The Rabbit Express hailing from the York area is a Commuters dream! It travels northbound to Harrisburg and southbound to the MD/Baltimore area. I've never rode the entire northbound route but the MD route only has 4 stops! The coach style buses are usually clean and comfortable. Most of the drivers are experienced and regular drivers which allows regular Commuters to develop amicable professional bonds. Lastly, the MD p.m. shift driver,Jozette, offers exceptiona servicel that makes everyone feel welcomed! Best part of it all,it only cost $5!!! read more

Was waiting at the market and queen st bus stop for the 1e bus and the lady just drove right past 3 people standing there waiting. We even waved and she looked at us as she drove by. Saturday October 3rd at 3:05pm read more

Mike the driver needs fired, he's rude. This morning he left someone at the dialysis center because he apparently had old friends come in to town and he was drinking heavily. Being hung over driving ailing persons is how you conduct business!? I could go into other problems with this company, get your crap together Rabbit!!! read more

Look I am grateful to even have a service or I wouldnt get my laundry done (Which is why they get 3 stars) in this rural town, but the service has gotten super bad. Most of the drivers are very nice, but I have had to file complaints for multiple issues like horrible smoke smell on the bus, non existent customer service, and lord help you if you get scheduled between 2 dialysis stops- I had to wait 3 1/2 hours in terrible arthritic pain because the 2 dialysis patients took over 3 hours to wait for! Lord knows, I sympathize greatly with their situations but 3 1/2 hours is not ok for a 59-year-old arthritic woman! They should have arranged another transport for me! The list of issues go on-- poor billing practices, messed up scheduling and forget trying to get through the phones! I am afraid RABBIT is going under. read more

My friend uses them every week. Rabbit is never on time. yesterday, he called me to come get him because he had been waiting 2.5 hours for the bus. the bus was supposed to pick him up at 3:30 and I picked him up at 4:30, still no sign of the bus. The next morning, Rabbit sent him a nasty email about missing his bus and not calling in? it never showed up. when he called to speak to a manager, they were too busy to speak to him. horrible customer service! The entire leadership team should be fired !!! read more

on hold waiting to schedule a ride for a patient that uses rabbit transit. I already emailed them and talked to them over the phone stating the pick up "window" is 2:46pm - 3:10pm and its currently 4:01pm and the patient is still waiting for his ride. Apparently the ride was NOT re-entered and now patient has to wait for lengthy periods of time. There HAS to be a better way to get patients picked up and transported. POINT BLANK, RABBIT TRANSIT SUCKS!!! Horrible service. I feel so bad for patients that have to wait this long going to and coming from appointments! read more

Have utilized Rabbit transit for several years. The service and drivers were always great. They have implemented a new system that is awful not only for the clients, but also for the drivers. A computerized or AI system . That lacks common sense. Please I'm begging please go back to the human being that has the knowledge and common sense to schedule and run things efficiently. read more

Did not show up for pick-up and the driver falsely stated that they picked me up. They even charged me. I missed my appointment. I called the dispatched and they created another appointment after my appointment time. They charged me with missing the ride even though I told the dispatch person not to schedule it. What is going on with the Rabit service? read more

My mom has missed so many appointments because they didn't show. No call either. Worst transportation ever.

Oct 2018 My youngest and I moved to Newport and there began a long nightmare dealing with the company from hell. I called them explained that my family and I had used PCTA for years but we moved and now that it was rabbit I asked if we need to reapply. Yes you will I will get the applications sent out to you today what is your address. Gave it to her and waited and waited and waited. Called again said we have not received the applications and we need service I do not have a vehicle and had not had one since 2015 2016 somewhere in that area. Where do you live? I told them once again oh well your son is listed in Millerstown we can't talk to you about him. Excuse me this is my minor child (at the time) who still lives with me. Finally got the applications they approved him but refused to approve me because of a mix up with dates I was suddenly lying about not having a car. If memory serves me I fought for 4 years to get help from them. An agency I was working with ended up stepping in to get me the help I needed. And then I never got help anyways. tried calling to set something up even called 48 hours in advance like I was told to do. And got nothing but a raft of shite from them. Something about reading page 20 i think of their booklet as the only take PECO people certain places certain days pretty much saying now that you need us we will determine when you can and cannot get the care you need when you need it. And yes that is exactly how it sounded. What made me the angriest was the whole time i was fighting for help I would see them come into the area where I live and pick up people to take them places and every damn one of them had their own vehicle but for one reason or another could not use it that day. I had no frickin vehicle at all. PCTA letting Rabbit take over was the worst thing ever. We need a new reliable service without all this BS read more

