Even afterwards, leaving the church and parking lot was streamlined very well. The sanctuary is new from the last time I'd been here and it's very nice. There's a couple of locations that have obstructed views and they have them clearly labeled so you can try to avoid those seats. The sound was great, the decor was perfect and it was a wonderful evening singing and praising Jesus!

The music and children's center is amazing. All the volunteers are amazing what a beautiful environment but the pastor has fallen short. I hesitant about posting this rating but I had to be honest. We are used in depth teaching and having that deeper connection with God during service and this wasn't it. I'm really sad and disappointed.

At Relevant we are our Brothers & Sisters keepers. Where both honor and accountability is shared. Pastor Chuck is an Awesome Man of God. He studies the Word of God faithfully. The messages are delivered through "GOD'S WORD" The Bible and presented in a way that all can relate. Pastor Chuck teaches using real life experiences and things RELEVANT to today. At Relevant there is room for all to grow and serve in ministry. There are classes and workshops offered to help us recognize our special gifts and talents equipping us to serve in any area of ministry. RCIE also has a great Children's Ministry for ages 2-12 where children learn at different stages using biblically based curriculum. There are special outings, field trips, community events and serving opportunities for the children to experience. REAL TALK Youth Ministry Is geared towards teens ages 13-18. With Youth Min. Jaime as facilitator, our Youth feel comfortable to sharing and supporting each other. Together they learn about ministry and being young disciples, as well as how to share the Gift of Christ with others who may be lost. The constant requests for money during Mass are excessive and uncomfortable--being asked multiple times in a single service feels more like a fundraiser than a place of worship. It takes away from what the Mass is supposed to be about. On top of that, the services consistently run much longer than they should. The pacing feels unnecessarily slow, which makes it difficult to stay engaged and leaves you wondering why it's taking so much longer than other churches. The announcements at the end don't help either. They tend to drag on and focus on events that most people clearly aren't attending, which only adds more time to an already long service. It would be far more respectful of people's time to keep these brief or share them elsewhere. Another issue that shouldn't be overlooked is cleanliness. The pews are often not clean, which is surprising and honestly off-putting in a place that should be well cared for. Overall, this church seriously needs to reconsider how it uses people's time and attention during Mass. Right now, it feels disorganized, overly focused on money, and lacking in basic upkeep. Please save your time and money and go to a better,cleaner, church

Now after my unfortunate encounters with grounds worker/environment ministers and an overly…read moreenthusiastic parishioner reverencing the homily, I experienced nothing but the most delightful and heartfelt hospitality from the ministers who intuited my presence by the red robes I was wearing. So kind and gracious and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and generosity shown by Mary Bette and one of her fellow greeters/porters. I felt like I was always one amongst them. After mass I was greeted by a number of parishioners and ministers who showed me great kindness and hospitality too. One of the best church experiences I've ever had. This was a special celebration of the 25th silver jubilee of ordination to the priesthood of the very beloved pastor in the presence of the bishop of the diocese.

My daughter was led to pray for a peer one on one after attending Sunday's service. She was pulled…read moreaside by an adult leader and was questioned about what she was doing and asked what was said in the prayer. The leader said that her prayer was hurtful and implied praying over and for people was not done at Hillside. Wow! I have tried this church and several of their women's bible studies and gratefully God led me to the church I belong. It is inclusive and welcomes prayer and encourages we pray for our community. I pray for Hillside and pray they as a church community strive toward inclusion, not division.
