Boudin ball and fried egg. Breakfast suggestion.

Best in Iowa, LA. Most like homemade. A must stop for frozen, and hot boudin. We take home a cooler full to North AL.

Crunchy Crispy Tasty Savors Flavors Colors Smell Really good stop driving from Louisiana to houston Deep fried cat fish my favorite one

Cracklin, not good
Chris B.

If I were to rate Rabideauxs on their cracklin alone I'd give the 1 star but because of their smoked sausage and the selection of items, I'm giving them 3 stars. The cracklin weren't good at all, if you want good cracklin go to Billy's at exit 98. One thing that I didn't like was how someone that was standing around talking to his buddies outside came in and told a guy, in a disrespectful way, that he couldn't park in a certain place and that's why there was parking in the back. One visit is enough for me.

The food is outstanding. The service is amazing. The ambience is exquisite and I'm more than welcome to company that was involved.

The food and service there is excellent. They take their time with their customers and that's a plus these days. Don't see that very often.

We happened to have our travels land us in Iowa! Not Iowa the state, but rather Iowa, the town in…read moreLouisiana. Needing something for dinner, we took to Yelp... After much per reasoning of the choices of the area we chose, Roy's Meat Market! From the moment we stepped into this beautiful establishment, we knew that all the previous reviews were true, a proven hidden gem. My first question was what is Bohdin? With that our waitress promptly pulled an entire 16 inch link out of the pan and cut it into three pieces and told us to try it and see if we liked it. It was delicious, I asked her what I owed, she said nothing. Everyone needs to try it! At that, my wife and I ordered, I ordered the shrimp. Po-Boy sandwich filled with the condiments that I selected. My wife ordered the smoked turkey salad, it was huge! We then ordered a couple of beers, and proceeded to our table to wait for our food. We were greeted by some wonderful people sitting in the dining room, who were so kind and so welcoming it felt like we were at someone's home sitting around the kitchen table with old friends. Come to find out it was the owner, and one of his longtime, trusted customers and friends. As we were getting ready to leave, we were able to have a wonderful conversation with the owner ourselves, we've made a decision. The folks down here are absolutely kind as can be and so welcoming. In regard to the food, try it all give it a chance and you won't be disappointed!

I was a little unsure about stopping here, given so few reviews. Places like this are either…read moreamazing or trash. This place is definitely amazing. The folks were very friendly. I was worried they'd wonder what some out of town folk were doing in what could have been a local haunt, but that fear was false. The shrimp po boy was perfect. The jalapeño Mayo brought just enough heat to open you up, but not so much that you hated your life. I'd definitely recommend this place.

They also had Fresh Made Pork Rinds, no worries one day I'm leaving the pork alone I decided to get the bag of Fresh Pork Rinds. They had frozen meats to go and gumbo to go. We did not grab meat because we still have a whole before we head home, they do have you a frozen bag on sale right next to the freezer and Fridge for your convenience. You should definitely stop by while visiting Louisiana! The Service was quick and easy and the Ambience was casual and comfortable with outdoor seating. Parking Ok, if you fear trucks do not come here

Since meeting my boyfriend, I've heard nonstop about In-Laws. From day one--right after I mentioned…read moreI went to college in New Orleans--he's been hyping this place up. So after performing at New Orleans Jazz Fest this past weekend, we finally made a stop to see if it lived up to the praise. Pulling up, it honestly looks like a simple gas station pit stop--the kind of place truck drivers frequent (and judging by the steady flow of trucks, that checks out). But stepping inside was a completely different experience. It was clean, open, and surprisingly welcoming. Before even ordering, we found ourselves in the frozen section grabbing items to take home--boudin, deer sausage, gumbo... you name it, they had it stocked and ready. It already felt like one of those hidden gems you're glad someone put you on to. Then came the food. My boyfriend has been talking about their fried ribs for over a year, so of course we had to order them. He also got chicken wings, while I kept it light with Cajun boudin balls and green beans. First bite of the boudin ball? I was pleasantly surprised. Flavorful, slightly doughy, but still really good. But let's get to the star of the show... The fried ribs. As someone who's lived in Texas for over 20 years, I had never even heard of fried ribs. But baby... these were it. Perfectly seasoned all the way through, incredibly tender, and honestly--you could barely even tell they were fried. Just juicy, flavorful, and done right. This review is really just to say: fried ribs are real... and In-Laws does them right. If you're ever driving between Texas and Louisiana--somewhere around Lake Charles or Lafayette--do yourself a favor and stop here. 10/10. Highly recommend.
