Native North Shore folks might disagree on that point, I'm not sure. Being a native New Orleanian from Orleans parish & spending almost my entire life in New Orleans (Orleans parish proper) strip malls are a foreign concept.( At least the very large strip malls are. ) Metairie, jefferson, Kenner & the West Bank areas all have some larger strip malls. In uptown New Orleans the closest thing to a strip mall was Riverbend restaurant(1974-1987) (which became an Eckerd's then a Walgreens), Gennaro's Cleaners(before it became Gennaro Luke & Son) & Hibernia bank on Carrollton ave. In any case, I really do feel like driving into (hidden from view/ no signage on the street) strip malls is fun! You never know what little gem you might find. I discovered the North Shore Mandina's this way! What was I talking about? AAH yes, the whole reason I'm typing: Back to reviewing a liquor & smokes store: Town Crier on Hwy. 22 in the strip mall where Walgreen's & Rouse's are located. I like this place for the following reasons: - Ample parking in front - great if your in a hurry & just need a bottle of wine &/or alcohol - Competitive prices - Staff at all locations I've stopped in have been friendly ( hwy 59/ 190 by little Wal-Mart This is what it is. I was excited and pleased. I made my purchase of 2 items (juice and coils) which totaled over $50. That's a bit pricier than most places. Ni big deal, I knew their prices were higher. I brought my juice home, excited to have something new to try. When I opened my box, the juice they sold me had an open seel. I was reluctant to even vape sonething that was already opened. And even worse, orange in color. But i did put a tiny bit in my tank. I was shocked when the juice i purchased tasted like sweaty feet as apposed to the strawberries & cream i was expecting to taste. I hurriedly placed this disgusting flavored bottle back in its box hoping to make my way back to the Mandeville location i purchased it from the following morning at their scheduled opening time. The following morning, i called to see if they could exchange the juice they sneakily made me purchase and the young lady told me to bring it in. I trucked it the 20 miles to Mandeville where they then proceeded to tell me they could do nothing because they dont know if i bought it from them or not since i did not have a receipt(the clerk the evening before failed to provide). I mentioned that I'd used my phone number for the rewards program but still they failed to compensate me only suggesting that I purchase more. I was down to my last $60 and could not do that, I explained. And still no offer of compensation. In other words, shop here at your own risk, check all product before they ring you up. Even McDonalds will fix your order if something is afoul. Not doing so, makes me think they're running a scam. Selling old product to consumers is dangerous business.

Not only was the employee I spoke to short with me, she seemed just as clueless as I was AND she kept walking away while I was talking.. After getting home I realized, I was not given what I was really looking for, but it will make due for now.. What happened was, I couldn't remember the name of the exact coil I was looking for, BUT I knew what modbox- because it was a recent gift purchase. Instead of giving me options, (the two coils that come with the E-Priv kit so I could pick) she just gave me whatever she wanted to.... I will continue to shop here and recommend to friends. HOPEFULLY I can be helped by the more friendly and more knowledgeable employees in the future. A lot of customers may not care much for choices, and they may trust employees recommendations or choices flat out. I believe it is still a good idea to let customers know the options anyway ‍
