She has lived there for years and had never done this tour, which made it feel like a bit of a discovery for both of us. We ended up at the Lotz House Museum, and it turned out to be one of those unexpectedly memorable experiences. On this particular day, we lucked out with Chuck as our guide. He is a former high school history professor, and you can tell immediately. He does not just recite facts, he brings everything to life with stories, details, and just the right amount of drama. The house itself is not large, but that almost works in its favor. Between the stories of the Lotz family and the vivid accounts of the Battle of Franklin happening right outside, you can practically see it all unfolding as you move from room to room. It is the kind of experience that sticks with you long after you leave, and at around seventeen dollars, it feels like an absolute steal. And do not skip the gift shop. Treat yourself to a peach Nehi soda on your way out. It is unexpectedly fantastic, and I am still thinking about how to get my hands on more.

So much love and Christmas wonder. Decor was beautiful. If you ever visit Clarksville, this is the place to visit! I had to shoot photographs quickly of my friend and her family. We had limited time since they closed at 5 pm. Her children had so much fun trying different poses, sitting with Santa, and trying lamb for the first time. It was fun and educational. The staff was inviting and very hospitable. Most lovely Christmas event in my life so far!

Very cool historical pit stop! This is Fort Williams in the city of Glasgow. This was a union troop…read morefort during the civil war. Confederate troops attacked this fort. The site is nice and clean and kept up. You have a 360 view of the area. It is in the middle of a cemetery. You can also find historical graves. The signs give some info on the site and there's a cool cannon. Nice break to take to check out a historical civil war fort. You don't need much time here, maybe 10 minutes to enjoy the view and sites

The story and history behind this place is amazing and I love to see how well kept everything is, here. Highly recommend giving yourself a couple of hours to explore because there is so much to see! They close at 5pm and we arrived around 4:30pm, so not enough time to explore the museum, maybe next time. We were able to take several photos of the arboretum and let me tell you, you cannot take a bad picture here - everything is stellar!

With a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff we couldn't have had a better experience. This is a beautiful and stunningly gorgeous mansion that was owned and maintained for years by the Maney family. Although during the week days it's a self guided tour there were plenty of signs/markers in each room that explained much. Plus there was a docent who around who answered all questions and in fact offered my wife to see a video of the upstairs. Unfortunately my wife's arthritis had made it a bit difficult to climb up the stairs to see the beautiful bedrooms. We truly enjoyed our visit and my wife even purchased a pie bird in the gift shop as a memento.

A paved parking lot is available near the Visitor's Center. In that building you can buy tickets and tour the museum. The shop has some souvenirs as well as some packaged snacks and bottled water. Restrooms are nearby. Adult admission for the one hour house tour and grounds is $22 per person. Children under six are free. The museum was small, but worth looking at before heading off on the tour. The one hour home tour was interesting and offered plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The guide seemed knowledgeable and enjoyed answering questions.

We were NOT disappointed. We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the house and the barn with all sorts of memorabilia. The highlight of the experience was the music and camaraderie with Johnny Cash's nephew, Mark Alan Cash. We could sit there and listen to him all day. We loved listening to the stories from his personal experiences with his uncle. If we ever get the chance to come back through here, we definitely will.

My son and daughter-in-law just got married here last weekend. We were absolutely shocked at the…read morecondition of the facilities, especially the barn. They have been doing renovations which included sprayed white insulation on every interior wall and the ceiling of the barn. 2 weeks prior my daughter-in-law did a walk-through of the barn and the owner assured her that all of the walls and ceilings would be finished and that the venue would look beautiful. My poor daughter-in-law was i absolute tears when she walked in for the rehearsal the night before and noticed that the entire facility was still completely undone. The interior still had over sprayed chunky insulation on the interior. Nothing had been touched or been finished like she was promised. It looked absolutely terrible. She asked the owner if it would be finished that evening and the owner dismissed her by only replying NO and then rushed out without any other discussion. Her bridesmaids had to rush out to Michaels to find some fabric and bunting to cover an entire corner of the room because it was so unsightly. Also, the bridal suite was filthy dirty including a disgustingly dirty toilet. The room that had all of the decor and chairs and things were covered in an inch of dust and the chairs that we needed to use for the bride and grooms table were covered in black mold. The air conditioning was also not working due to the renovations. I would NEVER recommend this venue to anyone. They should be ashamed for tarnishing what should have been the happiest day of their lives. This was honestly a case of fraud. The venue that they saw in the day they contracted with them was NOT the venue that they had on the day of the wedding
