Received my bees 5/14/2021 on time as agreed and in good condition. I've seen other reviews that stated they got dead bees and no refund. Before RWeaver would place my order I had to respond to an email stating I understand there is no guarantee of live bees. Risa was very professional with me and stated they lose about 2% of their shipments. RWeaver was very up front - not sure why people are complaining about this. read more

I've purchased bees from rweaver and the other weavers both have been fine, I stay with R because they answered my questions, calls and are cheaper . they have a dead bee policy but I've never had to use it. read more

I went by and ordered some Bees. They will not give any refund for non pickup. Not enough time for me to drive and get. As I see on other posts to this site, if allowed them to ship bees would probably be dead. Need to find another place to get bees. read more

I bought a Queen from this thief, the only shipping option was UPS, which cost me just over $100, not counting the cost of the Queen! Because they refused to ship Priority Mail, which would have cost about $10, and took 2 days, she had to travel 3 days, over 2000 miles, and when she finally arrived, the 4 attendants were alive, but my Queen was dead, she didn't even have a head! I live less than 500 miles from Navasota, but this ripoff outfit had to make it as costly as possible for me, and as stressful and dangerous as possible for the Queen. I have my doubts as to whether she was alive when she was shipped, but whatever the case, R Weaver refused to accept responsibility, and I was out almost $150, for absolutely nothing! DO NOT TRUST THIS THIEF! He doesn't give a damn about his customers or their bees, all he cares about is lining his pockets with his customers money! read more

As a first time beekeeper, I eagerly placed my order with R. Weaver Apiaries on February 9, 2022. In April 2022, I was shocked to learn that a recurrence of cancer that I had once conquered in 2000 had returned. I requested a delayed shipment from April 2022 until May 2022 delivery window. On May 12, 2022, I learned that I would not be available to receive my shipment at my home 600 miles from where I am receiving cancer treatments, and I had no one available to assist me. I requested a refund via email in accordance with their stated Cancellation and Refund Terms published on their website and was told that they would not honor my request for a refund and would hold my funds in their store account for future purchases. As of today, their website advertises very proudly that they are sold out of bees for the 2022 season, but have nucs available. Long story short, they are keeping my money until April/May 2023 and they have already sold my cancelled order to someone else. Therefore, they have been paid TWICE for one 3# order of bees and have made no arrangements to pay me interest on the funds they are holding in lieu of the "one time only courtesy refund" they are refusing to give to me. I filed a complaint with my bank, and was told that their refund policy has an exception stating, "For Queens & Package Bees: Should you need to cancel your order, we can do that with a store credit to be applied to a future purchase. If a refund is desired, we offer a "one time only" courtesy refund. Cancellations require a TWO-WEEK NOTICE prior to pick-up/ship date." As of May 12, 2022, I had not been informed of a confirmed shipping date at the time of my request for a full refund. Instead, I was informed via the reply email that "we were planning to ship your order to you on Monday" and refused my request for the "one time only courtesy refund," despite my life-altering cancer diagnosis. I want everyone to know, especially those at R. Weaver Apiaries, that as a result of your refusal to refund my money, I am unable to afford the cancer medications and treatment that the $243.00 would cover this month. I am completely and totally disabled and rely on Social Security Disability once per month. I have faith that God is protecting me and that He will make the appropriate corrections and my needs will be provided for. However, keeping a cancer patient's money for a year with no offer of interest for said time the funds are kept and refusing a refund against their own stated policy is not very good business, and certainly nowhere near being Christian or even God-honoring, no matter what one's faith may be. I have all the evidence to support my position and pray that someone has the love in their heart to correct a situation that perhaps needs to be corrected. I have placed this in God's hands as that is all I am able to do at the moment. Please use caution while dealing with this company. Transparency is crucial. God Bless! read more

Bought a package of bees in 2018, very productive bees, expanded to 24 frames withing the first 6 months very productive. Split hive this year and the queen is going strong, very gentle bees, and fight off mites, hive beetles and wax moth like non other. Can't wait to pick up my second queen read more

Okay I ordered three queen bees from this place what a joke I get my order and one queen honey bee is dead. In there add it said live delivery guaranteed call with in 24 hours I did. Anyway they tell me they don't guarantee live delivery during July to September only June wow one month out of the year. I had ordered two other queens in June and they were both a live. You think a business would want to make there customer happy not them. So I lost the money I paid for that one don't buy from this place they are crooks read more

I ordered 2 mated and clipped queens. I told them I would be out of town during the middle to end of June. On June 7th then queens arrived with plenty of nurse bees. All were alive and somewhat happy due to the flight from Texas, and I'm sure the UPS delivery guy shaking them around didn't help. I let them rest a bit while I got ready to insert the queens into the hives. They were much calmer by then. Will know in a week if I had success. R.Weaver came through with their end of the deal. Too bad Yelp doesn't know much in the way of beekeeping, because this business is one of the greatest. Not only do they sell honeybees in packages, nucs, and full hives...they also sell honeybee related gifts, as well and supplies and equipment for the beekeeper. I bought a pair of starter beehives from them, and was very pleased with the quality of construction and materials. Even when I drove off without checking my order, and came up short a couple of minor pieces, they were happy to mail me what I was missing with no complaints. This is a family organization, and they are friendly and pay attention to details. I look forward to doing more business with them in the future. read more
