I normally don't write reviews of gas stations but for this one I had to make an exception. My wife…read moreand I have been coming here for probably about 3 years now because we live pretty close. The Manager is really cool and so is the attendant that works at night that has a the crazy hair. The reason for the review is because, once they started selling beer/liquor. The manager knew me and my wife and we always asked him when...when...when are they going to start selling. When the time came and the vote went through, he asked us what we wanted him to sell. I told him Fat Tire and my wife rattled off a few names of wines that she drinks. Sure enough once they got their first shipment in, both of our request were stocked. Its not too often a gas station will ask you what you like to drink so they can sell it. It was a nice touch and we have been purchasing our drinks there when we don't want to go to the bar and drink. MZ

It offers the standard 7-Eleven offerings including Slurpees, propane tank exchange, lottery tickets, ice, beer/wine, drinks, fast foods, household essentials, car essentials and dairy products. The location is very clean, has a formal bike rack and a large green space to the side. Plenty of room for parking and getting gas. Easy to get in and out of. My recent trip was for some dairy product and the items I bought were very cold as they should have been. The knock is already, pan handlers are hanging around begging for cash. The area tends to have a lot of panhandlers so this may be a concern for a while.

I agree with other reviews I've seen online, this place is never open before 7/730 AM. Store looks like it's still stuck in the 90s even after "updates" ...think minimalist texas chainsaw massacre. Thought being courteous in the service industry was a given, but I guess it depends on management and training.

The folks that work there actually call it Lakewood Exxon, although many locals still call it the Cave. The great news is the nearly hidden Beer Cave still exists AND is still guarded by the bear! The cave has an outstanding selection of cold beers of various breweries from far and wide. Plus many of the local brews are in there chilling! It is a great place to walk in on a really hot day as you brew browse. The wine selection outside of the cave is quite good for a gas station. There is yet another large cooler with all kinds drinks. There are a few of the common food items on the shelves to include Velveeta! Now I know where I can quickly get my queso making supplies and chips before grabbing a couple at my hangouts. This place sells lottery tickets and all kinds of other convenience store products. You can get your laundry soap and paper towels on the way to one of the local bars or restaurants that are within eye sight or around the corner to Lower Greenville! This place is nearly at the center of my universe! Or at least the Skillman/Live Oak/LaVista world! I've heard one of the nearby bar tender/drink making wizards send patrons here for their tobacco needs. It is walking distance from at least 4 bars and 4 restaurants. I might even know of a patron who tried to walk off a drink by shopping here. If nothing else, get a picture of your date with the bear! The store and pumps are open from 6 AM to Midnight.
