his equipment and it is nothing.We argued back and forthy,I kept saying HIS CARWASH DID THIS,and what is he going to do to fix this.I was getting no where.I then asked for the owners name,he said " no,I will not give that to you".I asked 3-4 times,he kept saying no. Then Peter changed his story and said "I am the owner". why did he lie for multiple times,i don't know.Peter then said,I am going to pull up the video feed and look at your passenger rear door,and see if that damage was there before wash.I of course agreed,because it was not there before.I asked to sit right by him while he pulled up video feed,he said no. I knew my car was going to be a mess when it wasn't rinsed thoroughly after the special wax sprayed on and nobody to wipe it down. I felt bad for the poor girl in the heat that took the time to shine my tires, tipped her a fin and moved on. Won't be back. And I think the manager missed some of the review or the point entirely, that the car wasn't RINSED THOROUGHLY. I've been through $3 express washes that do better. And guess what? No spots! Used to be a weekly customer. 1st mishap had the max wash $20 plus dollars. Tipped $5.00. When got car wheels were not cleaned, asked him to clean, he stated that they were rusted. (hmmm didn't know aluminum rusted) it was brake dust and I told him so, still refused to clean them. I regret tipping in advance. I went home and cleaned then myself, what do I need them for? 2nd strike and Final strike, we bought a compact SUV (Chevy Equinox) went there for the express wax cuz it's a good deal at @$39.95 special and $15.00 extra for Full size SUV, pick up or van. Young person at entry says it will be an extra $15.00 because it's an "SUV". I told him it's not a full size SUV it's a compact SUV, he would get manager who told me I had a FULL SIZE SUV!!! wow, I refused the service and left. Called the owner who stated it's their "policy" to charge $15.00 more for any vehicle that is a "SUV". Long story short, he could not justify why he is charging $15.00 extra for a compact SUV, it doesn't take any longer to do, no extra materials, labor etc. It's just a simple fact that he makes an extra (not his employees) $15.00 because it's an "SUV". Next he'll probably charge more if it's a Mercedes, BMW, Lincoln etc because he can. WELL HE CAN'T, I WON'T BE BACK AND I WILL PASS THIS INFO ON TO EVERY ONE I KNOW!!!! i pay $56 a month,for the full service wash. clean my car, wipe down interior,clean windows,wipe down tires,put tire shine on,vacuum. now i have weathertech mats and in order to get those wipeed down with FREE water i have to pay an extra $6 per wash(his EE tip) bc with service like this and a charge like that,i'm not tipping. Now the best part, i pulled in last weekend to have my detail, i waited about 25 min for my car to get to him. it was the owner the blonde guy. He pulled my car up and when i came out he literally did nothing. not one single thing,not even a vacuum job. my plate holder was damaged and i told him,he said oh it happens and still proceeded to charge me the $6 to wipe down my mats for 10 seconds with the FREE water. in the winter i mentioned to him other places wipe down mats, he said the water will freeze, ok so it starts to freeze after an hour dump it out and fill it back up with warm water. nope not here,customer satisfaction means nothing here. if the owner reads this im the gu with the silver Mercedes Bez C-300 that you give attitude to everytime i ask you to wash my mats and upcharge me $6. read more