Your Paratransit side is never on time very unreliable disrespectful they need better customer service they put you on hold for 25 minutes to an hour before anybody answers their phones read more

Lately. customer service is non-existent. There is one phone number and no one ever picks up. I tried to schedule a ride for medical purposes two days ago and was electronically informed there were 62 callers ahead of me. Are there internal issues at Rabbit? Is Rabbit going under? We'd like some answers... read more

Friendly! Efficient! Timely! Clean! Cost friendly! Convenient! Fits my time, budget, my life.!!

Can't be reliable when they are running 10-15 minutes late and not holding connecting buses. They don't enforce people with walkers sticking their walkers out and nowhere to stand half of the time because the buses are so full read more

I'm reporting them to several agencies and then looking for a lawyer. The local Perry County commissioner's office had nothing but bad things to say about them with MANY constituents complaining about Rabbit Transit. I'm interested in starting a class action lawsuit against Rabbit Transit for leaving patients they're contracted to transport for doctor's visits and surgeries, stranded without a ride to the facilities. Reach out to me on Facebook under Eva Ordo from Harrisburg, Pa if you're interested. Their supervisor Richard Farr along with others at Rabbit Transit are culpable for NEGLIGENCE. They were told over 4 years ago that they HAVE to transport patients to places OUTSIDE of their local areas especially if there are no local providers that accept their insurance for certain procedures. To this day, they are refusing transportation outside of the area, though they are required to provide transportation for these types of trips. They do not reach out to the customer and make inquiries before denying the service. If they did, they would have been told that there are NO LOCAL PROVIDERS and that the one I was to see was the closest provider. Instead, they schedule the trip, leave a pre-recorded message informing me of the date and time of pick up and then last minute they cancel the trip leaving me without transportation to a necessary medical appointment because they ASSumed that I could have seen someone closer. You know what happens when they ASSume something right? Well they're not making a donkey out of me, that's all on them! Rabbit Transit needs to be held accountable for their WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE and BREACH OF CONTRACT. Who's with me? read more

Terrible service. Do not care about customers! Cancel appointments at last minute for no good reason!

I had an appt last week and used their service. Getting to appt was not a problem. First driver showed up in time for p/u. She was very nice. (I think her name was Deb) . She hot me to my appt early, though, so I had to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes. It was going back that was the the issue. Appt ended at 12:30, and they texted/called to say they would be there by 1:30, which I was fine with, because it would give me enough time for lunch and to get to work on time. 1:30 came and went, so I called them (I ended up having to call them two otlr three times) to find out what ylthe **** was going on. They said t Jat they would be there by 2:00ish, which was also OK. The person on the phone was very rude and kept making up excuses. They FINALLY showed up at 3:15, after I waited around for 3 hours. The driver was rude. When I questioned her as to why they were so late, she gave me a bunch of attitude & was rude, which I did not appreciate. She also blamed me for her issues, which was NOT OK. If they give you a specific time, they should be there at that time, not 3 hours later! She drove like she was drunk or on drugs and kept messing around with her thumbs for some reason . I think she even blew through a red light! I ended up being late for work because of them! I almost ended up taking an uber back because they screwed up. read more

Rabbit Transit couldn't be on time if they tried! I've now missed 3 MEDICAL appointments because they care more about getting as many fairs as possible over a consistent business model. Being some of our ONLY way to get transportation is from Rabbit, so they don't even attempt to be nice or even professional in any way. The operator I talked to said I'm sorry to hear that, thank you for calling, have a nice day in one quick breath and just hung up on me. They are literally playing with people's lives here, and they could care less. BBB is my next call. read more

I am not impressed. In Chambersburg PA they have busses, but are very limited as to who can use it. Asa healthy adult going to work it's about a twelve dollar fair. If you are elderly or disabled it's a few dollars. They offer no flexible pricing other than that and they are confusing as to how to get a ride in Chambersburg. I never heard of calling for a ride and paying that price. I might as well be using Lyft! read more

Again, I'm not sure what the problems are about Rabbit Transit if over 3 years they've always gotten me to my doctor appointments on time. What more can you ask? On the return trip home however, sometimes I have to wait too long. read more

my employer has a mandatory shuttling program and unfortunately rabbit transit provides some of the buses and drivers. half of the drivers are consistently terrifying and should not be on the road. the other half are ok. this morning, as on many mornings, i rode with "lou" who is one of those who should not be driving. he routinely talks on the cell phone with his friends while driving (contents of the conversations are obviously not work related) and he doesn't pay attention. this morning, he started to pull away from the bus stop while two employees were still trying to exit the bus!!! several people had to yell "stop" or "whoa" so that he would notice the people who were literally one foot to his right. if he knew how to turn his head or check his mirrors, or had any type of situational awareness this type of thing wouldn't happen. it's not the first time. i feel really bad for people who rely on rabbit as their daily all-day transportation. As the Wheel Turns...or, the further adventures of a transit rider... It is my great misfortune to have a morning bus driver who is annoying to the point of maximum frustration. Every day it's a new adventure in absurdity. But this morning tops it - she was so busy yammering away with her front seat buddy that she drove right past our bus stop. Yep, we were all standing at the Park and Ride and watched her go flying up 83N. I guess eventually she figured out her mistake and turned around to pick us up, but did she even apologize? Of course not! She did say, however, that we should not send any emails [to the transit company], although she's sure "some were already sent." Then she laughed and said we should just start our day out with a good laugh. I guess she didn't notice that none of us were laughing. And none of our bosses laugh when we walk in to work late, either. We pulled onto 83N at 8:29 - the bus is supposed to be at Yokumtown (the next stop, 13 miles up the highway) at 7:30. Then she was busy fussing around with the heat vent by her feet, which caused her to drift over into the other lane. A car honked at her and she waved and honked back, and spent a good 5 minutes or so trying to figure out who it was. IT WAS THE DRIVER YOU ALMOST RAN INTO, YOU TWIT! There are signs on the bus that clearly state we are not to engage the driver in conversation when he/she is driving. This might as well be in Swahili, since this driver (and a few select passengers) regularly engages in lively, if stultifying repartee (which I'm sure contributed to this morning's faux pas). For example, this morning we learned that: * The driver's niece is 6'1" and has been divorced. Her husband was much shorter than she. * The driver was said niece's labor coach for her first baby. (She has 3 sons; the baby will be 2 either in May or June.) * The afternoon driver wore such a beautiful wig yesterday. It really brought out her face. * The passenger who is her conversation buddy has burns that are healing nicely - only one is still open. * The driver will be getting her hair cut soon, since she has tried to grow it out but she just can't handle it. * The driver's niece has her own landscaping business, and all the employees are girls. Their tools are pink. She also bartends and is a sometime wedding consultant. She also used to model, even maternity clothes when she was pregnant. Well, you get the idea. The incessant inanity is a horrible way to start the work day - but it's the driver's ability to so easily be distracted that is really worrying. Please, keep your mouth shut and your eyes on the road. We'll all be a lot happier - and safer. read more

I'm not sure what everyone is griping out. It's public transit. I haven't ridden recently, but periods of my life wherein I did need the bus system, it was efficient. I got from here to there when I needed to be there. Never had a "scare" and the few times I was late, it was the fault of an inconsiderate rider, not a driver. read more
